  1. They should build some houses out of the Villian instead of shredding it. Or some nice benches. Nah.. it IS a decent ride.. at least it used to be. I rode it in May this year and it was like being in a car wreck.. every couple of seconds. I was amazed how bad it was! I was amazed how bad every coaster at GL was running! X-Flight was hands down the best ride there which is somewhat worrying. Oh well.. the only reason we went was to raise my girlfriends count. She's new to the coaster world and it was nice to show her how spoiled we are by having Kennywood and Hersheypark as homeparks. Should've driven the extra hour to Cedar Point!
  2. Well for everyone who likes Seuss Landing around Christmas you'll have to go elsewhere for decorations this year. So far this year the shops are decorated and there is Christmas music playing, there's no sign of anything more being done. Grinchmas is now "Meet the Grinch" with no show. So unless Universal is planning on setting up everything extremely late this year it's not happening. Weak. Eric - who suffers in Seuss Landing daily
  3. LOL.. That's awesome. I dont think Citywalk on my side of the country had anything like that. I'm still thinking about getting a Wii.. HMmmm.. We need some reviews! Eric
  4. There have been so many rumors over the past few years.. I wish something would have come from them. When I was working at Dragons two years ago there were survey balloons all over Jurassic Park. Two years later.. nada.. Sigh.. Aside from the LC/JP and Ripsaw areas.. there is a place sort of behind Cat and One Fish, Two Fish that would be big enough for a Grinch area. I think a whole "Grinches Lair" area maybe with a small spinning coaster and a meet and greet area would be awesome. Oh well.. Maybe Animal Kingdom's attendance explosion this year and Universal's attendence dropping will force the company to take a "spend money to make money" approach in the next couple years. Eric
  5. Yeah working at the park there I'd say there really is no way of fitting a new island anywhere. The park is pretty much landlocked on two sides by roads, and the other two by USF and Citywalk. There's actually a few really cool maps around Universal (back of house) that show the whole property and future expansion areas are labeled on them. But they are all only large enough for one or two rides.. which hopefully we'll see put to use SOMETIME! Maybe the article was talking about the huge plot of land next to Universal and reaching out to I-4 which I heard they sold a few years ago Hope thats not true... it's still sitting there undeveloped with a blank Universal'ish direction sign and road access so maybe it wasnt sold.
  6. Great pictures! Some of the leaves are amazing! I miss having fall.. stupid FL.. I don't think I've ever had a bad time at PKD. How was Grizzly running? That bad?
  7. Man I miss the Smashing Pumpkins.. Billy Corgan looks weird with hair..
  8. Sticking with the nightmare before Christmas theme.. And of course Jake had to help out by eating some of the pumpkin. Ok.. so my girlfriend actually carved it.. but hey.. mine always suck.
  9. Amazing pictures! That either has crazy megapixel'age or an incredible zoom.. plus the colors are really vivid.. especially the reds. Oh yeah.. Great TR! Eric
  10. Haha I heard this on some radio show last week.. My family owns a funeral home in PA and the crematory that we take people to has had some similar incidents.. that's so sad that a person can start a grease fire!
  11. BGT is a huge park compared to USF and they are probably squeezing in the same amount of people! Plus like was mentioned earlier the houses at HHNs are all close to each other.. on one side you have Bill and Ted, the ghetto tent houses, and Dungeon.. and then the soundstage houses all massed together on the other side. I just dont think USF.. or even IOA alone are large enough for the amount of people they are putting in. I'll be surprised if next year they dont have at least half of the other park open for people to go and get away from the craziness. Even if they dont have any houses or scare zones. (then staffing is a whole new issue to deal with) As far as alcohol goes.. Alcohol = big bucks. Unfortunately that's the bottom line. Eric
  12. That's the first I heard of that too. Probably a result of HHN and alcohol Im sure... who knows. However, I have a lot of friends that work every night at Horror Nights and I haven't heard any stories other than the usual fights and stupid situtations. Definately nothing about scareactors getting beaten down. They have started opening Marvel at IOA to try and spread out the crowds a little bit. But yeah.. avoid peak nights.. Eric
  13. Great TR! Everyone on here has to remember that I work at the Seuss Trolley Train Ride so ask if Eric is working! I feel bad enough watching normal people wait 30 minutes to ride.. so of course I'd never let any TPR'er wait in line. Great pictures! Eric
  14. I thought Heroes was AMAZING. I rarely like a show from the start but I'm already addicted. Im really interested to see where it's going. It was really frickin' nasty too! When I heard the garbage disposal when the girl was in the kitchen I was like.. please no.. Plus from a video production nerds point of view.. Heroes is shot more like a movie then a television drama which I really like. Too bad nothing comes close to 24 I dont know what to think about Jericho either.. I'll give it a few episodes. The acting and story seem really bland so far. Eric
  15. Nice! Turner Field looks like a good park to watch a game in. I'm an Orioles fan too.. yeah.. WE SUCK! In fact.. the Orioles have the most consecutive losing seasons.. the only team with more is the Pirates! Next year though.. since the O's have some more cash to throw around at players that will go.. "No way in hell I'm going to Baltimore!" and then we'll end up with more overpaid crappy players. Speaking of the Pirates.. I worked as an usher at PNC Park this spring before I moved to Florida. PNC is an AMAZING park. I miss it. Oriole Park is starting to show its age and needs to be updated really bad with new video screens and scoreboards. The little light bulbs aren't cool anymore
  16. Nothing beats motion blurred coaster shots with lights.. Great pictures!!
  17. That looks awesome! I'm really amazed with GCI over the past few years. I'm glad they are continuing to roll out great coasters. The first drop looks amazing and the layout looks really fun. I rode Gwazi last weekend.. it was actually running decently.. and 2 trains on 2 sides! Although they weren't dueling. Was a little rough, but I've been on WORSE.. so it redeemed itself a little from past trips. There's always the rumor that Hersheypark is going to add Millenium Flyer's to Wildcat. I wish they would so we can see if it really makes that big of a difference. The Wildcat at night is still an amazing top 3 wooden coaster in my book... now if it was smoother and ran that insanely. That'd be sweet. I hope that Cedar Fair is getting a lesson from GCI on long term wooden coaster maintanance. Eric
  18. $1000 a piece? Weak! Haha.. and yeah.. I'd never ride the Cyclone again either. Scariest coaster I've ever been on.
  19. What kind of demographics is Sony targeting? Rich 16-30 year olds that still live at home and have no rent/mortgage, car or insurance payments and parents give them gas money and pay for college? The only way I'll end up getting a PS3 is through theft.. and even then I wont want to pay $60-$70 for a game... so that means I'll have to find more people/businesses to steal from.. and I'm not really a thief and have no desire to be, so I'll just end up half assing the break in's and end up in jail anyways watching women's tennis with the other inmates. So.. I'll either buy a new PC when mine cant handle games.. or an Xbox 360. The Wii looks cool, but freaks me out. Im hoping that they'll make normal games because I think there will be a lot of awkward silence watching people thrashing around in the air.. Eric
  20. How much is 3,000,000 divided by the number of TPR members? I'd throw in $20..
  21. At Dragons they are redoing the express line so it wont just crash into the normal line before the Dungeon anymore. Apparently its taking them forever to get that done. Just on a random note.. Did you know Universal has a new Annual Pass out called the Premier Pass and it gets you unlimited Express Access after 4pm, bottled water, parking, and special event tickets (among some other stuff).. pretty cool. Eric
  22. Yeah it was definately you.. you were talking to some supervisor looking person for awhile, then I told you I was jealous that you've been on Voyage.. amazing how people with random coaster shirts stick in your brain.
  23. Hey.. I remember talking to a guy in a Voyage shirt at the Trolley last week.. interesting.. haha. Eric
  24. Haha.. havent gotten around to changing my location yet. That and I'm ashamed to be working at "Seuss Trolley"
  25. I'm a little late on this one.. but I was lying in bed (after hitting snooze for an hour) and the house started to shake and I was wondering what the hell my roommate was doing to shake the whole place! It definately got me out of bed.. but I didnt realize what it was until I got into work at Universal and saw it on the news.. Its crazy! I hope we dont fall into the ocean.. Eric
