  1. No offense, but I'm really not a fan of the new board. It feels to me that because there is black everywhere that everything has not fully loaded. Maybe if you made the user control panel links and that stuff up there grey it would feel better, and also if there weren't black lines running through everything.
  2. ^Yah it really sucked, I had to go to school on sunday! But its ok, school ended at 12:30 every day!
  3. ^I don't get it- it would be harder to strap people in safely when they are kneeling and the seatbelt always connects between the legs. I think they must mean semi-flying style. Your knees are bent on that I guess?
  4. This seems like one of those rides that is WAY bigger in real life than in pictures. Like Sheikra, that really took me by surprise. Glad you finally got it, I really want to too! Mamba is such a great ride, and this is similar. I'm a little disappointed by lack the airtime on this thing, according to you. The initial drop and first hill on the mamba is some of the best airtime I've ever had (if you sit in the back.)
  5. Are you going to theme this? Because that would be awesome. The patriot is really fun, it's a good addition to WOF. This seems just about perfect. Just something small I noticed, does the zero-g seem stretched out to anyone? Take a look, I know this is Talon, but it's similair to Patriot (I can't seem to find a good pic of Patriot's 0g) The entry/exit is steeper and it starts flipping before it has leveled out. Yours looks a little bit like a rct2 zero-g.
  6. In a nutshell, I'm not going to pay for something that I already have, seeing as I don't go on any trips. I'm also a little annoyed that I wouldn't be able to get into events without getting this membership, because previously I could with just a regular membership. I'm also apposed to there being an 'elite' class of TPR members who pay, I think that could really divide the forums.
  7. Thanks for your advice guys, I went and had a great time. Their cool deal got me two days in the park, and I got a quick que which sped things up a lot on the second day. However, it wasn't too crowded and I could have been fine without it. Might as well do a little review: Montu=awesome. Best invert that I've been on, my #3 rollercoaster ever. Sheikra- It is much, much taller than in pictures. The scale makes it looks fairly normal sized in pictures. Kumba- very enjoyable, but not top 10 material. Rhino rally- way more fun than expected. scorpion- bleh. Cheetah chase- mice are always fun! theming- this was quite cool, it really adds to the experiance tiger exhibit- this is amazing. so cool. hippos- The underwater part is awesome, we caught them feeding and they are so funny!
  8. Thanks for the advice, that is reassuring. ^^Sorry about the bad grammar, I read about the rule but I didn't realize a few missed commas and un-capitalized I's were a big deal.
  9. I am planning to go to Busch Gardens tampa on wed. the 24 this month. How crowded can i expect it to be? Like capacity or 2 hour waits or what? I feel like it would be pretty bad there ,but i just want to check anyway. also, how much better would it be with their quiktrip thingy? by the way i feel like someone needs to set up a visiting parks advice topic, so people could just post there instead of making new topics, like this one. thanks, hobbesx2 p.s. my sister wanted me to add this:
  10. searched for sfstl pics and found a trip review, then spent like a year going through all of your trip reviews before joining
  11. flip, i would say to just hop on over to dubai in a few years but i'm not sure you would be let in... if you did it would be a big hassle. ^scary thought! why would they remove rakevet harim for a wisdom thing though? this ride is far more impressive looking, which is probably what they want, so that you can see if from the highway next to it. it could be a vekoma. is the space big enough for that funny tornado/whirlwind model or whatever it is called? on a side note, where do you live, flip? i was up in ranaana.... maybe... 4 years ago. i went back 2 years ago, but I didn't go to luna park that time. do they still have that funky floating merry go round thing? that was fun.
  12. so rakevet harim is gone? glad i got that credit. i'm confused, though. that was a fun ride, and why spend the money if they don't publicize it anyway? maybe it was removed because of bad capacity? ^yah, but luna park sydney has so much more atmosphere. luna park in israel is small and boring, but the one in sydney is so much fun! its got such a classic, strange feel. too bad ticket prices are $10, or i would have ridden the mouse. its true though, if you live in sydney you're pretty much screwed for coasters. most people don't realize the gold coast, where they all are, is longer than a 10 hour drive away!
  13. Sydney is my favorite city in the world. I went to luna park, and I was not paying $10 for a ride ticket so I didn't get the credit.
  14. but this is a preview for season pass people a couple weeks past the park opening. I guess it was never intended on opening with the park, even though Brandon did say it would once on the blog.
  15. It's not opening with the park??? Damn it. This is not good news...
  16. Thanks for all the replies. I guess I was really wondering if the great, small park atmosphere with a few great rides can outdo the fairly nice, large park atmosphere with lots of rides, some of which are great. I've reviewed all your comments, and I think I've decided on SFOT (despite what the poll said.) Here are my reasons: 1. Everyone here said that SFOT is also good, even if they chose HW 2. We go on road trips a lot, and HW would be on the way to the East Coast, and we would probably never drive through Dallas on the way to anywhere but Dallas (or San Antonio etc.) 3. SFOT is open year round, which gives us lots of flexibility as we're driving, and HW opens in May. 4. Even though the HW rides are superior, almost everyone here seems to thinks SFOT's rides are also high-quality 5. I really enjoyed Six Flags St. Louis, and if the quality is like that it's got to be a winner. Thanks for your opinions- even though I didn't follow the poll results you guys still helped me decide where to go for a great trip. -hobbesx2
  17. Basically, for my birthday this year I get to go to a theme park of my choosing eight hours or less away from Kansas City (driving). I've narrowed it down to two (maybe three) main choices and a few possibilities but I really don't know which one to go with. Can anyone help me figure out which one I should go to? Main choices: Six Flags Over Texas Holiday World Valleyfair! Possibilities (but not very likely for us to go to) Magic Springs & Crystal Falls Adventureland Frontier City Silver Dollar City (but already been so not likely for us to go) Thanks, Hobbesx2
  18. The new colors are sick. I always thought there was a lacking of blue coasters. Also, isn't that the same purple-lavender color that Superman is getting? Did Six Flags just buy a buttload of it? (I didn't read most of the thread so if this is already answered don't get mad lol)
  19. I like these rollercoasters cause they're my name. LOL. Anyway, that looks awesome.
