  1. Lol... saved... When are they going to accept the fact that this place just isn't going to make it? Talk about having a little too much faith... It's not going to all of a sudden get popular.
  2. I had every intention of doing a new photo trip report but due to major storms all day it was better off I left the camera in the car. I will repost some photos I took at SFNE in the past that are worth seeing, but unfortunately there are enone from yesterday. My family and I headed to the park even with the warnings of heavy rain all day to find a pretty empty parking lot and no closed rides on the sign at the entrance to the park. Even though it was raining lightly at this point, Superman could be seen climbing the lift in the distance with riders aboard. we headed down there and waited 40 minutes only to have the ride close just as we were next in line due to thunderstorms. We spent the next 2 hours walking around in the thunderstorm riding only the indoor things like Houdini and the Bumper Cars which actually had moderate waits considering they were the only rides open. At about 2 pm the sky cleared up a little and the roller coasters and flat rides began running again. Pandemonium was the first coaster to repoen. We waited only 10 minutes but the line soon filled up to the 45 minute mark. This ride is FAST in the rain and spun like crazy on this visit! Best ride on Pandemonium I've ever got. I realllly love this little coaster. We headed back over to Crackaxle Canyon for spin dry on Tomahawk which is always running an insane program with intense spinning towards the end of the cycle. Next up was Superman where they were now running only the red train. Since many people were leaving the park due to the fact that it was now raining again the line was only about 20 minutes. We sat in the back and there was airtime a-plenty. Another great coaster with insane speed in the rain. Batman was next and actually running two trains even with the dwindling crowds. We walked onto the front seat and took two rides. The rain was starting to pick up but we decided for one last ride on the new for 2006 Splashwater Falls which had the waterfalls off. They mind as well kept them on with the now downpouring rain. This is a fun, bizarre little raft ride with some good spinning. Overall, not too many rides today due to weather, but overall a good day. Below are some older photos worth reposting, sorry I have no new ones to show. Splashwater Falls Thanks for checking out my TR, sorry for the old photos, there's always next time for fresh ones! Pandemonium's layout from above, I love this photo. Pandemonium Overview Cyclone doing some damage to some poor riders... Just pretty... The best inversion to be found at SFNE Awesome little beemer, sorry James! Batman The Dark Knight's area seems to be becoming more of a "Gotham City" themed area with the moving and retheming of the wave swinger. "Crime Wave" looks really good next to Batman now. (not seen in this photo) The beautifully painted Twister top spin. My favorite flat ride in the park, Tomahawk! Catapult opened up towards the end of the day, absolutely insane flat ride that I declined today... Twisted finale The mist was on in the tunnels despite the strong rains, really weird feeling even to this day to hit mist at that speed. If only the skies were this clear today... I really need to retake this photo with my new camera... Here's SROS in all its glory.
  3. Great report! I had never heard of Wonderland until today, what exactly is "Fantastic Voyage?"
  4. Remind me to stay away from the nazi camp that is Medford... can't believe how stupid their police are. Thanks for sticking your neck out for us to get some photos, watch out for warrants!
  5. I love the fact that dark rides are making a comeback, the quality on this one looks great! Thanks for sharing the pictures.
  6. Yay track! Nice find with the photos, I'm assuming these were taken at the manufacturing plant and not the theme park, correct?
  7. I expected this project to take a loooong time but it looks like they're finally getting to the final stages. I gotta make sure I head to Knoebels for the first (and probably last!) time before I pick up and move to Cali in the winter. I can't wait to see this thing running!
  8. OoOoOoooo Your chaos looks way better than the one we used to have at SFNE. I really like the paint schemes on the ride here, the freefall looks awesome with the flames on it.
  9. I sweat they always have the most terrified journalist ride a new coaster. remember the Infusion video?
  10. Friggin' condos for the rich will most likely replace it... The sad fact is these little boardwalk parks don't really stand a chance anymore. I think the only ones that will make it in the long run are Santa Monica Pier, Belmont Park, and Morey's Piers because they do so well.
  11. Must see parks in New England are SFNE, Lake Compounce, and Canobie. SFNE has the awesome SROS, Lake Compounce is famous for its Boulder Dash terrain coaster and Canobie is a charming New England park with a good selection of rides including one of the best haunted house rides outside of a Disney park, have fun!
  12. While I never cared for the Harry Potter stories, its good to see IOA getting some new stuff, I hope they don't mess with dueling Dragons too much though.
  13. I love that photo of Ozark Wildcat! Can't over how cool the trains are, more coasters should have evil eyes on the front of the train. hehe...
  14. I feel the same way about them, and I'll take a log flume any day over a shoot-the-chutes. I think they're really just there to cool off park guests and aren't designed to be much of a thrill. People will wait in line an hour for Shipwreck Falls at SFNE to get basically get drenched with what mind as well be sewer water for less than a minute ride. There is one shoot-the-chutes that I really love though. Let's see more Perilous Plunges! OMFG!
  15. I remember reading about "Fire Mountain" which would have been the centerpiece of Beastly Kingdom. It was to be an inverted coaster that flew in and out of a volcanic dragon's lair. The ride was to feature Disney's largest animatronic, a fire-breathing dragon. I believe since IOA opened Dueling Dragons and AK went with Everest instead, the plans were scrapped. Hopefully they resurface. Beastly Kingdom is really the only way AK will ever get a "journey to the center of the earth".
  16. Nice TR, my friends and I are heading out west on a road trip with Cedar Point and Valleyfair as our main destinations. It'll be my first time seeing Valleyfair, and hearing about Renegade makes me a little more excited every time.
  17. Lots of great new photos of Sierra Sidewinder at Westcoaster! http://westcoaster.net/updates.php?updateCD=053007&page=3
  18. Very nice photos, I hope to head out to the Smokies in the coming years.
  19. I can see myself dumping lots of tickets on the Top Scan, ohh well better star working some overtime so it doesn't hurt so bad. Thanks again.
  20. Wow, that launch looks intense! I love the fact that it launches into a dark tunnel. Sweet!
  21. Thanks for the help Jerry, does being an independent midway mean that the rides are pay-as-you-go? Is there not usually a wristband type of deal where all rides can be accessible for one price? thanks alot for the info!
  22. Thanks to all of you for your help. Looks like I'll have to stay for 2 days if I want to get it all done. I am so excited I finally get to ride a space roller again, yesssss! Anyone know if the midway has any dark rides? I actually really like the portable dark rides at fairs, some of them are pretty decent.
  23. I love reading the first replies after a BonBonLand TR and waiting for the "what the hells" that follow. Great TR, always fun stuff here.
  24. I agree with 2000 the SROSes were just plain WOW when they first opened. It was overwhelming.
