  1. ^Hey, thanks for the reasurance! Can you possibly get us some info on the rides or park or something? That would be awesome!
  2. I don't think a topic has been created on this yet so... According to the Kansas City Star, Red Development is signing a contract or something for a Legoland, 600 square foot resort, an aquarium, and a boardwalk with some stores or something. If it happens, it will be built in Lee's Summit, Missouri. This is going to be amazing, as Kansas City will change dramatically. I heard about this last spring, but it wasn't passed because that one was to be built in Olathe, Kansas, and Kansas couldn't get it to work. This one actually has a good chance of happening though! There is a very high chance it will pass the vote, and it should be ready for 2009, apparently. I'm really excited, as I live in Kansas City. Full artice here
  3. ^No, I'm getting that also.
  4. It's the only one I've been on, but Kumba at Superland in Israel has one of the coolest que lines I've seen. There's awesome theming and even some snake exhibits inside the rock arches over the que I think. But that one that someone said would Busch- ish is really cool. So is snow pheonix and Tizona.
  5. Ahhh... I see. That makes more sense.
  6. hmmm... I remember that up on the second floor of the mall at the most southern end- your right side if you're entering from the beach or marina- there was this kiddie area with some rides and posters everywhere around the mall pointing to that area with a picture of what looked like Zierer Tivoli trains and track. Also, I remember there being construction around that area. that was a nice mall theme- wise, definately not by what stores were there. I stayed away from most of them so that my mom and sister wouldn't get sidetracked with the little clothes stores.
  7. ^yah, I think I'm much younger than you anyway. Does the Rakevet Harim in Haifa actually have a mountain theme? That would be interesting to see next time I'm there. I think that the one at Park Ha' Emek is a something Galaxi model. (Like at Cliff's Amusement Park). If I remember right at the Herzliyah Marina and Mall they were building a kiddy coaster.
  8. If you would read from my sig, my home park is WOF, obviously stating that I'm NOT Israeli, although I did live there for 7 and 1/2 months. Also, a bunch of the flat rides are Vekoma, that's why it's Vekomaland. FLIPDUDE, where do you live? It would be hilarious if I knew you. I lived in Ranaana near Tel Aviv. Even if I did permanently live in Israel, my coaster count would be very low. It's low now, but that's only because I moved back and got to some parks. The changes to Luna Park sound nice! Is that kiddie go kart ride in between Anaconda and Rakevet Harim still there?!? I rode that with my friend when we went at least 5 times. EDIT- Now I know why I haven't seen any trip reports from you, FLIPDUDE! There's almost nothing to do a PTR on there. By the way, how's the Rakevet Harim in Haifa? I never got to that.
  9. ^Oh, so that's what it is. I almost got on Kumba. Tampa was just a little too far from Sanibel and Captiva Island, or Fort Meyers where I'm spending my winter break. I have to leave to go to the airport in two hours from the time of this writing. Yay, back to KC. At least we're getting the Cedar Fair Maxx Pass for 2007 so I may actually go to WOF more than once. Oh yah, I'm going to Scotland during spring break and I am going to go to M & D's Scotland Theme Park. Yet another interesting PTR.
  10. ^yah, completely right, when I got to both of the parks I though "Vekomaland! Yaaaay......uh oh.
  11. I wonder if anybody's noticed this, but people who put the the bad endings before the good are probably more negative people, unless they have something about it on their mind that they don't want to forget. Best- -Screaming Eagle- I just like the airtime filled hills leading up to the long, relaxing brake run. -Timberwolf- although it's rough, the weird curving camelbacks have a fair amount of airtime and they go over the well- themed (I think) que. -Manhatten Express- Yah, yah, I actually like this ride and the thing where you go into the tunnel and then pop out in the best themed part of the hotel (actually looks like New York) and I though I was just in the middle of the casino, but then you go through a gate thing and you're in the station. It completely confused me! Worst- -Mamba- the whole two slow and boring brake runs are completely useless(well, the second one is) -Goliath- I like Gs and all, but I got tunnel vision on that helix of despair and I've fainted a few times before and it brought back bad memories. -Flying Coaster- the whole ride just sucks so according to logic, the ending must also suck. And it does. Are there even any hills that go up on this ride (besides that first one) I have strange views on rollercoasters at times.
  12. Steel- Ninja @ SFSL Wooden- Timberwolf @ WOF (I actually didn't find Psyclone that bad- it's speed isn't enough to really bash you around like on Timberwolf)
  13. Here are some fresh new photos from two parks in Israel. Luna Park and Superland. They're both a little bit more than a year old now, but I don't believe that anything's changed so on to the pics. I'm sorry that I could only get a few pictures. I didn't actually know about PTRs back then so yah... Luna Park- Nice foliage and atmosphere, a good selection of rides and an overall fun park. Superland- Better rides, worse maintenance, awesome river rapids, the worst part is that there was some akward hight thing on the Loop 2000 (Pinfari somenumbers someletters) like 56.5 inches or something strange and at the time I was too small to ride. (sorry the pics are in the wrong order, normally I have to upload them backward for it to work but not this time . Just read them from the bottom up. ) I'll start this update off with a picture of Luna Park's wet/dry slide. Overview of the nice looking park taken from this park's star attraction, a rotating observation tower that rises strangely. Close up shot of Anaconda and Rakevet Harim (rollercoaster in Hebrew) Last Luna Park photo with Anaconda in the backwards lift hill. Now I'm at Superland, and this is the really rollercoaster tycoon looking log flume. It really does look like that! Some weird flat ride thing called Grand Canyon. I'd never seen this before! Here's Kumba, my first inverted coaster and this park's star attraction besides their sky coaster and awesome river rapids. Kumba's immelman/sidewinder/sea serpant inversion thingy. I can't remember what it's really called. I will end this update with a picture of Kumba's brake run and me saying that I'm not to sure why I rode it twice.
  14. This is so unfair! I've never ridden it before! I only wanted to go on it for the loop! All of the rides I've been wanting to ride are either being demolished or modified to the point where there's no point to even ride them! I am really annoyed!
  15. All this information is really interesting. I don't normally follow that type of rollercoaster news but after reading this I just realized that I've also experianced this. I went to SFSL the weekend after memorial day or something like that. At that time there was friendly staff almost PERFECT ride operatons and an overall very friendly environment. I remember Mr. Freeze being closed so we went to a ride employey (sp?) and he nicely explained the situation and stuff. I was just there about a month ago and the ride operations sucked, the staff were just like, "ugghhh... let me finish this shift so I can get paid and go buy something from Mcdonalds, and when we got there another early and then found out that fright fest causes it to open an hour later the employees were not so nice about it. Says the employee at park information- " yah, we're going to open at eleven today so you just should have checked if you did'nt want to have to wait." Also the decorations for fright fest sucked.
  16. Well after going to SFEG, ANY park is pretty good. And I've oly been there once, good theming, awesome service (except on the ferris wheel). I thought they shold get a flyer that ACTUALLY goes round the park, unlike Tatsu (which is still my #1 but it only goes around Samuri Summit ) or a huge B&M twister hyper sort of like a mix of Rajin' Bull and Goliath at SFOG. Oh yah, I'm planning my next trip hopefully to Cedar Point! Take that! It's only about 6-7 hours driving from KC! And I can easily take that after an 8 hour journey across the state of excitement, Kansas. Go wheat fields!
  17. It wasn't that cold. Only the top of the lifthills were pretty cold. And on opening day they had the switchbacks! But I guess I didn't notice those little details. Whatever.
  18. Cool! This is how you spell '2006' with the shift key down- @))^! LOL! Anyway, SFSL in June something (it was June's first Sunday- I think it was the second) Too bad my stupid computer had to jumble them up. Arriving time! Yay! Batman the Ride's well themed station. Boss's twisted track of overlappingness. I took this picture thinking that I could come up with a good caption but I can't so... yah... this caption is over...THE END... HELLO?!? MOVE ON TO THE NEXT CAPTION ALREADY!!! Good thing people can't fall up or AHHHHHHHHHHHH *splat* "I wonder why the rain is red today, Ted." "Beats me Bob. Probably just acid rain." Mr. Freeze HAD to be closed when we went there. Hopefully it will be open Saturday, October 7 (I'm going again!) Half the park overview shot. Ferris wheel... "I wonder what would happen if I jumped off?" Ninja is very skilled at his profession. Boss! My favorite ride of the day! It'z za Zcreamin' Eaglei (pronounced Ee- gal- ae) More BtR I guess. Just... sort of... a picture of cars and a black rollercoaster. Uhhh... exciting? Hey, now I know where I am! I'm at Six Poles St. Louis! River King Mine Train! Umm... a mine train by Arrow? This picture is very, very, wrong. But it's SToP, (superman Tower of Power) one of SFSL's new for 2006 rides (2006 or 2005?) Bugs Bunny National Park (that selfish rabbot gets his own national park!) SFSL's other new for 2006 atraction. Hello, peasents. I mean Boss! Scooby Doo's Ghostblasters (very fun ride) and stupid Mr. Freeze being closed. Leaving =(
  19. I actually think Batman clones are more fun but don't have as many good elements or airtime they're just more intense and stuffs but are you sure that the Patriot has good theming? " You just walk in a line made of normal concrete and stuff and then you get to the entrance and there isn't much in there, just some wood bars and stuff. I don't even think that they have the numbers of what car/ train you're in! And did they take the switchbackout or something? Why did you tell me that the used the switchbacks on opening day?
  20. Holy *insert random word here*! I rode one of those twice on the Eilat boardwalk and it was fun as hell with tons of ejector airtime and stuffs! The guy there ensured us that it was perfectly safe! Not that I really believed him anyway. I feel sorry for that poor inverse bungee jump . Oh yah and also for that sideways dude.
  21. If you went on the public opening day, I was also there! But what do you mean by "it only used the switchbacks? Is there more to the line?!?" I recently joined the forums so it took a while to post.
  22. Patriot media day! Also Worlds of Fun opening day (April 2006) la dee dah da da... waiting... lala LA DA lee la doo... JUST OPEN THE ROLLERCOASTER ALREADY!!!!!! Click, click, click, putt, putt, putt, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL. Verical loopage! Ummm... un- vertical corkscrewage? Boomerangs are from Australia were they created oak trees *singing* Mamba's the favorite treat, fun for boys and girls to eat *stops singing* (to the tune of the Shnitzel Song from the movie Hoodwinked) Timberwolf! Which really sucked this time! One word about Timberwolf this time- I waited more than half an hour for it because of horrible operations for one train and the ride was rough as an oak trees butt Everyone wanted to ride Patriot so there were almost no lines for anything else Mamba... *drool* Cool jumbly sopports thingy on Spinning Dragons Patriot is radiating like a nucleur power plant Parking lot photo! Goodbye WOF! If you were highway 435, this is what WOF might look like.
  23. One of those Top Spin rides- those are like 15 people to a row and thet squish you all together to make it more compact!
  24. Either Cedar Point and MF or Holiday World and Voyage
