  1. I don't want to live in a world where the original Mean Streak is the the world's "100 best coasters"
  2. 26 in the US now. That's a big jump! Where'd you go?
  3. Is this a tease or just a new marketing video?
  4. My first thought is that they can hire a ton more full-time positions! That may be able to quell some of the seasonal employee problems they had in spring and fall, right? I know I'm all for having employees gaining more experience and staying employed for longer - That could only be better for operations, right?
  5. I wouldn't count on there being any other RMC announced outside of SFOG. I'm felt that the Japan project was Orochi at Nagashima and I'm thinking there will be a Skywarp announced.
  6. Wait, it is??? From who??? I still think it's one of the best RMC coasters out there! Saying "low-tier RMC" is an oxymoron in itself. All ten RMCs I've ridden are in my top 25 coasters. NTG is definitely in the top half, I'd say - I love how long it is!
  7. Yes. That seems like a ton of walking to demand out of your average Joe for one ride
  8. Question - Is the hike back to Zumanjaro as ridiculously long as it looks in a satellite view? It looks like a quarter mile out and quarter mile back, lol
  9. uhhh, Mean Streak's footprint has not been expanded one single square inch, and yet Steel Vengeance will be over 300' longer, so the certainty of your statement above seems quite premature to me. probably because Rattler's triple helix was a slow, boring, pace-killer that needed to go, or so i've heard (i never got to ride it myself). Yep, didn't want to type out a full response, but I agree
  10. According to this naming contest: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdBQkzVBa32awnvkWtu7y9Rb6zLxjoI0FjkodYpgjLfkSfJDw/viewform All the statistics listed match up perfectly with the 320 model (Hydrus at Casino Pier) https://rcdb.com/14231.htm
  11. By controlled they probably meant that it isn't completely free, rather it can be slowed down and doesn't need external devices to go back to normal position Well yeah, nearly all free spinning coasters have rotational resistance - They're not office chairs I assumed that "controlled" meant it'd be like Euro Mir
  12. I missed the confirmation of controlled spinning - Can somebody link me a source of that? Didn't they tout that no ride on TT will be exactly like another? Meaning that your ride is based on free spinning - Not controlled?
  13. A full 90° drop on a long train 200ft coaster... This could be the best drop ever conceived. I'm so glad RMC is finally pushing to the completely vertical drops... It'll be insane
  14. Definitely true. I feel like some enthusiasts start cheerleading certain companies (DAE RMC?!) and hating on others (Boring & Mild). I'm certainly guilty of this with my fanboyism of Intamin. But recently I feel like everyone is significantly improving their designs and that makes me super excited for the next decade. I think it's safe to say we're living in a coaster renaissance!
  15. TTD does. Not sure about the other one. Wicked Twister. Maybe they mean GateKeeper? Does that count?
  16. I forsee a lot of complaining enthusiasts regarding that it's a clone. I don't care, I think it looks fantastic! The theming is a surprise too! Can't wait to get up here opening month
  17. Looks fun. Here's some thoughts: - Kinda wish they spread the layout throughout the trees a little more. Being IN a forest is what makes Outlaw Run, Thunderation, and Powder Keg so great. It's kinda all crowded together in one spot. - I was hoping for a non-spinning option. My enjoyment (and many others here) goes down a bit when spinning. I want to experience that drop going straight. - The drop looks incredible. - Wish there was more airtime moments ala Helix. - The layout is quite long, which is nice! - Those Mack seats are super comfortable! Glad another ride in the US gets them! - The layout is probably designed to be less forceful than say Helix, because it must be able to accommodate the trains in any orientation. Even if it's weaker, it looks like it'll be great for the SDC crowd. (Outlaw Run is insane anyway).
  18. most airtime on any coaster on the planet.... Holy F*CK
  19. Uhhhh... okay? He's probably comparing them due to the sequence of multiple straight airtime hills (first for RMC)
  20. There's a sequence of 5 consecutive airtime hills right after the first overbank. That's a first for RMC! Definitely getting back to this park soon. I305 + Twisted Timbers
