  1. Yeah Im thinking that has to be the coaster type if its Intamin.. guess we'll know soon!
  2. I saw this on another site. Looks like a match of track type.. and its Intamin.. and it would fit around the 12.1 price tag if that's really how much they are spending. Tobu Zoo Park
  3. That would explain that! Thanks!
  4. Great pictures! I was there today with my girlfriend! Too bad we didn't run into each other. I'll post a TR tomorrow sometime. Flying Turns looks great though, and it's so close to being done! We went in the Carousel museum and Mr. Knoebel and some other industry people were in there with him. Some lady from Sally and the guy with the pony tail I've seen on TV a few times, and a few other people were talking to him. I tried to eavesdrop but got nothing.. haha. ( I was talking to my friend who works at Hershey tonight and said they will be at Hersheypark tomorrow night too, so I guess it's nothing)..
  5. That thought crossed my mind too.. I don't trust her anymore.. haha. Just kidding! I don't think you can really look at that track and try to determine track type though. However, a 4D would be crazy! Eric "Off to Knoebels!" Geiple
  6. That's a lot of track!! Geez... It sort of looks like a smaller version on Maverick second hill after that. That looks like way more than a 12.1 million coaster tho.. Nice shout out Natalie! That's awesome.
  7. ^^ No Comment. Man.. I forgot what I was going to say now.. got distracted by Star Trek and World of Warcraft..
  8. I have also been waiting for Hersheypark to get a drop tower for YEARS! They are a great affordable non coaster year addition... but.. oh well.
  9. If it wasnt Lebanon I'd be a lot more suspicious.. but who would seriously waste this much time making a fake site if it really doesn't have anything to do with a 2008 attraction? Let alone register and pay for a domain name?
  10. ^^^ she's right. I don't want to know what's bubbling up behind him though...
  11. I just redid an earlier possible layout and came up with this.. I tried to connect some of the lines and came up with this.. if they wanted to do 11 inversions Im sure that I missed some elements and they could do all those dizzying Intamin twist things on the flat section.. but I could be entirely wrong! Maybe the thing on the bottom left is a duel load station? Any thoughts?
  12. It can't be a Top Hat... why would Hershey need two freaking Top Hats!! That'd be nice though! haha.. I'm saying its a vertical lift with a vertical/beyond vertical drop.. and its a Eurofighter.. or Intamins version of one anyways. Hmmmm... I adjusted some contrast to get a little better view.. It looks like vertical lift, first drop, huge airtime hill, cobra roll, and then.. I lose track of it. Lots of hills and the layout looks pretty long.
  13. I doubt its a fake.. who would take so much time to do something like that?! Of course.. why would Hershey take so much time to entertain us!? Someone better email me when they make the announcement to you!
  14. That looks awesome! Very detailed. I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses! Good job!
  15. ^ you should probably lock your doors tonight.. haha.. just as a precaution.
  16. I don't work until 2 today so here's my new take on this project! ( I wish! ) This would definitely stop traffic on Hersheypark Drive.
  17. I can see something like that if there's plans for a second installation within a few years of each other. Who knows. I was just wondering if anyone had anything solid on some kind of deal that doesn't involve coaster forum talk! Anyways back on topic: Personally I hope we see some Intamin track on site soon! Has anyone been up there lately and checked it out? Eric
  18. Where's everyone come up with the whole "coaster deal" ideas?! New ride types aside (like.. Sheikra and Griffon.. and Universal with RoboCoasters.) I dont think that Hershey has any sort of deal with B&M since it's been 10 years since their last installation at Hershey! That'd be one hell of a loose contract! Im completely lost with the whole Nantimi thing though! I had no idea how elaborate the website was getting!
  19. Maybe the 10 month thing is just a different way of saying "new for 2008".. or it could also be playing off the number 10, or it could be opening in 10 months because it's a waterpark addition. Who knows.. I'm still saying medium sized steel coaster.
  20. Go Milton Hershey!! I'm happy that Knoebels and the Phoenix are getting some respect.. Once again Dragons is ranked way better than the Hulk (the most overrated coaster ever).. I'm just happy about that because having worked at Dragons, we are always in the shadow of the Hulk... which has gotten rough and has always had a really boring 2nd half. The thing that popped out the most is El Toro is only one position better than Lightning Racer! Dont get me wrong.. Lightning Racer is a fun (and pretty much forceless ride), and El Toro is always being called at least a top 5 coaster.
  21. Drivers in PA tend to drive better than MOST states. If you see that the left lane is closing in a mile you should move to the right lane so that traffic doesn't come to a stand still because all of the @$$ holes want to save two seconds of driving time by cutting off everyone! I'll watch the people who are waiting for the last moment and typically they are from Maryland or New Jersey... I lived in FL for a few years and they suck at being respectful drivers.
  22. Hmmm.. maybe the lift and drop will be on the side of the park where the water slides are and then some turns and hills will be over CRR's, maybe even have some interactive water parts there too.
  23. Rerideability.. Hmm.. I think its a word! At least in our world. I havent been on Griffon yet, but I agree think that Sheikra, which I think is a decent ride, is missing something that makes it a "WOW" ride. I dont know if that's length or lack or elements or what... I dont think that this is going to be the huge breakthrough ride that everyone thinks it will be. Here's a quote from an interview with the CEO of Hersheypark/HERCO: "We don't want to take it to the point where we're trying to be the tallest, fastest, the extreme edge of the way some parks have gone. We've always been about families, and so building a 200-foot roller coaster that is a plunge roller coaster would not be something that we would want to consider" Of course he could be telling us what is next right there too?!
  24. Yeah that's true Derek.. the LSM's and theming cost a few million and even a similar ride with a shorter layout would be perfect for Hershey. I wonder what an Intamin vertical lift and the train design for that would look like. Hmmmm...
