  1. X2, oh wait, thats not actually a real new attraction... I think I agree with whoever said Goliath at SFFT, The name just doesn't fit with a layout that is known for it's tight/compact nature, and there is a clone right down the road. I also think Thunderhawk at MA isn't really pointless, but I think they should at least upgrade to lap-bar trains...
  2. http://rcdb.com/qs1.htm?quicksearch=jeepers ..well, some are located in northern states, they're open all year, indoor, and include a credit....
  3. I think about... alot of parks... usually if theres pictures on a site... lately I have thought about Hershey a bit (deciding on whether to go for Candy lane, thinking about Fahrenheit)
  4. This one is fresh from my trip to SFNE (just got in today) (by a man while standing in line for Mind Eraser facing/watching the ride from the entrance to the station, turns around and spots Superman) "Wow! I didn't know this ride went all around the park!!"
  5. I was looking at stopping there on the way back from MA actually, and again next summer when its open, glad I have another chance. Also, thanks for that little tip larrygator, I'll do that in case I should stop in on the way back to PA...
  6. Nice pics, funny how superman is in all pink, and the restraints got some kinda bondage kink-thing goin' on
  7. Holiday World being overrated almost goes without saying. It's basically an excellent water park with 3 good woodies. Although 3 good coasters is a lot more than many parks have, the overall picture of the rides side is that it's not really built up enough to be considered among the best. You would be stoned to death at a certain other site for saying anything remotely negative about the greatest most superest park in the entire universe
  8. I'm guessing they're just going to import that cheesy logo over to KD as well lol.
  9. I still can't believe Superman will be down when I'm going up there for frightfest this weekend.
  10. Yeah its a park doing what it is suppose to do, where are the "SFGA Served An Eatable Burger With A Smile" stories? I'm glad they are enforcing stuff, I guess its out there as a warning for others, but, the policy itself should be warning enough and it should be expected that they enforce it.
  11. Sounds like they have a decent handle on what they are doing, the park never really looked "disneylike" to me, or unlike anything out of the ordinary. That "Westcot" idea seems really cool though, shame it never went through, possibly it might come up again sometime as an idea for another park. I'm also glad they never went with combining the parks, that would seem somewhat lazy IMO, like saying instead of improving the park let's just put it in the same gate so we can say it gets the same guests as Disneyland lol. ^Yeah I agree, they were 2 rides that can be found at many other theme parks exactly as they were (a drop ride and a swing ride) with nothing special. ToT is how Disney really does a drop ride. I wish the article would have mentioned the sun wheel.
  12. I agree the waterslide looks painful, and that clear plastic "roof* on the top section, if you happen to be going down with your head up just high enough or sitting up too much due to the angle you are going down it, yeeooouchhh, reminds me of that slide at Four Bears (now closed), I remember a side called Lightning where you had to wear a helmet lol, I didn't give it a shot...
  13. wow... that video is awesome, I haven't been following the entire thread, but that is some very cool stuff.
  14. I know this has probably been said somewhere, but Cedar Fair should be watching this for their SLC going into MiAdv. This is great though, I love the placement of that ride around the waterslides and overlooking the ocean, this will be a great change and I look forward to checking it out.
  15. That is pretty funny they offered you a stamp... that doesn't make any sense lol. I think they should just change Ride Of Steel, sounds pretty cheesy, I guess it's simple but, eh, ah well, itll always be "the other superman ride of steel". They even say "soar like a man of steel" on the description at their website... *A*man of steel?! what other "man of steel" is there? Also check out the Viper video, which is of Viper at SFMM lol.... still looks like a nice park though.
  16. ^I wondered that myself, out of all rides to be called "Sidewinder", an arrow shuttle??
  17. Nice pics, I really enjoy your PTRs of all of these smaller parks!
  18. Nice pics, I just find it funny in the last one you see one of those tiny kiddy slides in the backround. Why would you have one of those if your dad built 2 coasters in your backyard? lol It would be lame in comparason.
  19. lol so if the kid didn't understand there was a person inside, he was really wanting to hit pluto then, eep!
  20. There were misc structure parts there when I went behind that fence, I didn't think anything of it really, but then again who knows. They could have been supports. Maybe I should have snapped a picture lol.
  21. http://www.steelforce.com/ http://www.steelforce.com/talon.php http://www.steelforce.com/venom.php They pretty much covered most of Dorney Park there if Dorney keeps the "steel venom" name for the impulse lol. (Steel Force, and 2 of the lines are Talon and Steel venom. http://www.raptorware.com/?gclid=COzN087tsI4CFQ1_Hgodw3CRIw Raptor Software http://cancord.thomasnet.com/viewitems/se-cotton-rope-cord-twine-sash-cord-hercules-brand/hercules-cotton-sash-cord Hercules sure was tough... cotton sash cord.. http://www.theplasticsplace.com/grizzly.html Grizzly Brand garbage bags... Oh.. and well, when I searched "Dominator"... http://www.mybodyvibes.com/store/bv226.asp The customer review(s) is(are) priceless...
  22. *sigh* I miss Knoebels. My family was there all weekend, as my family ALWAYS is and has been the last 10+ labor day weekends, camping. This was the first (and hopefully LAST) year I didn't make it because I couldn't take off work. I did get there earlier this year though, so I made it at least once. Nice pics though, I was looking for them in some of the pics with the crowds lol. Also, is that person climbing n the back of the boat in the pic of the motorboats?!
  23. I liked the new Halloween, but unlike the orig, I don't think Michael is truly evil in this one. *spoilers* I didn't think he was truly evil because in this one I felt bad for him, especially when he tries to show laurie the photograph hes kept for so long of him holding her as a baby, that was actually sad, maybe all his life he just wanted to find her and know her, the one person as a kid he really cared for, who knows what would have happened if she only understood. I guess in a sense that made the film weeker for me, since the first one hes flat our evil (and makes more sense when in part 6 it is explained with the cult etc), this one just adds a diff story of him just being mistreated as a child growing up for revenge. It was alright, better then most of the other "new" slashers and hollywood trash these days.
