christianscoasters replied to Ed's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wes41190, I do know that the book is fiction. I have heard that Alton Towers is haunted, and I wanted to know the stories about it. Do you not realize this? I'm not that stupid. -

Since B&M, Intamin, and GCI are great coaster builders, which of their roller coasters do you think are the worst? Think about airtime, roughness, ride time, ride ops, safety, and overall experience. Sadly, I'm only 13 and have been on only 1 intamin, no B&M or GCI. The 1 intamin I was on was Halfpipe at SF Elitch Gardens. It was awesome!

Who needs a coaster for 2007
christianscoasters replied to Milkchan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Frontier City Their last roller coaster was The Diamondback, an arrow shuttle loop. They bought it from SF great adventure (the bottom track of lightning loops). They installed it in 1993. I think that they could have added a decent coaster in a 13 year period. I think that in place of the night mare mine (which closed the day i went there and is still closed) should be a launched roller coaster. About the size of Kanonen at Liseberg. Maybe instead of such a small and compact layout, it could go around the park. The place isn't that big. Their last addition is probably their best ride. The ErUPtion. It's an S&S Sky Sling that they added (I think) in 2003. -

I haven't been to SFMM but I have rode an S&S Sky Sling, The ErUPtion at Frontier City in Oklahoma. For such a small park, I thought it was the best ride. The restraints were AWESOME! It would have been better if it wasn't so tight. Anyway, the Sky Sling rides remain my favorite. Did Cedar Point's actually fall? Where can i see more details? -

Oh, that's smart. your restraint is loose, so what do you do? Squirm out of it. ... trust me, this wouldn't have been the ride's fault should something have ahppened. Yeah, it was pretty stupid. The day I was there though, the Mindbender was having problems too. The yellow bar that pushes restraints down were coming loose. I didn't ride it though. -

Tomahawk - Frontier City -- I was the only one on the ride and the ride op didn't check my restraint. The ride started to go without problem, then when we got to the top (upside down) my harness became COMPLETELY unlatched. The only reason why I didn't die diving head first on to metal was because a seatbelt kept the harness back. I tried to poke my body out of one side of the harness to see if it is possible to fall out, so then-believe it or not- the harness became locked with my head still outside of the harness. For the rest of the ride I was in pain. White Water - Kansas State Fair -- After the big drop on this log flume, there is a turn. Most of the logs still had speed when they made the turns, which made the logs tip over. I realized that once the ride had started. The first drop, we had no problem. Then the second, the car tipped, but we pushed against the side. Several people got hurt because of this. -
A new amusement park!

It is unknown if the Chinese Acrobats will perform because very recently, at SF Elitch Gardens, they were performing and a performer fell and died, so it is unknown if they will perform -

Sharp Stops!
christianscoasters replied to haiderodes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Was this before they had the MCBR on so hard? Because I have never had a sharp stop on Mamba. Must have been. It was about 6 or 7 years ago. -

I live about 10 minutes, away from WWW and it isn't going to be as good as it sounds. On the news, they are going to have a church in the theme park. A Church?!?!? In a theme park?!?!? They do want to bring in a wooden coaster by year three, but it's supposed to be fairly small. Their aim is a family park instead of a thrill park. There most thrilling ride would be the flipping action arm. -

The Wildcat at Frontier City stops in less than one second! No kidding. The brake run is about 5 ft. longer than the train. It HURTS! After the brake run, there is a small drop and then a straight track, why not put brakes there, and keep the ones they have on? The Mamba at WOF also stops quickly.
