  1. I've been on Mantis, Scorcher, and Vortex (Carowinds). I think Mantis is just too long, my legs kill me after that ride. It's weird, I've had great rides on it, but recently it just hasn't been how I remembered. Vortex as fun, I rode in 2004. Don't remember it being rough at all. GA Scorcher was awesome, and I loved EVERY second of it. There was this awesome airtime divebombing turn that really impressed me, along with the corkscrew.
  2. I've been on: -Intamin 1st gens -2nd gens -3rd gens -Acrophobia -Kemah's Drop Zone -WDW TOT -DCA TOT -S&S Double shot -S&S Combo -S&S Space shot -S&S Down shot -Beech Bend's drop tower -Coney Island's (OH) American -Dreamworld's 420ft tall GIANT DROP -Warner Bros Movie World Space Shot I like the Tower of Terrors, Acrophobia, and Giant Drop the best. The Combo tower at SFFT was VERY good, and much better than SFOT. Kemah and Beech Bend's towers are those small, portable one...WOW. Kings Island's 3rd gen drop tower is very good, always impressed with that. Holiday World's double shot is VERY impressive, always ride that a few times. Movie World Australia's Batman Space shot was a surprise, like a 200ft double shot. I'm going to miss Demon Drop at CP...that ride put my stomach in my throat unlike any other drop ride!
  3. Unless you know someone, a taxi or maybe the metro are the only ways I can think of man. I'm sure the Cincinnati metro might have a few busses that come from the city, but that's it. I'd check out the metro's website, google that.
  4. Holiday World is doing an AWESOME job of keeping everyone update on the Voyage. With Andrew and I going a week from tomorrow, I'm hoping they will be on and running. Apparently testing is supposed to start tomorrow. Can't wait!
  5. 1. Afterburn 2. Raptor 3. Great White 4. Batman (SFOG) 5. Batman (SFOT)
  6. Best: Splash Mountain (WDW/DL) Wild Wild West - Movie World Australia Splashdown - SeaWorld San Antonio Dollywood's flume Worst: Race Charlie Brown - Kings Island If it counts, Pilgrims Plunge, I thought, was horrible.
  7. Either way, Voyage is amazing. Best coaster ride I've ever been on. Can't wait for a week from Monday!
  8. Maybe on a bright colored steel coaster....but on a wooden coaster? Hell no! I think that ad would look cool on Mindbender or Bizarro, but El Toro? Why would they sell out THAT coaster? Don't they know how highly respected it is? But hey, if it pulls them out of debt just as quickly as they've been going, then go for it. STRIDE GUM - Official gum of coaster enthusiasts...and Intamin! Buy KFC! Buy Chevy! Eat McDonalds! Get a Droid!
  9. Wooooooow. Great video! They showed off the coaster quite well. I can't wait to see this thing start testing.
  10. Can't wait to see Millennium from the boat when you're right next to the island!
  11. Wow I just didn't think that was realistic, even when I went last May on a Wednesday (during a school day) but they were running one train ops on Raven and Legend. Fair enough then! The line I waited in for the flyers was HORRIBLE. It was one switchback, and I think they were running 3-4 flyers. Dear god that was a mistake. My arms are tired after one ride on Voyage...not sure if I could do it 29 times.
  12. Are you serious? You have to be joking.
  13. Great pictures! I can't believe all the positive things I'm hearing about Intimidator. I really want to get on that sucker now. Goliath and Diamondback will prove though competition. Maybe I caught Georgia Cyclone on a good day, excuse me, GREAT day because I thought it was one of the best woodies I had been on! The airtime in the last car was crazy, and the ride wasn't rough at all, just a good wooden coaster feel to it. No Acrophobia? SFOG's Batman was probably the most intense coaster experience I had been on. Two times in a row in the front seat and I had to sit down for a while to put my head on straight! It was a killer hot day, too. Probably 95+ degreese.
  14. Really? That's a bummer. I have a few of those from past years. They were cool to look at! Very nice, high quality I'd say. That's too bad then!
  15. May 17th can't get here sooner. OMG this will be amazing!!
  16. Thanks for the responses. We're stuck to a Monday or Tuesday (planning on Holiday World Monday and CP Tuesday). Hey, as long as we get on all the major rides I'm fine. I've never had trouble with TTD being down everytime I'm there, so hopefully we won't this time!
  17. Picture isn't working for me. Anyone else having the same problem? Upload it toTPR! It never fails!
  18. Tuesday is what I'm planning. So how were the lines? I've experienced many types of 'busy' Hopefully after 3-4PM it'll clear up a bit. Park's open 'till 8.
  19. Question to regular CP-goers/those who have experienced: CP during Math and Science week. How are the crowds? Should be going on a Monday or Tuesday and it's Math and Science week, I'm hoping it won't be that bad! -Zach
  20. We are all VERY serious about this. VERY VERY SERIOUS! Hey Guy! Remember our last ride in the back seat? untitled.bmp The water is infected....WITH FIRE?!
  21. Good for the GG guys. Not only selling MORE wooden coasters (when they just built the FIRST coaster in China) but they are also putting four more Timberliners out there!
  22. Sure, I've had some "good" rides on SOB in the 9 years I've attended Kings Island. But even the BEST ride I've ever had on SOB (2008, July 4th at night while the fireworks were going off, and the MCBR was off) was still very rough, and still not high on my wooden coaster list. A good ride came up maybe twice a season. So what, 2 good rides a year out of maybe....20-30 rides a season? Meh.
  23. Wow I didn't know this was going public! Hmmm what's the name of that amazing wooden coaster company that has home offices 20 minutes away? I think they built this coaster called the Voyage?
  24. Removing that huge sign seems like a lot of trouble to go to if they were planning to bring SoB back--especially when all they had to do was chain off or otherwise block access to the queue. We shall see. Chuck's right. SOB's been chained off for the past few years. Nothing has been said, but actions are louder than words!
