The "Preview" Thread
AlmereStars replied to DBru's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Since TPR is going more and more with RCT2, I started a park to show everyone what you can do with RCT3. I'll be posting the park when its finished, but you'll have to do with a preview till then. Preview picture -
Reynold's Park [RCT3]
AlmereStars replied to KI Kidd's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Looks good so far!~some things I would suggest: you can remove the railings of an attraction in the attraction menu. If you do that, you can use the railing from dasmatze at your attractions as well. I'd also suggest more pathcovers, You use it at the spiral slide. but the rest of the park has a generic path. With pathcover you can do a lot more with your paths (make it diagonal etc.) good luck!! -
I Think this will be a big step towards having a game-community that is really rocking! Since I haven't been posting my creations lately, its great to see that ALL the parks/coasters that have been uploaded are now up there to grab. I'm from the Steffen_dk/Dbru/KPWoCkAxX (and many more) era, that all posted great stuff like 2 years ago. Great to see all those things again! Right now, there are some NL coasters downloading to see if I find any bugs.. if so, i'll post it here off course!

I already love it for the fact that you have CM Punk as your picture Uhm its not a bad start, I would mix up the roofs a little bit. Give it multiple levels, play with it a little. that way it won't be too flat or "simple" and with the right details it would look good Though its really not a bad start, your use of the paths (different colours, texture etc.) is actually pretty good

Lethal Weapon..! Now that was one awesome coaster. That last inversion had some hangtime, which I wasn't used to back in those days. Loved it! -
Woow this place changed a lot!!! I used to go there with school. 10+ years ago or something. Is the maze (near the tower) still there?? I owned that maze! Its really weird that they have to pack all the attractions in such a small place, it has a lot of "empty" space surrounding it. Or is that also part of De Veluwe (national park)?? Aah well, thanks a lot hanno!

News: Two New Maure Sohne Coasters
AlmereStars replied to exmouse's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think its great! I've been on Formule X several times and it really is a fun coaster! I hope a lot of "small" parks will get on of these.. although it is better to have different lay-outs. I"m not always a fan of cloning the hell out of a coaster. It takes the uniqueness out of it -

@BelgianGuy: There is a catwalk on the edge of the lifthill. But because of the rockset I used, it isn't showing up everywhere. I've added some plants on the rocks and coloured some of them. Hope it looks better, I agree that it looks kind of flat. @mcjaco : Added a catwalk along the brake run (the BR is at the end of the ride). Update #7 | Back in the days We start with an updated picture of Falling Rock. But this update is all about Hollandia. An Water Ride. Themed to the old days of my native country: Holland! In the old days our flag wasn't Red-White and blue, but orange-white and blue. Still the reason why our national colour is Orange Qeue Overview of the qeue and exit path. First time ever for me, I tried to theme up the inside of a station. Could add a lot of stuff, but its not that bad for a first. In front of the ride you'll find the main street, with some shopes themed to the attraction. First drop, a small one.. with an acceptable amount of water for Dan Then the Big drop! when you hit the water and slow down. Some Geisers are going off, making it feel like you are being attacked by canons An overview of the ride with main street/qeue and the ride itself. Thats it for this update.. I'll probably do a random picture update next. With all the attractions we have covered so far. -
Its not about winning an event, its about the attention towards an event where Canada isn't considered a favorite. Just look at the olympics official site. When Canada wins a medal, its being prompted on the fron page with a picture and everything. It also stays there for a couple of days, while others sports are just noted in the Latest News list. Although I don't really think its that big of a deal, I thought it was pretty interesting pitch from the Journalist. I don't think its weird that canada focuss much on Ice Hockey (or other sports their good at). Canada want to show the world what they can do. China did the same at the summer Olympics, and Russia will do the same in 4 years. What I really think is weird though, is that the medals are presented to the athletes in an indoor arena, sometimes the next evening. I know this has been going on for some Olympics now. But its weird, lots of athletes aren't that thrilled anymore and everyone who bought a ticket to the event dont get to see the athlete holding the medal?

Well the olympics are pretty much over for the Dutch. Theres one small final (for bronze medal) in speed skating. But that would be the last event we participate in. It has been a really weird Olympics. First the hype of Sven Kramer at the 5.000 meters Speed Skating, which he won. But thats been over shadowed by his (or more of his coach) mistake during the 10.000 meters, where he would have won gold but switched to the wrong lane. Other speed skaters exceeded themeself (Mark Tuitert with a gold medal, Anette Gerritsen with silver only 0.02 seconds away from gold.. btw canadian cheat!). Ireen Wust with another gold medal. Then the bobsleigh team wich didn't appear during the event because the stearman couldn't handle the track, forcing the entire team to withdraw. Really weird choice, at least try it! Now 3 other man lived up to the event, just to never participate. And yesterday we won Gold (!) during the Snowboard Giant Slalom for women. That is sooo cool! Holland doesn't have mountains, we don't have snow (at least not on regular basis) and yet we win a snowboard event I think we did good with these medals (And maybe another bronze) G: 4 S: 1 B: 7 This afternoon there was a interesting part on the broadcast channel, about the Canadian. A lot of countries feel they are a bit egotistical, especially the british. All the sports that Canadian athletes are good at are really highlighted, while the other sports are more concidered an "extra". The journalist put it like this: Its like Canada invited everyone for their own birthday party and its all about how Canada will win Ice Hockey...

Thank you! I geuss its all brown, because I wanted it too look like wooden buildings. I'll try different colours and more stone walls in the next things Update #6 | Watch out for Falling Rock Whats that in the distance?? Uhm a warning sign telling me to watch out for falling rock? Geuss I better wear a helmet! Its the mine look-a-like contest winning coaster! thats actually not a mine coaster, yet it still kinda is.. uhm confusing? aah well the theming is cliffs, falling rock and its all family orientated Are you ready?? (don't forget to watch out for rocks, I don't want to end this way) Probably the fastest lift hill ever... or not.. First bit is not going that fast.. got a great view over the woods and the rest of the park Than you become a falling rock yourself and the train goes trough the woods, taking the tunnel a long the way helix thingy, the turnaround over the road where you can wave to all the non-visitors is between this and the previous pictures. But I've already show you that. Take the tunnel! Last shot from up close (look at the great ingame expresion on the kids face) I wanted you to show these pictures so you could see most of the layout a bit better... but I forgot to put the second picture upside down, so look at 1 picture. Then push CTRL + ALT and hit the up arrow-key and look at the other picture. (do the same with the down arrow-key after that to let your screen be normal like us again, shame this doesn't work anymore with Windows 7) This is the update for now, next time no wood (not much at least) and lots of water! -

Aaah oke that make sense:) Then I think this update is just for you guys.. cause well yeah.. lots of vines and bushes and trees Update #4 | A birds point of view !! lots of pictures !! Moving along the park we conquer our first rollercoaster!!! Its the biggest coaster in the park. The design is inspired by Robin Hood @ Walibi World, build by Vekoma. The name is Eagles Eye and rolls on with 2 trains, each carrying 24 passengers. Hope you like it! We start with another logo The lay-out Joining the qeue People are waiting to ride this woody There we go For all you big lift hill nerds First drop, pic taken from the qeue Another lay-out shot ... uuh.. yeah.. caption: blank... Brake run and waiting to go back to the station Back of the station.. its actually pretty open Station building Don't forget to buy your onride photo! -
Wooow you got to be kidding me.. A national coming out day?? thats a first.. I don't think we have something like that over here in Holland! Thats a really weird thing.. Why pick a day to come out of the closet? Allthough I think it is difficult, you can do it everyday.. I am really into girls, but I do have some gay friends, so i'm kinda used to it (if its something to get used to?). What I find hard to believe is that religions are against this kind of relationships. Why? Isn't a religion suppose to help people, ALL people? I Think a religion looses its power when there is nothing to believe in... I also think that gaynmarriage should be allowed everywhere on this planet. I'm happy that I live in the netherlands, where it is possible. But even here there are so called Gayattacks. People who attack gays... I'm happy for the people who are open about there sexual Orientation, but sadly there are lots of people who are depressed because they think they won't be accepted..
