  1. I am totally interested in the concept and the model you are showing looks amazing but I just think that hundreds of dollars for these is way too expensive. I collect the Coaster Dynamix models and even at 33 bucks a piece, I think those are a little expensive. Although, your product looks like a lot nicer, correct product. The one thing I hate about the CD models is that they are not always correct (the Diamondback train is 4 across seating and not staggered and the Kumba train is just a floorless model with a floor added but doesn't look like the real train and the Sheikra train is 10 across and not 8.)
  2. So far: Steel: I-305 Wood: Either Rattler for height or Voyage for drop but I will be going to GrAdv in September so it will be KK and ET then.
  3. When we were there in April we went to SFFT on a Friday when kids were still in school and we waited until later to ride Rattler. That was a huge mistake. It ended up being an hour and a half wait for the shittiest wooden coaster I have ever ridden. Definitely hit that and the Boomerang first. After that I would hit Poltergeist and wait til the end of your day/credit run to hit Goliath. It was only running one train and every other train they would just send everyone in the flash pass line. It was REALLY frustrating. The entire park did this almost all day with the flash passes. They would let a whole train fill up with whoever was waiting in the FP line.
  4. My partner and I have been to Cherokee several times to go to Harrah's for a little gambling. I have seen the sign for this place many times but we have never stopped in to ride the Rudicoaster. Seems a little pointless to me since it is a powered coaster. Too bad Maggie Valley isn't still open...I still don't have that credit.
  5. I was surprised by Hypersonic being removed. It seemed to come out of left field. Glad I got a ride on it in October of that year. I was also a little surprised by Chang being removed as well. It was obviously the best ride in the park.
  6. We were at the park in April and I can totally agree that SFOT is my favorite SF park so far. Going to GrAdv in September so I will see how that one fares. I also really like SFDK as well. NTAG made it into my number 2 steel spot so I can totally agree with your comments. What an amazing ride!
  7. Coasterguy, reveal yourself! LOL
  8. ^^ Coasterguy, which one were you? ^Thanks BB...do you and your wife get down here often?
  9. Since Scott (Beemerboy) already did a DDD report, mine will not be as expansive. My overall thoughts on the ride are that it is a very smooth, quiet, fun ride. The lap bars are a great addition as OTSR's on Eurofighters can be a little rough and headbanging. The barrel roll and the drop were my favorite parts as they had lots of air/hang time. I also love that each train has different logos on the front and wings. Great addition! I got a total of ten rides on media day. Also grabbed a few rides on Goliath since they had it open for us. There was a buffet and a grab bag at the end as we were leaving that had lots of little surprises in it for us. Thank you Brad and SFOG for inviting us! My review: First sitting in the seats it felt just like a regular eurofighter seat. Next thing you know the lap bars are coming down by themselves. I was surprised by this as none of the others do that. They are pneumatic lap bars like on NTAG. You can pull them down and wherever they stop is where they are locked. They come by to make sure you are in nice and tight. We roll out of the station and to the lift. The chain starts rolling and up we go. At the top we throw our hands in the air and as you go over the drop it is slowed by some magnetic brakes and then releases immediately and you get some major airtime. You drop and fly through the fire rings with mist and up into the dive loop. It whips to the right and you hang upside down for a minute before plunging down and up into the turn. Before you know it you are dropping again and into the immelman turn. It is hard to say this is an inversion when you don't really get all the way upside down, but none the less. Then you head into the MCBR which is only a quick pause. You dive to the left, up over a small hill and then to the right into the mist filled tunnel. As you exit the tunnel you go into the barrel roll and it is pure hang time. Probably the best part on the ride as you are TOTALLY hanging on the lap bar. You exit the barrel roll and do a small dip before entering the final brakes. My overall impression of this ride is a very good one. Smooth, quiet, fun, good air, nice inversions and plenty of hang time. The only other eurofighter I have ridden is Mystery Mine. As far as theming I give the edge to MM but for ride experience I give the edge to DDD. This is easily SFOG's 2nd or 3rd best coaster under Goliath and Mindbender. I hope you enjoyed my report...onto the pictures...which I know you came here for anyway...
  10. Not to steal Scott's thunder but I was there yesterday as well and I am 250 pounds with a big belly and I had no problem with the seat. There is no seat belt either. It is just the lapbar, but they do make sure they staple you in and for good reason too. The hangtime on the drop, the dive loop and the barrel roll could definitely throw you out if it was too loose.
  11. Hey Scott, it was great meeting you today! Glad you had fun...will try to post my pics tomorrow...
  12. Not me. I am none too impressed. I think it will be a little fun but thats about it. I am more excited for our DDD than this.
  13. Going to media day today. I will try to post pictures later.
  14. Is anyone besides me tired of seeing pictures of this? I mean it looks fun and all but you can only have so many pictures of the same thing.
  15. Hey Chad, It was nice meeting you at SFOG! Glad you enjoyed our park. You even got my partner and two of my friends in your Acrophobia picture! LOL Hopefully catch you around at some other parks/events.
  16. As an attendee of this event every year since it started, I will plug this event and say that it is the best coaster event I have ever been to. Pete and the DW crew do everything in their power to make this event awesome and if you haven't been before, then you should. It is totally worth every penny! DW is an amazing place and Pete is an awesome guy! (Pete, sorry that we won't make it this year as we just did a Texas trip and are broke, but we will be sad to miss it. Hope everyone has a blast!) I forgot that my avatar on here is from the first TITH and the Thunderhead tour!
  17. Was at the park yesterday and got some pics of it testing. They were running the white train empty and it was crawling through the course. They were running the black train full of water dummies and it was going much faster. No, it wasn't flying through the course but I think once the trains get worn in and heat up and the train is full of people then I am sure they will haul. It was really cool to watch it test. They just kept running them over and over the whole day. As Scott said before me, there is not much of a pause at the top, it just crawls over and then is released pretty quickly. Can't wait for media day!
  18. I think most people generally hated Hypersonic XLC. Most said that it smacked them in the back of the head over the top but I absolutely loved it. I thought it was a great ride and no head smacking. It is still amazing to me that someone could engineer a coaster to go from 0-80 in 1.5 seconds.
  19. So far this year... Dixieland Lake Winnie SFOG BGT SWO SFFT SWSA SFOT Later this year...Knoebels, Dorney, Hershey and GrAdv Maybe this year...Wild Adventures and Carowinds
  20. I have ridden 6 classic... Alabama Adventure Carowinds Wild Adventures SFDK SFOT SFFT Just picked up the two in Texas last weekend...there is no reason for 2 boomerangs to be that close to each other. I will also pick up the Hershey one in September. I have also ridden 3 GIB: Invertigo-CGA Invertigo-KI Deja Vu-SFOG All of them are crap...
  21. YES!!! Someone else that doesn't know a damn thing about Star Wars and could care less! I love you Elissa! People always look at me retarded when I say I hate Star Wars and they call me a blasphemer. Sorry but Sci-Fi isn't for everyone.
  22. Watched a movie last night calle The House of the Devil that really creeped me out. Nothing really happens in most of the movie but the ending had a lot of action. It was shot like it was in the 80's and it was grainy looking. The whole thing was just creepy.
  23. @Jakizle...No, Shockwave was not open at all on Sunday and neither was Judge Roy Scream...2 credits missed on this trip. @Texcoaster, that Uncle Steve guy is not who we talked to and the supervisor we mentioned was not the President either. I think the supervisor was Joan and the carpenter was Dave...if I am not mistaken...although Dave was handsome as well. They were both extremely nice and welcoming employees as I wish all Six Flags employees would be!
  24. I was in Texas all weekend for our Texas trip. Hit SFFT, SWSA and SFOT. We were at SFOT yesterday as soon as the park opened and were at the rope and were walked back to NTG. The energy in the crowd was insane! No one could wait to get back to ride the NTG. We were among the first few in line (as others ran around us on the way back.) I chose to ride in the front seat first and was on the 6th train out (blue.) My first ride was insanity. The double up after the first drop is ridiculous. I thought my femur bones were going to break from the insane ejector air. I will not give a detailed ride review here because there are several others already but I will say that this ride is AMAZING! I also got a back seat ride in the black train later in the day and that ride really solidified my opinion that this coaster is now my number 2 favorite steel coaster!!!! Yes, it was that good!! After that ride I also got to meet the main carpenter for the ride and a supervisor from the park that were both EXTREMELY nice and were willing to talk to us about the ride and ask our opinions. The only negative thing we had to say about the ride is that the mist in all the tunnels were on too strong and we actually got really wet on our rides, but other than that this thing is absolutely amazing. Everyone needs to ride NTG as soon as possible!!! PS-SFOT is now one of my favorite parks as well...NTG, Titan and Mr. Freeze were all awesome!
