  1. It only spins at several parts during the ride... like from the top of the lift/first drop, the raven turns, and the half-half elements. What is it like? It's a really fun ride, just a little rough nowadays... When I go to SFMM I usually only ride it once.
  2. No picture update today, but the rest of the park has been mapped out on paper. Here's a list and description of the themed areas and the major rides they will contain. ARCADIA MIDWAY Classic rides and thrills for the whole family can be found on the Arcadia Midway. Expect lots of color and foliage among the gentle rides to add to the peaceful setting of this area. *Carousel *Antique cars BOARDWALK Carrying mixed nautical themes from sea storms to pirates, the boardwalk will contain many flat rides and several roller coasters aimed at families. *Ghost train *Intamin halfpipe coaster *Indoor Reverchon spinning coaster *Giant wheel *Chance Wipeout ELECTRI CITY Cities are known to have their share of problems... but none have suffered worse than Electri City. Cursed by an electrical phenomenon caused by a faulty nuclear reactor, the city will never be the same. Even the city's rapid transit rail system seems to be malfunctioning these days... *Bolliger & Mabillard floorless coaster *Intamin rocket coaster *Indoor Kuka Robocoaster TIMBER CROSSING From the massive spinning buzzsaw to the log transportation flume, it seems like guests are welcome aboard all of Timber Crossing's rusty old lumber equipment. *GCI Twister coaster *Log flume *S&S combo towers *Huss Giant Frisbee LOST RUINS The recently discovered lost ruins beckon from deep within the mist-filled rainforest. Here, park guests can cool off down a surging waterfall, explore an ancient temple, and even have their very souls taken by voodoo priests. Quite a breathtaking experience... *B&M Inverted coaster *B&M Diving machine *Maurer launched indoor x-car coaster *Huss Jump 2 *Intamin shoot-the-chutes GHOST TOWN Through an abandoned mine shaft lies Ghost Town - where weird happenings have begun to arise. From the mines in the mountains to the shady hotel, lost souls cry out from a massacre which left this town very much dead, but not silent... *Dark ride *B&M Flying coaster *Mine train coaster *Chance revolution *Indoor freefall Look for a huge update in the coming week...
  3. Another Super Paper Mario fan here... I'm on level 5-4... and I am so lost... lol.
  4. Good God, she bent it!
  5. Apollo... while the park may have not added anything major this year, how could you call it crappy? It's definately one of the nicer-looking six flags parks and there's a couple of excellent coasters. Also, while Boomerangs aren't exactly an enthusiasts wet dream, the backwards gimmick always works well with the GP and despite the ear-bleeding roughness, ya gotta admit it looks better than the olddddddd Black Widow shuttle.
  6. I can understand them rebuilding the actual old coaster instead of just building a new one. The cost of materials alone is worthwhile, and the bents are in tact which eliminates ALOT of work in assembling a wooden coaster. Lookin' good, thanks for the update.
  7. LMAO at the upside down Batman signs! Someone should really tell them... Ugh... I can't believe I'll have to walk through that Wiggles World to cut between DC and the other end of the park. It looks like an Australian clown vomited on Tiny Timber Town. Oh well. Cool to see they're getting more park land, hopefully put to good use in seasons to come.
  8. 22 years old, first coaster was Scorpion at BGA.
  9. Very cool! One of my favorite bands and my favorite type of coaster, it gets no better!
  10. I would just give it some time until the weather gets warmer. Not worth the risk if the coasters aren't running.
  11. 4/12/07 I was going to wait until the shopping district and hotels were built, but there's a couple new things worth seeing... *The Rainforest Cafe & Fire & Ice restaurants completed *5 level Parking structure completed (with hundreds of cars!) *In park construction? Oh snap... what is this? Finally some in-park construction. If the rumors are true, this will be the site of a large water ride. Take a look at the recently completed parking structure... very tedious work to get all the details right here. Two new restaurants have opened in the shopping district, The Rainforest Cafe and Fire & Ice: An Improvisational Grill.
  12. Updates for 4/10/07 * "Project Z" completed, currently testing * Parking structure 20% compeleted, Tram stop finished * Several shops added to entry plaza "Project Z" has one twisted finale. Another update will be dropped as soon as the parking structure and shops/hotel have been completed. Thank you for checking it out! After a mist-filled tunnel, surprised riders will find themselves back into the sunlight and upside down through a flatspin. The curve into midcourse brakes drifts over the entry gate to the "Electri City" area of the theme park. An interesting view of the entry plaza. The giant wingover with the new parking structure taking shape in the background. The first drop dives into an underground tunnel before riders are faced with a diving loop. A "Project Z" floorless train begins its descent... A POV shot, the final details have been added to the station as seen on the right. "Project Z" has been completed, all but the name and theming that is... here you can see a train testing. Several shops have sprung up between the parking structure and entrance to theme park, in the same fashion as Downtown Disney or Universal Citywalk. More shops and restaurants are on the way. The tram station is currently in service on Level 2 of the parking structure. A look inside the parking structure, not much to see just yet. AP's Parking Structure has begun construction, the structure will include 5 to 6 levels of parking. Overview of what's going on at Arcadia Point
  13. Thanks for the great photos! (and anew desktop background!) hehe
  14. Good to see some progress on aXis, keep up the good work mang.
  15. Winjas! Awesome photo TR! Talocan looks like it will be themed very nicely... just like EVERYTHING else in the park. Thanks for letting us see some shots of the ride under construction.
  16. Hmm, looks better to me than the junior suspended clones we have here. This thing came out of nowhere!
  17. Eric Smith... I was talking about how in one of the reallllly short construction videos, one of the workers moves his camera to one of the inversions and says: "There's a cool lil' swirl here..."
  18. ^^ It's going to have Euro-Mir style trains and have a twisted layout, unlike a mouse that has lots of "zig zag" turns.
  19. From the first post : "incorporate all previous ideas and mostly new ones into his most extensive theme park project to date" The only thing similar about this coaster to "The Tempest" is the parallel Zero-G roll/Camelback and Giant Batwing elements, the rest of the ride is completely original. Also, this coaster is much larger in size. When I deleted Arcadia Chasm I didn't want to lose this concept for a coaster, I love how the camelback/zero g roll crosses over the park entrance. As you can see, that was just one of the ideas implemented from a previous park without completely cloing the ride. As you can see in this screen, the rides are very much different...
  20. More work has been done on "Project Z"... The human resources/guest services building has been added to the right of the entrance, a new restaurant has been added to the left. That's all for now! The lift hill is complete! The section that crosses over the midway...
  21. Any idea on exactly what kind of flat ride Sidewinder will be? I know it's not a Huss giant frisbee, but still looks pretty fun! Always wanted to try out the Rattler... Have to wait till my west coast move to try it I suppose... ::sigh::
  22. RCT3 stuff like this never ceases to amaze me! I don't know which I like better, this or the DCA Tower Of Terror recreation. Great stuff!
  23. ^ I would guess it has SOMETHING to do with SFMM's infamously ignorant customers. I can't even blame the staff here, as that much poopoo can accumulate in a matter of minutes. Wish I had known about that Wii spot last week, could got my fix! Hehe, thanks for another great update.
  24. Vey entertaining TR, sorry to hear of your snowy misfortunes. Got some cool coasters-in-in-the-snow pics tho!
  25. ^ Could it be the teal B&M track? Hehe...
