  1. These photos are great, I'm seeing lots of familiar faces and you seemed to have captured the good times permanently. Excellent work, looking forward to seeing the rest of them.
  2. CP isn't allowed to get a dark ride because than they'd be perfectly balanced and that's not fair to all the other parks.
  3. If you take the trolley down to the other end of International Drive from where Sea World is to where the old Skull Kingdom used to be, you can walk over a bridge over the highway and there's a good view of most of IOA and you can see Hulk pretty good from there. We stayed at a Days Inn on Intl Drive and did this walk every day we went to IOA/Universal.
  4. Wow, that perfect 10 and "diving score" theory makes sense. I have a feeling it'll be a dive machine, it's most likely to be a B&M because of the contract for 2 coasters, a dive machine can fit into a relatively small footprint compared to larger B&M coaster types too. A US park other than Busch hasn't built one yet so I'm hoping this is what's happening.
  5. Oh God, those poor people don't know what they're in for!
  6. Maybe they'll squeeze in whatever's left from Geauga. I'm hoping for a big flat ride myself, they've done good by adding Maxair and Skyhawk and I hope they keep it up.
  7. Maybe a dive coaster, they seem to be getting pretty popular these days.
  8. Got a message from Cedar Point via myspace and they sent along the following image with the topic: New for 2008. Looks like they've already started digging for a new ride/attraction for next season. Not much to look at just yet but this is certain to develop. Anyone know what part of the park this is?
  9. It was my AOL name and it just kinda stuck here.
  10. Does Busch have exclusive rights to the water splash on their dive machines by any chance?
  11. Monday night at midnight is the big day. My profile says I live in CA but I'm actually going to become a resident in about 5 days when I arrive. The drive is about 2900 miles from Warren, Rhode Island to Riverside County, California. My dad's going to be coming along with me and flying home from CA. We're going the Northern route which mostly consists of Rte. 80. I was wondering if any of you have driven from the east to west coast and if you could share some tips/advice/stories about what I can expect. Think it can be done in 3 days with 2 people driving? Thank you all
  12. Woahh, don't count your chickens before they hatch! No one knows that it's a traditional megalooper, in fact I would doubt it very much. 11 can mean anything, I'm sticking by the fact that if this is a coaster it would be the park's 11th.
  13. I thought they were putting the last touches on Flying Turns?
  14. ^^ Wow, that's probably the best description of Maverick I've ever seen. I'm curious to know if other parks will build rides of this type with similar layouts or if this was just a one time deal from Intamin.
  15. Yeah, after looking at the footers I agree with Nicole, it's so NOT Dominator.
  16. Yankees, I couldn't see them going for a Maverick type coaster with Storm Runner being so similar with the launch and inversions... but I could definately see them going with Intamin again for a project given the success of SR. The observation I made is that Hersheypark claims to be home to 10 roller coasters, they count Lightning Racer as 1 attraction, so I'm leaning more towards the fact that this would be the 11th roller coaster, which is "better than a perfect 10". An 11 inversion roller coaster would be a massive undertaking, but anything's possible at this point.
  17. Nice report dude, some really good shots in there. Can't wait till next summer where I'll be joining you guys.
  18. Wooo, finally some construction! Looking forward to the finished product.
  19. Even if it is Dominator from GL as many people think... it would easily be the best coaster in the park and Canada's only floorless coaster. I've been on all the US floorless coasters and my favorite of them all is Dominator. I doubt it will be a hypercoaster as they are claiming Canada has never seen anything like it, and with the Beemer footers already poured, it make sme lean even further with the relocation of Dominator, or hopefully an original B&M looper or dive machine. Excited to hear what it turns out to be... even though I am no longer a few hours drive away and 3000 miles from this park.
  20. Awee, I love Kennywood, hope you guys were able to check out Noah's Ark, I was told the line was pretty long for it today.
  21. This looks really good! I wish I had kept on my coaster drawings. I especially love the station theming and the backpacks on the seat, nice touch!
  22. I actually took a POV video from Wizard's Cavern a while ago, wish I knew where it went.
  23. I also vote for Indiana Jones at DLR, well,a tie between that and Spiderman at IOA.
  24. I wish they'd go through with the Disney's villains themed land or Beastly Kingdom to compete, I want a Journey To The Center Of The Earth to show up at one of the American disney parks, that would be some healthy competion against the Potter Land.
  25. Kraken at Sea World Orlando and Kumba at BGA come to mind, I love the tunnels.
