  1. This thing is looking better and better with every update, definately up there with Renegade for having some twisted first drops!
  2. Hehehe, "Carnival Of Carnage is also the name of the "Insane Clown Posse"s first album, and they also make references to a dark carnival. My friends who are into these guys are gonne be psyched to have a similar looking event based on the weird music they like.
  3. I think the cobra roll looks about right, it can't be any larger than the vertical loop if the train is to make it through.
  4. Here's another photo from the same ride, is that him? You have some good eyes my friend!
  5. If you went on a weekday you would have had a much better time, 3 coaster rides is about typical for a Six Flags park on a Saturday without a qbot.
  6. It was suggested talks of the DCA $1 Billion overhaul continue here. This image points out all of the strong running rumors for DCA right now as well as the current in-progress projects. http://www.screamscape.com/html/dca_-_2010_0.htm
  7. I never knew The Old Mill had such good scenery. I can't believe the park will be getting rid of two of the dark rides according to another TR I read on this park. Is this true?
  8. Fire, it's the single most unique B&M inverted coaster I've ever been on.
  9. I agree the price is extemely reasonable for a flawlessly WORKING, very realistic B&M model. compare this to Faller's HO models and the price is amazingly low. Some of Faller's roundabout's come close to $200 US.
  10. Nothing wrong with progress, if they go through with the $1.5 billion overhaul it would increase tourism and offer us some new modern day rides. In my opinion, the park went through its hey-days phase when it was... well... in its hey-days.
  11. When I visited a few years ago the employees were outstanding, another thing I remember about the park is when you guys opened the Crocodile ride, I was there on the first day it opened and my picture was taken and its on that years brochure, lol.
  12. ^ That's a good shot, I love how the drop goes right under the lift after that turnaround.
  13. Very interesting, sucks they took it out though... Come to think of it it sucks they got rid of Alien Encounter too, I hate Stitch...
  14. ^ And they have a KMG Experience! Looks pretty good, thanks for the photos.
  15. Depeche Mode is great, I love their version of "route 66" and that song "Precious". It's funny, my hotel was right in that same area where the Grove is only a couple weeks ago and I remember saying how nice it looked, as does most of Anaheim. Looks like the Curse of Route 5 is still going strong, I'm going to be living right off the 91 freeway in less than a month so I have to get used to this Cali traffic.
  16. Oh I remember reading abou thtat ghost house, if you have any photos of that in particular I'd really like to see them, I'm a huge fan of all dark rides and walkthroughs if you can't tell and Asia in general has tons of them.
  17. I'd imagine all the parks have been double checking their cables, perhaps the tilting car just needed its cable replaced as a precaution.
  18. I remember being a kid and ALWAYS coming up with a plan if myself or my littl ebrother were seperated when we went to SFNE, we'd always meet at the gazebo on Main St. Now I work with kids in human services and when we take them to SFNE the idea is to just never let them leave your eyesight. I know most deprtment stores have a CODE ADAM system in place to recover lost kids but with a place as large as a theme park you can't just shut everything down and cut off all exits, it just doesn't work for the other thousands of people walking the park. I agree the sytsem could be a little better but take some responsibility and don't just blame the park...
  19. I completely agree with Pianojahn, it only took one ACE event at SFMM when Tatsu first opened to make me realize I was embarrassed to deal with all the whiners and haters. I never renewed my membership, it sucks because a few weirdos ruin the reputation of these clubs. Starliner looks awesome in its new paint, thank you for the photos.
  20. LI Adventureland is a nice little park, I forgot how much it's changed since last time I visited. They used to have a VERY rare Mondial Supernova called "Surfdance" and a Mondial Top Scan where the Huss Frisbee is right now. When I went a few years ago I remember the park had to wait until every seat ont he Top Scan was occupied before they ran the ride which could mean waits of up to half an hour between cycles especially when the park is first opening. The ride cycle was very long and intense as it was the only one in America to be manually operated, it's a shame they got rid of it since the accident which killed a rider. You aren't missing much with the dark ride, it looked alot better on the outside than it actually is on the inside. I'm surprised at the must have 2 people to ride rule... but then again with the top scan policy I really shouldn't be. Nice TR!
  21. Ah, I see so it doesn't quite invert you but gets close at some points, I really like the crooked arrow, makes it very mysterious looking. I'd hope these show up in the states someday!
  22. Wait in line for Calico Mine Ride and act like you "found" the ring in the waterfalls, that would be some points for creativity! "Hey what's that over there..." I'm glad to hear your condition is improving and I wish you the best of luck. Let us know how it goes with the lady!
  23. Wow, and to think I'd never heard of Pharoa's Fury, it looks pretty good with the fire effects!
  24. That ride is just bizarre and I still don't get the movements, hopefully I get to ride one someday and find out for myself.
  25. I just finally checked out this recreation today and I'm very impressed with the accuracy!
