  1. There's that crazy drop Omega side at Space -- I NEVER yell on coasters, except that little 30 ft drop there.
  2. I'm sorry to hear about your experience at the Block Robb. Personally, I won't go near that area. I've had way too many experiences with crazy kids that I just won't touch it with a 10 foot pole. Your guys' experience with an unruly kid there just doesn't surprise me. You should have thrown him a bowling ball and said 'catch'. Maybe he would have dropped it, stubbed his tow and ran to daddy and left you alone. JUST KIDDING FOR FOLKS WITH NO WARPED SENSE OF HUMOR. But this is of course coming from someone who can't handle Irvine Spectrum either or parts of Fashion Island. I need some good old fashioned repressed waspy kids around at a mall. Whatever happened to them. Probably all acting out now, in their 30's. I prefer kids/teenagers sedated and numb. Crystal Cove Promenade, maybe Mission Viejo Mall on a good day-- those I can tolerate lol Claim Jumper Rocks, Jose "it doesn't always take a village" Eber
  3. Actually, its the EPCOT stellated truncated icosahedron, but you know why be technical!
  4. I'm not a fan of the new deluxe resorts, they have small rooms (Wilderness Lodge, AK Lodge). But with the AP discounts, they go as high as 45% off (according to mousesavers.com . . . sometimes though you don't need the AP to get great discounts... Check it out: http://www.mousesavers.com/annualpass.html Edit: When I've bought rooms, I've done an initial charge as low as a dollar...you can pay when you get there I think...
  5. LOL you and I would not get along. I'm at Space Mountain every so often and I notice BIG differences between the two sides here at WDW, I'm sure you'd say they are exactly the same lol. Don't forget the color -- that makes KK different too
  6. Beaches and cream is the bomb! My wife and I couldn't finish our kitchen sink though, next time. I didn't like what I had at Club 33 (only been there once) meh...to me, Four Seasons Pavilion restaurant (Newport Beach) is a much safer bet and its the same price. I do hope they build their resort soon here. Anyone eaten at Todd English's restaurant at the Dolphin? My wife took me out for my birthday. Not bad. Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge has some nice ice wine.
  7. I thought that was really funny for some reason..."reserve judgement" don't most theme park message boards seem to focus on ride evaluation or attraction evaluation? I mean, is premature evaluation really then such a bad thing? Jose
  8. Sounds like a lot of fun, great and nice idea guys. (We need a Florida version!)
  9. This was for a Thrill network contest on a 'crazy' mouse, or wild mouse, or something like that. With the 'tunnel' there shouldn't be any intersections, al though its very tight. There is some thrusting, not good, but its one of my first coaster. Coaster B.nltrack
  10. I wanted as compact ride as possible. Its kinda tame, but if you want it faster, just adjust the launch speed another 5 mph -- that will make it hurt. Coaster B will come up soon. Coaster C.nltrack
  11. You can always go to Tower Of Terror.com Read the books I recommended. They have some very interesting 'official' info on the ride. Lot of crap/misguided info out there. I'm not sure I'm even %100, maybe 95% right in what I've said.
  12. I hear the McDonalds on property pays really well. MMMM Mcdonalds....
  13. Yah, those are abbys. (I don't know anything about cats) Thats my wife's department. She's getting one next week.
  14. Here's a fourth: buy a Mac. My laptop automatically highlights incorrectly spelt words. If I make a mistake, I ctrl click on the underlined word and a pop-up appears of all possible matches. Wow, Macs CAN be useful! Ain't that special
  15. I remember when Steve went to almost '0' buckeroos a year...then it took a few years and reports came out of all the perks...and soon some money magazine ran an article about how he's one of the most overpaid execs (because of the jet that was gifted to him by the board etc.). click here for a snippet.
  16. I don't know why, but now I'm at TL almost every day (keeps me from getting too tubby, climbing up to Keelhaul falls or Storm Slides). The environment is lush, and you have the latest and greatest from Disney (at waterparks). I almost bitchslapped another patron today though. Because of her this young girl had to stop on a slide (this woman was wearing jean shorts a no no -- had rivets and got stuck), so the poor girl almost ran into her, than I kareen into this girl, thank God I wasn't going at full speed I would have done serious damage. Some people can be so mindless. Anywho.. disneyfan1313: One of my wife's sorority sisters used to work for Disney in Anaheim, managing the whole marketing aspect of DCA when it first opened. She got sucky pay (per industry average) and said most of her co-workers did too. Disney takes advantage of people knowing that its a trade off, a nice name like 'disney' resume equals crap(ier) pay. Off hand I know that in my old industry, Star Architects did this all the time, nice name on the resume, crap-tastic pay, even in a high rent area like Manhattan. McDonalds used to pull this on people, maybe they still do.
  17. If the streets were actually that wide, would be nice!
  18. That's actually not a bad analogy...the car is able to freely slip in and out of said harness. The difference between DCA and MGM is that at MGM the car has a 'self propelled' ability, whereas at DCA its just pushed and pulled into that (single) harness. MGM would have two. Load area and drop shaft. DCA one harness only.
  19. I saw it featured on the tonight show today, I thought I'd contribute a little rodent love.
  20. Fuer Elissa and everyone who likes rats.
  21. I got 444 on my first try... Regardless, my children do not approve:
  22. This was a verrrry interesting map...I'll try and get a better pic: Transport: Odd sort of Jungle Cruise section...the boogy men thingys. Overall map of Jungle cruise: Overall TDL popup map:
  23. Don't they look faaaabulous? Garden festival coming up -- bushes in the pond NBC @ Disney, not Universal? More Flower and Garden Prep ITS A NEW ATTRACTION!!! Shame that inner area isn't available to peruse: More Flower and Garden: (bushes in water) Are skunks rodents? In France: In Tokyo: Around: A 'hot' live act: The arch bases last week were painted with something silver like, now they are painted white, no idea what/why/who cares. Shot of the day: Xtra whip cream on 5 desserts. I'd be cool with that if he wasn't at an unhealthy weight and not keeping my wife from her tiramisu. Fur Rob: Flowers at Night: Golf Ball at Night: [/img]
  24. don't get me started here...do you have a mechanical engineering degree? Structural? ARRGH!
