Idlewild announces new ride for 2007
Airtime&Gravity replied to N'at Man's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hopefully these don't look like the ones at Cypress Gardens. Great to hear that more of these are being built, and it's great to hear that a traditional park like Idlewild is investing in a classic ride like this. -
Coolest station you've seen

Cyclone at lakeside looks absolutely amazing. At night, it looks really cool all lit up. -
Coaster enthusiasts are sometimes critical(RCPro, ACE, etc.), but other times they are not.(TPR...sometimes) It seems that if a B&M is even slightly rough then it sucks or if an Intamin is rough, then it sucks, but those seem to stay away from this site. While there are some bad coasters out there, there are several good ones, and while they aren't a 250ft Intamin, they are still great rides. I don't care how rough coasters are, I have a SLC, Boomerang, and Iron Wolf in my top 10, and all I look for after I ride a coaster is if I had fun. I could ride a downright painful coaster, but if I had fun, I'll still re ride it.(just once the pain goes away) While I'll cringe when someone says Raging Bull goes 100mph or something like that, I understand that they are not into coasters like me, and I'll move on. While I respect the opinions of enthusiasts who are critical, I understand that they want the best, and I move on. Airtime-Just because I respect them doesn't mean I agree with them-&Gravity

How is it any more or less dull than the rapid ride or log flume that the park already has? Well when you look at JTA at SWO, and even the one at SWSD, they look a lot better themed(even with California effort), and this one looks like they were to lazy to build a similar ride. The ride looks fun, but I just think they should have done something similar to Florida's. It doesn't look any worse than their log flume or rapid ride, but when compared to the other JTAs, this one seems to fall short.

BMR-X Turns up at Camelot in the UK
Airtime&Gravity replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^There will be no mountain, and the coaster didn't even open with the mountain when in Japan. This looks like a good investment for the park. Camelot seems to focus on families, and Knightmare seems to be a ride that anyone can enjoy. I don't know much about Schwarzkopf coasters as I've ridden just one, but would a little kid be able to ride a coaster like this, or is this supposed to be a major thrill ride? -
Best Drop Ride!!!
Airtime&Gravity replied to coaster_shorty's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Giant Drop is amazing, and it is my favorite non coaster ride. It was only my second drop tower, and I was blown away. It is intense, gives a great view, and is a ton of fun. -

I don't see how this will be KI's ten million attraction. I hope that it is themed to the scale of Borg, but I still think that they will have money left over. CF could really do something with this, but knowing them, they will build it on a slab of concrete. -

Probably one of the few times you can ride coasters in the snow at SFMM. It is strange to see it snow down in Valencia even if it is a pathetic amount. Airtime-You call that snow?!-&Gravity

I saw the show, and I thought, well, the Alveys are dead, but so is SFMM. It was a big surprise, and all I could think of is SFMM being destroyed...well, Robb and Elissa dying in the attack was also sad. Airtime-Barry is probably more annoying than Ryan to the Alveys...maybe not-&Gravity

Wow, sounds like Asia will be getting several great coasters for this year. I'm really interested in the motorcycle rocket and the wooden coaster. I can see it being a massive, but then something like Balder might work as well. As for the hyper, anything better than the piece of crap at La Qua will be great.
