  1. Magnum XL-200, Ravine Flyer II, and Phantom's Revenge always make me laugh!
  2. I rode it several times last night as well and I agree!!! It was smoother, oddly, but the change of pace from when I rode a few weeks ago is drastic. It was flying through the whole thing. In the back left seat, there was airtime on the drop, Immelman, as well as a lot of floater air on the camelback. The dive loop was full of force too. GateKeeper is really stepping it up!
  3. Must have been a very, very slow news day.
  4. I rode Wicked Twister yesterday and I noticed what you're talking about, but it wasn't a white board. Yes, it was white, but it was kind of a cardboard material. It's used for posters for halloweekends and things like that, there's just nothing on them yet. Therefore, a blank, white, board.
  5. Imagine how fast it will run on a hot day in July with a full train of riders
  6. It doesn't have the gold colored letters over it yet (which I'm guessing it will have). You can see the bolt holes even. It's going to be amazing.
  7. ^Thanks, but I have no interest whatsoever in custom scenery. I only did what I did in this one because it really was necessary. The keyholes act as supports and are a highlight of the ride, so I had to do that for sure. Thank you all for the comments
  8. ^I have to say that after working in a park, I have much more respect for parents who understand their child is scared and doesn't "force" them to ride. I've seen kids crying from how terrified they were and we would talk to them to calm them down, but we would never dispatch a train unless the child physically said to us they were okay and ready to ride. There were times when the child would say no and the parents would be right beside them and tell us they were fine and to just ignore them. We'd keep trying, but if the child was certain they didn't want to ride, we wouldn't permit them. One time, this woman yelled at her son when that happened. We looked over and saw her making him do push ups on the midway in front of everyone. So you can try and "force" your kid to ride, but the ride operators might not allow it.
  9. That's way too complicated. Not even worth trying. Haha.
  10. I decided I would recreate Cedar Point's 16th coaster, GateKeeper! There are few things to take note of: 1) NoLimits does not have wingrider trains, so I used floorless trains instead. 2) I did not make catwalks on the lift. I have ADHD and I'm not going through that process. Call me lazy, but sorry! 3) Custom scenery is new for me. I don't like doing it, but it was kind of necessary with this ride. 11. I really like Jinkx Monsoon on RuPaul's Drag Race.
  12. Saturday should be busy, but nothing like July is. I wouldn't be too worried. On Sunday, crowds should be pretty mild. Weather-wise, it's hard to say. The weather should be pretty nice then BUT that area is known for weather changing at a moments notice.
  13. ^Not to mention, white supports do a good job of hiding what the seagulls love to leave behind, like on Raptor
  14. I just bought a laptop with Windows 8. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to access my screenshots. The "compatibility files" button is no longer there. I read on another forum that compatibility files are gone. So is there any way that I can get screenshots saved into another folder possibly?
  15. Here is my take on it: I've been on every type of B&M coaster except for a dive machine and a sit-down coaster (which is going to change this year). Batman clones are the most forceful, but my favorite invert is a toss-up between Raptor and Patriot. Why? Raptor has forces and has some awesome negative-g's in the back seat, but Patriot is FAST. I LOVE speed on a coaster. Patriot is nowhere near as forceful as Raptor, but I still enjoy it almost equally. Basically, if a coaster has speed (or in smaller B&M's case, is fast-paced) then I'll probably end up enjoying it. I've been on Diamondback and Behemoth and while they provided some great floater air, they didn't have much positive g-force... But the speed factor was just incredible. I loved it!!! Why make a crazy insane forceful ride when it's enjoyable without? Leviathan on the other hand, while it was VERY forceful at the beginning of the ride, the overall speed of the ride and then that small "speed hill" rocketed that ride into my top 5. Don't get me wrong, if a ride has forces, that's great! I LOVE that. But for me, the enjoyment comes from speed and pacing.
  16. A friend of mine just posted a picture of her new tattoo. It's of an anchor and says "I refuse to sink." It's so hard to resist saying "But anchors are meant to sink...." to her. Lol.
  17. I'm an Arrow fan boy, won't lie. But the fact of the matter is, coasters have life spans. Vortex will be around for a bit longer, but it will be gone eventually. No one really knows yet when that'll be. My hope is that with today's technology, older rides can be refurbished to get more life out of them. Not necessarily as dramatic as Steel Phantom into Phantom's Revenge, or the RMC coasters in Texas, but just something that keeps the attraction going, especially if it's still popular.
  18. So many of my peers get involved in those pyramid scheme things that target college kids and they think that somehow they're going somewhere in life with it. Then they're always like "You should join! It's the best! Do it!!!" Um. No. It's called a JOB. Get one.
  19. ^I LOVE The Little Mermaid. I saw that show live twice. Amazing. Pretty horrible song choice for that video, however.
  20. "This will be my first time riding GateKeeper!"
