  1. ^The price of fast lane increased a couple of times last season. That explains the different prices everyone has for last year.
  2. Right now, it's Twister II at Elitch Gardens: But during the summer, it's either Blue Streak or GateKeeper.
  3. Remember... There's another inversion over the entrance that has yet to be built It's going to be even more awesome than it looks now!
  4. This is a recreation that I made of Vortex. I really, really enjoy Arrow loopers even if they are rough so I thought I'd have some fun and remake one of them! Enjoy! Vortex in Game Exchange A recreation of Vortex at Kings Island. 5. ^I'm dying at those. Absolutely hilarious. I think what everyone fails to remember is that this picture doesn't say if the keyhole is completely constructed or not. For all we know, they could just be lining it up to put it into place. The picture is taken from kind of an awkward angle to answer that question.
  6. ^My guess is that they'll get all of the necessary ropes/attachments onto the track piece like normal, then they will "slide" it through the gap you see between the two pieces of the keyhole.
  7. I might just end up doing a Monday then. Thanks, guys! I really appreciate it!!!
  8. Thinking of making a trip to SFMM on a Saturday in early April. What should I expect crowd-wise? Should I pick a different time to go or is that just fine?
  9. ^That actually sounds pretty awesome! I'd love to ride something like that!
  10. I'm not sure where it's at, I believe the parks facebook page, but I remember seeing someone complaining that because they were switching to Coke, more people would get sick because of what it does to your stomach, resulting in a more dirty park with vomit everywhere. And THEN they said something along the lines of: "Don't you know what happens to metal when Coke gets on it?! It eats it away! People are going to be spilling coke all over the coasters and they will become dangerous! I'm not even kidding.
  11. ^Doubtful. Construction would be well under way by now. That also seems like a HUGE investment for this size of park.
  12. Just saw Quidam the other day. Absolutely loved it. Very incredible. I saw Alegria a year or two ago and I enjoyed the music better in that one, but I think Quidam was the overall better show.
  13. I'm not sure if this is completely accurate, but I've been told that B&M has never had a coaster open late. Every single one has been open on time. Is that true? If it is, hopefully GateKeeper will continue that trend!
  14. Never rode it, but I have to say, when I visited Kings Island this year, it was definitely an eye sore. Good riddance!
  15. Height restrictions are generally based on the restraints. Feet must be able to touch the floor. Or the body must be somewhat proportionate to restraints like on inverted coasters (since they don't have floors.)
  16. I thought Wild Eagle wasn't all that forceful, but I found it to be a really nice experience. The ride was beautiful, the trains are humongous, it flows through the elements so nicely, it's an all-around good package. I LOVE straight drops on rides with no floor (inverts and wing coasters) so Wild Eagle's drop was one of my favorites. That said, I'm looking forward to GateKeeper's airtime hill. GateKeeper is going to be a hit for the park no matter what. That's for sure. And I do believe the reason why wingriders won't ever be too forceful is just because of stress on the frame. When you have something that sticks out, like seats on a wing coaster, you can only support it from one side, reducing the amount of forces it can take. I don't know if this is the reason or not, but it's just a thought. Side note about B&M's being forceless lately: Leviathan pulled some strong G's at the bottom of the drop and through that first overbank. If you were in the back seat, you'd get some nice ejector air on the drop. The speed hill after that is pretty nice too. After that, it kind of meanders around, but it shows B&M can still make a stellar ride with nice forces. While we won't see as many forceful coasters like those from the earlier days, I would bet that sometime B&M will make something pretty intense again.
  17. I remember Frontier City saying that the ride had reached the end of its lifespan. So yeah. It's more than likely just gonna be scrapped. Bummer. It's the only real thrill ride they've added in a long time!
  18. I went on a weekday toward the end of May and the park was packed. Full queues at every ride and lines were spilling onto the midway. We got FastLane... Definitely the BEST $35 I've ever spent! It's crazy how crowds can vary from day to day.
  19. Took me over a week to finish. Worked on it several hours a day. Let me know what you think!!! http://www.themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/track.php?id=2833 [youtube2] [/youtube2]27AAA (Millennium Force)-121224162225000.bmp 27AAA (Millennium Force)-121224162241001.bmp 27AAA (Millennium Force)-121224162331002.bmp 27AAA (Millennium Force)-121224162433004.bmp 27AAA (Millennium Force)-121224162625009.bmp 27AAA (Millennium Force)-121224163229001.bmp 27AAA (Millennium Force)-121224163338002.bmp 27AAA (Millennium Force)-121224163440004.bmp
  20. I thought Worlds of Fun was getting Dinosaurs Alive. They've posted pictures of dinos on their facebook...
  21. 2012: Leviathan (Canada's Wonderland) and Black Widow (Kennywood).
