  1. Nope -- very fun. Relatively smooth (smoother than I can do). did you use a smoother? Good job. Jose p.s. love San Diego.
  2. Oh, its harmless! Give it a ride.
  3. Buy a Mac Mini and use iPhoto? (I have zip knowledge of tech -- iphoto gives various options to get your image the right size). My proselytizing has now finished.
  4. AAh, I wrote something here, but its not worth it.
  5. well according to the article -- intamin cost quite a bit more -- I guess you pay for quality. personally, I avoid RNR at the back -- middle front is smoothest if I recollect correctly... that ride sounds cool... EE is also Vekoma, maybe disney and them have a long term contract
  6. Aaaaaaand two months later: I've never heard of a lake here were lots of people died. I just moved here in June. But have been familiar with Celebration since its inception . . . . this sounds like a juicy tale! (My wife and i have seen two gators in the lakes here -- were they gator related deaths?)
  7. I had an AP Premium so I loved the structure -- very easy. Now here at WDW -- meh -- I used to cheat the system (even though I don't need to pay for parking) by grabbing a snack at a hotel then hoping on the monorail (to justify parking there). Now though, lately, I'll find some good spots before the park closes and just get on the monorail. Now however that they are installing those automatic gates on the express side, they won't let people board at night to express your way too the MK -- so today I just walked to the Polynesian and used the monorail there, and took the little boat back. Just can't stand crowds so -- I avoid the ferry when there are lots of people. I personally would just like to see more security at WDW -- I think it would be nice for them to have a gate there at Fort Wilderness. Or further up the street. Speaking of gates -- the signs that cross the freeway now have a little addendum about the happiest celebration on earth.
  8. Sorry. The one at Disneyland in California. Am I the only one that sees use in Disney's official site? From the horsey's mouth: (its the red dot)
  9. You are talking about Disneyland now? Hong Kong Disneyland? WDW?
  10. Oh come on people, this is funny! Kellogg owns keebler -- the Keebler elf house.... Animal Kingdom...I'm explaining a joke, and that's bad. . . Sigh. I thought it was funny.
  11. I had that happen once or twice...years ago -- I dreamt that I was in Disney World, and sure enough woke up -- crap. I guess that recurring dream had a big impact on me -- now I live on Disney property, one stop light away from the 'strip'. Go figure.
  12. Yah, I think I've gotten two. The first one was when I was 17. Speeding on the way to school (ticketed in a school zone). It wasn't too bad. The second was in Te-has. I only got caught in the low 90's but I was doing 160 ish a few hours before I got caught. Jose "I am very lucky at times" Eber
  13. I think a Ford Explorer on a 'track' like the original movie would be the bomb. That would just totally freak me out -- and have life size dinosaurs (not just heads -- great picture Robb btw) go after you. They are coming out with JP IV I hear -- I'm just not sure they have the land for an attraction like that (the way I would envision it). I'd want the whole experience like the movie, the first part, it was in a Ford right? Or M Class? -- the jeep thing would be cool too -- but half a billion would probably be needed lol for something like that. Yah, it would be cool if in the ride it would be raining the whole time, let's say its an indoor attraction, at night and you are driving around on these automated Ford Explorers, the roof 'caves in' with the dinosaur. Soooo much could be done. Elissa, your idea would be amazing. Dang, I have to see these movies again.
  14. Few, thanks for talking about how often you visit a park. Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one: at Grand Floridian and Contemporary the guards know me a little too well. Is it bad when you know when they've hired on a new monorail driver? Jose "I'm a WDW-aholic" Eber
  15. Again, great job -- here's what I'm talking about in terms of compression. I got the video down to 17mb:
  16. Speaking of trial and error -- if you want to bring down your file size but not the quality, try fooling with MPEG4. I've gotten some very interesting results. Also this week (or next) Apple will introduce a new version of Quicktime. The codec to look for is H264. Its part of the MPEG 4 standard -- its supposed to be up to 4x better than standard MPEG 4 - PLUS its scalable. As for me, I don't mind high bandwidth sizes at all -- as long as they don't waste megabites (i.e. uncompressed, or poorly compressed). Nice video, I LOVE that you've got it in good quality. Nice and professional. I dare you to get an HDV camcorder lol. Those are so sweet! I want one.
  17. To bring in more revenue, Disney has a new sponsor with Kellogg. The parks will be minimally affected with sign-age.
  18. After they tore down the guard shack at the Fort Wilderness entrance last year, I realized why they might have had it there in the first place. You see -- (I guess Disney is getting lazy). but you can now park for free at MK because of there being no guard gate or stop at the Fort Wilderness Entrance. If you take the Epcot exit off the 4 (536) and take the first exit (imagine you are heading to Port Orleans) and head for the golf courses by FW. You can keep on going loop around the end of the parking lot, and just as you pass Hess, they give you an opportunity to turn around and Park and MK AFTER the gates. Free parking at MK everyone! (isn't that awful? -- disney doesn't protect its $9 parking fee!) Jose
  19. I trade options to make a buck. upside: hardly have to work -- maybe a few minutes a week, just looking at how I'm doing downside: hmmm, I should be doing more with it, but I'm lazy (see upside). Jose
  20. I think Pet Shop Boys are cool, and I'm married. It hardly makes me gay. I like the album 'very' and two songs from their Release bonus disk. They are right behind Ozzy Osbourne and Air in my most played list in iTunes. Since when did music choice make you gay? lol. I thought homosexuality was about 'sex' not what kind of music you listen to! Jose "My 200th Post" Eber
  21. Sounds like fun -- hitting the parks with the new attractions.
  22. Luck has a lot to do with it. I found in fact there was a lot more flexibility (chance to get on the ride) for testing over previews/soft opening. A) no one knew about it B) BIG blocks of time with few people in line. But I think that stuff changes based on attraction -- two weeks before official opening date, one is well beyond testing phase. So hard to tell. Elissa's advice isn't bad advice at all -- getting to know cast members -- I got ticket's to DCA's TOT for that. But two weeks might be too early for AP'ers. I got on TOT April 26th last year (about 1.5 weeks ahead), and now for Soarin here, its next weekend for APer's (almost two weeks ahead). Luck.
  23. I like that...across the street there is a jail...but its one of the best place in Orange County (no one calls it 'the o.c.') to go? You honestly think Blocks' D&B is better than D&B Spectrum? Orange County extends allll the way down to San Diego County. There are amazing places to visit as you keep on driving down the 5. Capistrano rocks, so does Carlsbad. Mission Viejo is cool. Newport Beach, Newport Coast etc. I guess we have to determine how you define 'nightlife'. Hanging around a mall or clubbing Newport/Balboa Style. My sort of 'o.c.' is the 'arrested development' orange county, REAL, ACTUAL shots of orange county, not the malibu they feature on 'the o.c.' on FOX. (can you tell I don't like 'the o.c. show' or when Orange County is referred to as 'the o.c.') el oh el
  24. The original, unedited can be found here
