Arrived in Pigeon Forge, TN about an hour ago and I have yet to see anyone even remotely close to my age... -

I remember riding Behemoth back in June and while we were on the ride, we could see the bogie vibrating a LOT. It was actually kind of humorous to watch. But Behemoth was MUCH smoother than Diamondback. -

I'll be going to CW next Tuesday. We'll be getting Fast Lane, but are there any tips that anyone has for us to make our day better? Thanks! -
Kennywood (KW) Discussion Thread
christianscoasters replied to DenDen's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was at Kennywood last Wednesday. LOVED the park. The coasters are fantastic, the food options (and pricing!) were great, and the park had a great atmosphere. Operations sucked except for Black Widow. We were pleasantly surprised at how efficient they were, especially since the ride had only been open for 4 days. Phantom's Revenge is now my #1 coaster! It was so awesome, especially in the back seat! -
Hopefully they do something about the nasty rattle on DB. I went to KI last Wednesday, got Fast Lane, rode Diamondback 10 times. Red train had the least amount of rattle. The other trains, it nearly gave me a headache. Also, you can hear it at the bottom of the drop on the midway. Or has that sound always been there? Fast Lane was great. Seriously. Lines were spilling out into the midway, so it was nice getting to skip that part. At some rides, however, they didn't have an employee separating the regular line and the Fast Lane line where they merge in the station, so we got a few dirty looks from people since it looked like we were "cutting" in line, even though we weren't. We got dirty looks at many rides though, especially Diamondback and Adventure Express. Oh well. They could have bought Fast Lane if they wanted to! Kings Island is a really great park!

I'm a little biased since I work on this ride, but I've only been on 3 racers anyway: Gemini

Yesterday, I managed to walk-on to the front row of Raptor, "magic seat" on Blue Streak, and back row of Wicked Twister. Waited 30 minutes for MF and TTD. Today, I waited 15 for MF and 30 for TTD. I rode Mean Streak twice today and it wasn't actually that bad!!! Not perfectly smooth but actually pretty tolerable, hence why I rode it twice.

So this weekend, I'm headed to Cedar Point. Today, I went from Greeley, Colorado to a small Nebraska town to spend the night. Along the way on I-80... I saw some supports for Superman going westbound! It was so sexy. I kept an eye open for more, but all I saw was a drop tower (Moser, I think) called "Shock Drop".

The issue isn't really a matter of their opinions, it IS about the article, mainly. I don't care what someone's opinion is, hell, the scariest ride I've ever been on was X at SFMM (Before X2) and I'm sure many people don't feel the same way about it as I do. I respect opinions, but this article sucked. Look at all of the comments on the original article; Even the GP doesn't agree with most of it...

Went to yahoo.com and found this as the first story. http://games.yahoo.com/blogs/unplugged/america-5-scariest-roller-coasters-175426570.html *Sigh* 1) OMG KINGDA KA IT'S LIKE THE BEST EVAR CUZ IT GOES SO HIGH IT'S BETTER THAN DRAGSTER. It also does not go "in excess" of 130 mph. 2) 1305 does not have 5 drops. Riders did not "lose consciousness" routinely, but black/grayed out. 3) Big shot isn't even a coaster 4) Really? SKC? I mean, it's fun, but what makes it so much scarier than other coasters? Seriously? NOTHING from Cedar Point?

Seriously, college really is a great time in your life. I have more great professors than I do bad ones. This particular guy just stands out in my mind. Today, he totally called a student out for multiple things, one of them being that he felt the student did the assignment just to get the points for it and didn't actually want to do it. I'm sorry, but not only are we supposed to complete the screwed up assignment, but it's a requirement to actually WANT to do it now? Geesh. I don't recall ever WANTING to do an assignment. Anywho, I'm considering reporting him to the dean, along with several other students who have him in different courses.

I have a professor that I'm so done with right now. 1) Instead of cancelling class, he has a substitute when he leaves. 2) He makes attendance worth a test grade and we only have two tests in the class. Then he takes it down a letter grade each time you miss class. (Who cares? It's in a big lecture hall and WE are paying hundreds to take this class. If I'm horribly sick and choose not to come to class, then that's on me! Let ME miss the information and let ME be responsible for obtaining it.) 3) He has said racially derogatory terms without apologies. 4) He spoke about a specific aspect of Australian culture then asked a student in the class who is from Australia if what he said was right. After the student had said how the professor was very wrong about it, the professor then said something along the lines of "Well I think it's the case, so it is." Yeah, because the guy who grew up there knows less about Australia than the professor who grew up in the southern US. 5) He interrupts people giving presentations to yell at the people arriving late. There are a select few people who are coming from the opposite side of campus and have no way of getting to class on time. I get so irritated when someone is presenting and he blatantly interrupts to yell at people for being late. Nobody even cares, dude. I could keep going on, but I'll keep it at 5.
