  1. Yeah man they have a new album coming out May, I can't wait to hear it!
  2. I haven't started working yet, dood.
  3. From what I hear, the Son of Beast "box" is gone now, and a small garden is in place. Seems like they are slowly taking this ride off the map! RIP! Apparently gone!
  4. Giving Diamondback a big 'ol hug!
  5. Hey TPR! I go to Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and our Spring Concert this year was put on by rappers J.Cole, Talib Kweli, and Hi-Tek. I hadn't been to a rap show before, so I didn't know what to expect. The stage was put up outside on the "Greenspace" in the middle of campus, nice weather outside! Just a bit cloudy. J.Cole was GREAT. Not only good hip hop, he really entertained the crowd. What I thought was the coolest, was how he let us inside his head. He talked about how it was his first time 'being alone on tour', and always encouraging everyone to put their hands up, jump, etc. Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek were a great duo as well. It was a lot of fun (and neat to see!) how rappers/dj's interact with each other throughout the performance. Talib did a lot of freestyling, and I have to say I've got a lot more respect for hip hop after this show. Hi-Tek is from Cincy, so he had a lot of energy for being in his home town. He invited a few friends up on stage to rap with him. They pretty much just used an Apple laptop and a little table to go off, nothing big it very pretty authentic hip hop. I haven't heard much about them before this, so I didn't know much more than "Just To Get By" going into it. Enjoy the pics! -Zach Narcolepsy....IS AMONG US! In the nasty 'nati! Mix up the mix J.Cole and his DJ Crowd Interaction = A+ Rock on You can tell these guys have tons of fun Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek take the stage Hi-Tek in his home town! Great new-age sound and next song can take you back to the 90's Led Zep! Talib Kweli! I thought he kind of looked like Mos Def Peace! For one of his good friends that died this week. New album coming out May! @HiTekZilla The kids were entertaining lol Yes! Nice tats coming together at the end Two awesome names in hip hop: Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek! Thanks for reading!
  6. The Burj Khalifa looks insane! Very impressive....great pictures, too! -Zach
  7. Check out the thread, there's already tons of details on Invertigo.
  8. Ha. That video was scarrier than Thirteen's!
  9. As long as I can remember, this log flume pretty much rides on the wheels most of the time. It hardly does any floating at all. This results in a bumpy, slow ride....doesn't really feel much like a log flume. Oh, and Hurler at Carowinds is one of the roughest coasters I've ever been on.
  10. I doubt KI would put new restraints from Vekoma in the budget, but maybe it's on the wishlist. Only one train, just one train!
  11. The one at my home park where I work at nearly every day, and the same Invertigo I have actually worked at? Yep! I'm not sure how often it's down, but seems like once a week.
  12. If Invertigo isn't down, then it's atleast got 3-5 seats closed. The restraints have been to hell and back, they look horrible, and a few of them are roped off because they have jagged metal pieces sticking out of them! When it's open, it's not that bad of a ride. When it's running well and you're in the front, the backwards loop is VERY intense.
  13. Wow. Looks like a Boulder Dash turned suspended...I like Flight Deck at KI, so I'm sure this would have been incredible.
  14. I thought La Vibora at SFOT is a REALLY fun ride! I sat in the front seat and even got some nice wierd airtime. It wasn't bumpy or rough, it went into the brakes all right to me. I thought it was very cool, and very like-able!
  15. It honestly won't bug me that Backlot's trains changed. I ride that ride for one reason: The insane helix of death after the launch! And that isn't going to change.
  16. Awesome! I liked Dreamworld a lot, it was a cool little park. Giant Drop was one of the best experiences of my life, and Tower of Terror was fun. Intamin's Claw Giant Frisbee is VERY impressive, and is so much better than HUSS!
  17. Wow, what to do at Holiday World first....ride the best coaster I've been on, or get in line for what looks like the best waterpark ride!!
  18. Apollo looks like SUCH a good ride. Those turns and drops just look amazing. Thanks for those pictures! I'd love to see more of Apollo if you have any.
  19. TPR sports are the best! When we were at SFFT, there were a few passing storms, so after dinner they gave us frisbees, soccer balls, volleyball, and footballs! Everyone was having a great time running around like little kids at recess!
  20. Sounds like what Schlitterbahn did on some of their rides to slow riders down (Various tube slides in the old section and Dragon's Revenge)
  21. Looks like a lot of fun, man! Let me know when you're going to stop by Kings Island this year Craig! I'm sure I'll be heading to Indiana a few times as well.
  22. Don't have high expectations for Beast. There is trims all over it. Sometimes it would crawl though straight sections fo track. Crawl? Despite all the trimming, I'd say every ride I've had it's still a VERY fast ride and has some strong laterals on a good day. The only time it's crawling is on the lift hill!
  23. Here's the 2010 park brochure. 1.bmp 2.bmp 8.bmp 9.bmp 3.bmp 4.bmp 5.bmp 6.bmp 7.bmp back.bmp
  24. http://www.visitkingsisland.com/_upload/pdf/2010/park_guide/2010_Park_Guide.pdf Son of Beast is OFF the map! The park looks so much better already...
  25. Gary's at KD right now....he said it's 5 minutes for the Intimidator single ride line!
