  1. Did Elissa also stop counting? I remember talking to her about counting a little bit on the trip in 2012.
  2. Are there any other 18 year olds who have anymore insight on how Cedar Fair and Rocky Mountain Construction could have created this roller coaster to run more efficiently? Any additional input from the inexperienced is appreciated. It was a simply "I would have loved to see.... " statement. I didn't act like I know more than anyone else. I didn't bash the ride or Cedar Point or RMC. There is no question that this ride will have an enormous line, and its capacity will be "average" when compared to other people-eaters in the park. I didn't realize this would be the type of post to instigate an overly sarcastic response. Sheesh. Don't worry -- your post was fine, this is a roller coaster fan forum for god's sake...
  3. 1) It's no longer a joke. It's real life. 2) It blows my mind that you insist on having a passive aggressive response to EVERYTHING. Relax, buddy. It's like you saw a thread where everyone was laughing about Skyline Attractions having some fun with the RCDB guys at IAPPA and insisted on showing up and sucking the life out of the thread by being passive aggressive for no reason. I don't get it. Nobody was trying to start anything, we're having fun because this is inherently funny which is probably the only reason Skyline Attractions posted it in the first place. Nah, champ, I'm bein' serious - It's hilarious the way you triggered all those darned credit-counting enthusiasts! Love it, brotha! Check out this wacky credit I found!
  4. Same. I always wait to ride things before judging their coasterness. That's why I could El Diablo Loop Coaster as 11 credits. It's has 11 times more coasterness than a standard coaster. Pipe Scream ranges from 6 to 7 times more coasterness than a standard coaster so I round up to 7, divide and carry the four. I'm in the presence of a real king of comedy. It's been a real treat to see the same joke posted in every thread for the past couple months. Can't wait for more!!!!!!
  5. Welp, that's good enough for me. I was waiting to judge "coaster-ness" it until I could ride, or at least see videos of it "coasting." I trust the designers when they say it coasts though. And there's still much more questionable credits out there.
  6. wtf?? Do you not know who Ride Entertainment is? Take a goddamn chill pill, buddy. Here's Ride Entertainment's tweet btw, for anyone curious:
  7. This has to be the best coaster they've gotten in 20 years - I'm very happy for this park! Hoping for lap bars only
  8. A knock-off FlowRider? Eww, gross. I think it might be one of those stand up Disk-O rides that Zamperla makes, but it does look like the water park might have a Flow Rider though. You’re saying maybe “Surf Rider” is referring to something else completely? I just know whatever that blue square on the far left of the water park (shaped like a FlowRider Double) is supposed to represent, it’s definitely not an actual FlowRider.
  9. New record for tallest inversion?! It beats GateKeeper by almost 30 ft...
  10. Probably a ton of factors, cost being a huge one. I'm positive that GCI wasn't the only company that had a bid on the project. I would kill just to see the design that RMC may or may not have showed Knott's.
  11. Haha. You may be colorblind if this doesn't look Light blue and silver to you. To be fair, it's a little hard to illustrate the reflectiveness of silver. I see no lavender/purple... Like at all, lol.
  12. Oh hell yes! That coaster is HUGE and will surely make an amazing RMC. I can't wait to revisit Japan
  13. ^ Why do you feel the need to post such gross, sexual comments constantly? Don't you think the one you posted 4 hours ago was enough? It's getting creepy, tbh. Just something to think about in the future, I guess. I still cannot even imagine what a 205 ft 90* drop would feel like in the last row... It's pretty ridiculous. Also... Please, no. I want there to be as much airtime as possible
  14. Lift structure topping out. Just a few more bents and some track left! We're getting there!
  15. Not going to post the links or anything, but heads up; this post apparently started some controversy. This dude is spamming Instagram and Facebook to further beef with TPR because he clearly "hates drama" Ugh, Flying Dino is seriously SO GOOD. It really bums me out when I see the differences in directions these two parks have taken in the past few years
  16. 76 people voted for Steel Forceless as their favorite steel coaster while Storm Runner at Hersheypark didn't even make the list?? What a joke. Also no Tatsu or Hulk or Dragon Challenge on this list and I could think of five steel coasters from Japan that could be on this list and not a single one made it on it. Yeah it's pretty messed up. In fact, there's not one single Asian coaster (Or any coaster outside of North America/Europe). I don't understand how coasters like Conneaut's Blue Streak, Flying Turns, or Coney Island Cyclone make it, but T Express doesn't? Also, it's infuriating that Boss is ranked higher than Wildfire, lol
  17. So it looks like GTA released their Top 50's for each so Here is a fun challenge to take - How many have you ridden? *Obviously GTA is extremely inaccurate at ranking the "Best" roller coasters in the world, I think it's fun to see how many you've been on! For full reference: http://goldenticketawards.com/top-50-wooden-coasters/ http://goldenticketawards.com/top-50-steel-coasters/
  18. Took this picture this afternoon. Track has shown up!
  19. If all goes well I could get to a LOT of Bucket List Parks/Coasters: Local(ish) stuff when things open in Spring RailBlazer HangTime Electric Eel First mainland Europe trip in June/July! Europa Park Holiday Park Phantasialand Liseberg Kolmarden Maybe Energylandia? Other things squeezed in if possible?? Late Summer/Fall Ohio/East PA CF pass for Steel Vengeance and Mystic Timbers Kennywood Waldameer
  20. Still rather be hanging out here than riding most Vekoma SLCs! You sure you don't want to ride an SLC? Wild Adventures is offering Free Admission this weekend to anyone in an evacuation-ordered county!
  21. Here's an FFA filing that shows a proposed 240 ft ride where the Peanuts Pirates Huss Breakdance ride currently sits. Filing: https://oeaaa.faa.gov/oeaaa/external/searchAction.jsp?action=displayOECase&oeCaseID=339845284&row=0 Map Location: https://www.google.com/maps/place/37%C2%B023'40.2%22N+121%C2%B058'16.1%22W/@37.3945,-121.9733277,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d37.3945!4d-121.971139?hl=en Coaster or tower ride?? Wasn't the B&M Hyper (in the 20 year plan) proposed to be 240'?
  22. No, you're right! Check out the latest picture here https://www.instagram.com/coasterheads/ These trains are currently being built at RMC headquarters (presumably for Twisted Cyclone) and they're definitely the legacy model, not the new-generation ones found on TwT or SV. You can tell because they don't have the double road wheel configuration or the steering chassis.
  23. This is probably the best flat they could've gotten! They already have a stellar drop tower so this will be perfect (especially in a relatively dead section of the park). That name is hilariously bad though lol
  24. I just know that a trip of SFOG/Dollywood combined will now have two RMCs, and that's just dandy for me. I probably won't get back out here until 2019, but when I do, this'll make a great weekend trip for me!
