ECZenith replied to speedracer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's a very interesting design, can't wait to see it all built up. Looks like something out of RCT! -
Walt Disney Studio's Tower Of Terror preview!
ECZenith replied to Simba's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Always good to see another Tower of Terror open up at a disney park. I like the fact that people can walk around all sides of the building to see all the detail. -
Question about Universal Studios Hollywood crowds
ECZenith replied to lapseofreason's topic in Ask Alvey
I go to the park alot and I can tell you, especially on a weekday it won't be that busy. The longest lines are typically for Mummy and Jurassic Park, since it's colder JP hasn't been too popular and I haven't seen the Mummy's line more than 20 minutes in the winter. Have fun! -
I took some photos at Disneyland this week showing the Christmas tree, the snowed-out castle and just some random shots of the park in general. I'll take some pictures at DCA later this week. The monorail sporting its Year Of A Million Dreams overlay, within a few weeks the new Mark VII monorails should be arriving from Europe. Partners Only a 20 minute wait today Matterhorn Bobsleds are down for a quick refurb this week, maybe the new cars? Mad Tea Party is always photogenic Mark Twain Splash Mountain didn't have much of a wait and it was pretty hot... Streetcars were out today Where I report to work every day It's A Small World also gets the holiday treatment with a new soundtrack and 50,000 lights! The finale scene An Indy EMV Indiana Jones Adventure Haunted Mansion Holiday stays in season long after Halloween, I love this version The Columbia And at night The tree in the daytime BTMRR Alice in Wonderland opened up last week after a refurbishment. Thanks for checking out the photos, DCA Holiday coming soon. A shot of the castle in the daytime all snowed out for the holidays

Photo TR: Disneyland 11/10
ECZenith replied to GMAN962's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Awe, I thought the castle looked really nice but everyone has their own opinion I guess. I see you caught the madness of the post-fireworks rush on film. I've been working a few guest control shifts this week and its just crazy how many people we move out of the park as soon as the fireworks end! I think they did a really good job decorating the park for the holidays, the snow effect and the giant christmas tree are awesome. Nice TR and some really nice photos. -
Original Intamin Rollercoaster Car to sell
ECZenith replied to Balmera's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's definately an old Indy car back when they ran with four riders per car. The newer trains also look slightly different with bigger openings on the side. This ought to make a very nice 1.5 ton lawn ornament for someone. -

Awe, youre bringing back memories, I used to visit VA every summer when I lived on the east coast. I'm going to have to come back and check out Sheikra sometime. Nice pics! -
New Matterhorn cars, first peek
ECZenith replied to speedracer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would think it would definately move the queue faster. Almost everyone rides by themselves unless a parent is with a child or is small enough to fit right in front of the person they're with. The CMs running it will also no longer have to ask if the riders are going alone or in pairs saving a little extra time throughout the course of the day. -

That bump in the back of the cars looks just like the WDW Space Mountain cars, I also like the feel of them and I think it will make the ride much more enjoyable no matter what the final design of the outside of the trains look like. -
Six Flags Magic Mountain Announces "X2"
ECZenith replied to Loco's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've seen Viper very busy on weekends with the runoff crowds from X so its cool they added a 4th train. -

Ooo, I love top hats! It's amazing how many good coasters the Scandi area has been getting these days. -

I actually like the way they look, I'll have to go see them for myself tomorrow. I always thought the ride kind of hurt around some of the turns so maybe being secured in place will improve it. -
Nice TR, FYI Disneyland has just put up the Christmas tree this Sunday and it looks great! I'll take some photos this week for you guys.

I've been on The Great Nor Easter many times over the last few years and it's definately the best out of about a dozen SLCs I've ridden. The views the coaster offers and the way the ride is wrapped around so many exisiting structures is amazing. Hopefully many other parks will get these types of restraints for their SLCs because they can actually be really fun rides if they're not beating the hell out of you. -
Six Flags Magic Mountain Announces "X2"
ECZenith replied to Loco's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I really enjoy X and while it's not the smoothest coaster in the world I don't find the ride unbearable. I welcome the additions to the ride and can't wait to see them for myself. I've always hated the pink and yellow scheme so anything will look better IMO. -
Animals at Themeparks
ECZenith replied to premierrider's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If you ride the Disneyland railroad there's little cat houses on to the right of the train tracks in between New Orleans Square station and Toontown Depot, when we walk the tracks we see tons of cats by the Rivers of America, they tend to hide when the trains roll through. I've also seen big evil possums in the woods by the tracks.
