Best Re-ride Roller Coasters
WFChris replied to AviatorCoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm gonna be a total groupie here and go with Terminator at SFMM. Yes, we just had our ERT, and yes, I'm jumping on the bandwagon. The ride is pure *FUN* and doesn't get you sick...unless your that guy that spewed all over row 6 at the beginning of our ERT. Chris. -
^ LOL, yup! You are definitely making Hershey sound like the better park! Chris

TPR's Termination Day! Sunday, June 28th, 2009
WFChris replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Regarding the restraints, I do recall being stapled a few times. However, the ride seemed to do a good job of doing that on its own anyway, so I really didn't care!!! Chris. -
It may have just been me, but there were some pretty lazy crews on Termination Day at SFMM. Not on Terminator, but other rides. Among what I noticed: Viper: 3 train stacking, consistently. Bizarre because Viper usually has outstanding capacity. (11am ish) Scream: 2 train stacking, consistently. 2 employees working, 4 employees just hanging out. (9pm ish) Batman The Ride: 1 train operation, 1 dispatch about every 10 minutes. The gentleman checking restraints on the right side of the train actually had a soda cup in his hand the whole time. This one also had 6 employees and only two that seemed to be doing anything. (930pm ish) Other than that, the crews were great!!! Chris.

Fantastic trip reports, and oh, everybody out there, Chuck is right about the 'Gateways to Yosemite.' There are more gateways to the park than waterfalls in it. I should know. (see location LoL. Well, ex location anyways). You missed Lee Vining and Groveland. And Mariposa. And Oakhurst. Chris.

TPR's Termination Day! Sunday, June 28th, 2009
WFChris replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I had a great time at this event, as expected with TPR events. This was my friends first event and he said it was his favorite day that he has ever had at the park. SFMM did a great job handling the evening ERT, and having the last ride of the night in the front row was just icing on the cake. It's late, I'll have much more to type later. Just wanted to throw in my thanks to EVERYBODY for a great day!!! How many people can say they had an AWESOME day when the temperature hit like, 150 degrees!!! Chris. -

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
WFChris replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Guys, I think this thread is intended to display 'weird' things the GP says. Not just common factual problems. It has once again turned into one of those 'WOW this GP person was off like 8 miles an hour, what an idiot' threads. 'It's a heartline spin, not a corkscrew you idiot!' Come on, these aren't weird comments. Let's try to get this back to it's original intentions and not some 'I'm a coaster dork and you are stupid' thread. Just my thoughts. Chris. -

Fun photo TR!!! I will enjoy reading the rest of this one Chris. -
^ That's exactly what I am saying probably wont happen. It seems like almost every other year there is some 'Magic Mountain is closing' scare that sweeps over the greater Los Angeles area, and everybody goes for that 'one more trip.' It has happened too often, and I doubt that the GP will really react to the bankruptcy situation. I'm sure by now, they (we) all know that SFMM will get through it and remain open. Chris.

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

Please don't let this be as offensive as it sounds. Don't compare naked with gay. Not fair. Why does it always come back to gay people? Chris. -

Some ski resorts have this technology, I have to say, it really helps plan out the day! At the top and bottom of every lift, you can plan where you are headed based on the shortest lines. This would definitely be helpful within the park. I dont feel that having a website displaying wait times would be really a necessary move for the parks. All it will really do is cause people NOT to come because they think it will be too busy. Besides, I dont think there is a large enough audience that CARES to check it. Most people plan trips to the parks for weeks, with a bunch of friends. They are not going to cancel the trip. We are really the only ones that drop by because were bored. Aaaand locals too, but once again, I just dont see it being something normal people would check. Chris.
