I've been to both and whil eI haven't had the greatets experience at KBF, it's definately better than Great America. Better coasters, some rides with great theming and a decent slection of flat rides. Xcelerator, Silver Bullet and Calico Mine Ride make a visit to Knott's worth it alone.

^ I agree, SOB was a failed experiment and had problems from the get-go. No saving this one... Unless Intamin retracked it with prefab... Then it could go from the worst wooden coaster to the best in a matter of months.

Fitness, it's only a matter of time before Lost Continent is transformed into the Harry Potter themed area. While I'm happy to see they'll be adding the new KUKA flying car ride, I hope they won't change TOO much of the exisitng area as I never really "got" the whole Hary potter thing. I can see them doing an overhaul of Poseidon to be more Harry potterish, wouldn't take much. Only makes sense seeing that Lost Continent is the only island without specific licensing of existing characters and themes. That and the fact that Universal won the HP contract over Disney makes this pretty much dead-on.

Flipdude, they are mostly composed of very fine bendable wire, it's a long process cutting correct lengths and shaping th etrack and supports. A lot of these are unfinished, which is a shame because I'd like to move onto my "California Screamin" model as soon as these are done.

^ Towards the of the commercial they show some footage of a ball coaster and they've edited the colors to be appropriate to Inferno. Thanks for the update, once Inferno goes vertical it won't be long until it's complete.
