  1. Looks even better finished, I like the logos they added to the sides of the trains. Can't wait to try it out myself!
  2. ^^ That really is pathetic... That's like publically announcing you're a moron.
  3. How is Indy like a wild mouse?
  4. ^ Remember the dragon heads on Tatsu's art that everyone was excited about?
  5. I think it looks great the way it is. They've planted some trees in the area and it looks really nice. The coaster itself belnds in very nicely with the rest of the park.
  6. 5/25/07 * LOST RUINS themed area construction begins. * Parts for Bolliger & Mabillard inverted coaster arrive and construction begins. * Intamin shoot-the-chutes complete and testing. I know the pictures are small, but I just wanted to show you what's going on with the park, there will be much more pictures once venom is complete. A teaser photo for what just might be the world's most intense inverted coaster: Venom! Thanks for your interest! Lost River Plunge construction went smoothly and the ride continues to test. The station is still in its beginning stages of construction, but the promotional department seems eager to show off some logos for the new Lost Ruins area! Over the past month, parts have arrived for VENOM, the park's inverted coaster themed to deadly snakes. Lost Ruins will feature, not one... but two B&M coasters! The logo for Venom.
  7. Thank you, I'm actually working on the park right now and will have more B&M goodness headin' your way tonight in this thread.
  8. Wow, that was fast! Gotta give them credit for fixing the problem so quickly!
  9. Looking great! Very impressive structure indeed.
  10. That second Maverick photo in particular was great.
  11. ^^ You're welcome. If I wasn't moving to California in January and scraping every penny I've been earning I would definately make a replica of Griffon and get 3 Griffon trains. Oh well, maybe once I'm all settled in in Riverside County I can start building models again. By the way, while it's confirmed that Alpengeist and Griffon trains will be released and sold at their respective parks... the other rumored trains will be Kumba and Kraken.
  12. Anyone got any new photos? I heard the ride has been testing. I'm very excited about this one!
  13. ^ "Das Kätzchen" (The Kitten) closed in 1984 and was located in Oktoberfest.
  14. Disney will make money no matter what new attractions they add. I agree in that I love coasters with inversions but you have to remember, Disney rides are aimed at families, many of which are turned off by rollercoasters that go upside down. Disneyland Paris has a surprising amount of coaster inversions in it, I agree and I wish we'd see more in the states but you never know, it could happen. I wouldn't count on a Rockin' Roller Coaster to be added to DCA, there's been a rumor floating around that DCA's next coaster would replace Mulholland Madness and be a clone of Disney Studios' "Crush's Coaster", but it's just that a rumor... < I agree that Carland looks pretty cool.
  15. Hehe... booty bay... Lookin' good bro, keep it up!
  16. I wish I had that much talent when I was your age. Seriously... wow. Good stuff man!
  17. Hey all, sorry it's been a while since I've updated. I've been working overtime 60 hrs a week wooooo! I should be working on this project over my next two days off, expect an update. Thanks to all who have been following progress.
  18. I guess I should take it as a compliment that people copy my B&M designs and now my park names. It's all in good fun...
  19. For anyone who builds with the CoasterDyanmix system, there is some exciting news. CD will be releasing static prototypes of particular B&M trains to be sold at their respective theme parks. The only two announced so far are Griffon and Alpengeist, as you can see here: http://coasterdynamix.com/forum.aspx?mode=thread&TopicID=871&page=7 CD will eventually release working trains in the standard, floorless, and 10 across diving style to work on the current track system. A new set featuring the standard train is also in the works! Good stuff!
  20. I have been to both... while I have not ridden Griffon yet, I have ridden SheiKra and will compare both as similar... As far as both parks go... here's my opinion. I prefer BGE over BGA in almost every category except for the fact that BGA (obviously) has GREAT animal habitats and exhibits to check out which I am a huge fan of. BGE has that great, deep in the woods feeling and the theming of the european countries is just beautiful. Both parks have a great trio of B&Ms but I (barely) prefer Apollo to Kumba and I definately like Alpengesit better than Montu. BGA's non B&M coasters don't really do it for me... Gwazi is ridiculously rough and I just don't care for it and Cheetah Chase is just... eww... BGE has a couple of amazing Arrow coasters that are completely unique. When it comes to water rides, I feel BGE's are FAR better themed but I definately like BGA's log flume better. The real kicker is that BGE has a dark ride, which I am a huge fan of, and BGA does not. With Spidey so close to BGA I really don't blame them but a dark ride would balance the park out perfectly. They're both awesome parks, some of the best, but yeah... to answer your question I love BGA, but I adore BGE.
  21. Great photos, I really love the way the park has been rethemed. Definately a unique Six Flags park.
  22. Impressive photos, I can never get enough of Patriot!
  23. Sorry to get a little ot here... but I'm wondering if anyone planning on visiting BGE could possibly pick me up a Griffon pin from the gift shop and possibly send it over? It's the only way I'll get to add it to my collection seeing how my VA trip got cancelled. If you can help please send me a PM. Thanks! Lovin' the pics man!
