  1. hey dude how's it going! I'm not a regular at SFNE, but I've had my fair share of visits during all times of the year so I can try to help you (people who visit more can obviously jump in and tell him different things if I'm wrong, just going off of my experiences) -SFNE does indeed have fastpass as most if not all SF parks do -SFNE has grown alot, but from my experiences, to get everything done, I'd allow 8-10 hours probably to get a satisfying trip. -Best food? Someone else tell him this haha -I'd be aware of Superman, it's the #1 coaster in the world (my #2), and it sometimes has a large wait, or a small one, you should definitely hit it first to get on it no matter how the wait is, that should be your priority. Basically all of the other coasters don't have terrible waits. I love SFNE, it's one of the better SF parks, it may be smaller but it's fantastic and love it everytime I go, have a blast and let us know how you liked it!
  2. yeah I mean Six Flags did what they could with it, but it was just too much to handle really, it's more Premier then anyone else for sure. It definitely was unique with one of my favorite launches going into the dome before the elements, I too hope Six Flags has a cool replacement in line for this ride.
  3. I'm not sure if they will paint them now, but it would be better since the already red Steel Force is right behind it ya know? Well whatever, if they keep them red hopefully the supports are a different color. I'm just ready to have a fresh impulse close to home!
  4. I don't do lists but.. It's high up in my favorits especially looking at wood coasters It doesn't matter how many rides you have on this one.. it stay's fun. I do know some that get boring after a few rides.. but this.. it's just amazing hey man that's cool! Dude I know what you mean about rides staying fun, Lightning Racer and Thunderhead never get old for me no matter how many rides I grab, I guess GCI's have that effect on people! That's sweet that you have a solid woodie like that close to home! Also, just curious, how's is Booster Bike anyway? Looks quite unique!
  5. ^say what you want, doesn't matter to me big guy Anyway, Chiller will definitely be missed, not a coaster for me personally to cry over, but as a whole for the park. I just hope whatever they put in there, it'll be a good add for my homepark
  6. ^I agree man, if you're a real enthusiast, a coaster dear to your heart that comes down would make you upset I would think. Honestly, when Dorney took out Hercules, I was upset because that was my first really big wooden coaster and was excited that since I was planning on going out to college in PA near Dorney, it'd be near to me. But, they took it out and replaced it with a mediocre floorless, it happens man, I guess some have more passion about this industry then others...
  7. ^which would be absolutely amazing. I'm so hoping in that hopeful boat, even though it might be a stretch for something like that, before Storm Runner was announced we thought it was either a rocket or Hyper, or even Junior Hyper like Goliath in Holland. Either way, that would make me one happy kid if that's the case!
  8. wow what a fantastic update thanks a lot! I absolutely love GCI woodies and this one looks amazing, and Toverland looks like a neat place, where does Troy rank in your top ten rankings?
  9. nice report, glad you enjoyed my homepark! Kingda Ka is crap, haha I agree with you a million percent that Dragster is better, I know shoot me I should be representing my park and coaster here, but it's the truth. El Toro, awesome and true opinions, except I truly think the back is the most out of control row on the ride and no other row delivers as much as that one, although the other rows dont take away, it's just the drop and the hills in the back are so fantastic for ejector air. Medusa is my favorite steel coaster in the park, you must've hit it on a bad day or sat in the wrong seat because it is one fantastic floorless that remains one of my favorite beemers anywhere thanks for sharing again, looks like a great day!
  10. ^I too hope they find a home for Big Dipper, I thoroughly enjoyed that classic coaster, I mean it cracked into the Golden Ticket Top 50! It definitely deserves it.
  11. yeah DP is doing a good job with this, I hope the colors will be unique too, totally defining itself from other rides in the park. I doubt people will be offended by it, it's the name of a ride, and the logo is one of the best in a while since Medusa in my opinion
  12. Screamin Swing or Top Spin, it's not that hard to figure out, the ad doesn't mean it's the actual ride itself, just an idea of what it will look like. Either way, I've been on many Screamin Swings, and different sizes from Dorney's small one to Cedar Point and Lake Compounce's big ones and they are lots of fun. Top Spins are also fantastic because the program it runs vary sometimes, and they are freakin fun!
  13. ok I have 2 home parks, I live in NJ and go to college in PA. Park 1: SFGAdv Fav Coaster: El Toro & Medusa GP: I see the 2 guys above me, sorry I think you're a little off, Kingda Ka and El Toro are correct, but so many people brag about Nitro being there favorite, I've barely heard many Supermans and I've been to that park many times, they complain more about Superman because of the wait. Park 2: DP Fav Coaster: Steel Force GP: Mostly Steel Force, but many say Talon too
  14. haha that's awesome, and whats up with the girl in front of her, the ride too loud for her? haha. Thanks for sharing this, that ride looks really cool and the trains look comfy!
  15. idk, looks can be decieving, if this is successful I wouldn't be surprised to see this at parks here in the US
  16. 2000- Millennium Force @ Cedar Point 2001- Talon @ Dorney Park 2002- Batman: The Dark Knight @ Six Flags New England 2004- Storm Runner @ HP, Revenge of the Mummy @ Universal Orlando 2005- Hydra: The Revenge @ Dorney Park 2006- Pandemonium @ Six Flags New England 2007- Firehawk @ Kings Island, Maverick @ Cedar Point
  17. Dorney Park- Sept 29 Hersheypark- Mid-October
  18. mine was decent this year: Six Flags Great Adventure (x2) Dorney Park (x3) Kings Island (x2) Cedar Point (x3) Geauga Lake (1) Knoebels (1) Rye Playland (1)
  19. VERY pumped for this ride, I've always wanted an impulse close to home, it's about time signs have been put up. Plus, we have a piece of GL in our history now, which is exciting, can't wait to see more on this, i'll be at Dorney next saturday too, so I'll see what I can get!
  20. ^game over. Plus Batman was closed so much of that time
  21. Batman has been down for years and i dont think they would replace the spikes because whats the point if one side still isn't working and if they aren't even trying hard to reopen it. Plus, it sounds like SFGAdv has plans for a ride to fit into Chiller's footprint
  22. looking way too hard into this...thursday is 6 days away, I can be patient and it will be worth it without my brain hurting
  23. ^screamscape has been talking about this for a while and another site I'm on (the main SFGAdv fan site) has confirmed this too. Plus those pictures look valid, as one of them has a spider web netting for Fright Fest on the queue. I'm not sure how I feel about this, I'm relieved, yet I'm sad. GAdv is my homepark and I'm relieved because I was always tired of the status of this ride, I was always hoping to get on it everytime I went because it wasn't always a gaurantee because of being broken or having lines a mile long. But, I am also sad because this was a unique ride, no where else in the world did a coaster like this exist. Sure Mr. Freeze is out there but this one was a dueling ride and 2 completely different coasters. I had 3 spins on Batman and 7 on Robin overall. Well, I guess I'm saying goodbye yet again to another thing besides GL. 1998-2007, Chiller will DEFINITELY be missed because there is no doubt this was a park favorite because it was that unique.
  24. alright my turn haha I've had a brilliant history with this park, I went in 2000 to Sea World Ohio (does anyone remember this!!) and was watching the show on the lake that overlooked the new Six Flags Ohio (right after SF bought it). It was crowded and the park looked fantastic! Came back in 2002 when it was Six Flags Worlds of Adventure and I must say, it was an impressive place, seriously the 10 coasters they featured were top notch, well operated, and re-rideable. It was a highlight for me and made me proud of SF for purchasing, upkeeping, and pumping that many new thrills into that park. Then CF bought it then things went sour. I went this season, 2007 and what a change. Obviously 2 coasters took their leave, and the park was a mess, terrible operations, no excitement from employees, and half the rides were closed. I was really upset because this once bright shining place that made me have a great experience back in '02 was rapidly decaying, and now this announcement. Well, can't say we didn't see this happening. But why? Six Flags destroyed Cedar Fair on this one no doubt, they took Geauga Lake, put a family coaster in, an incredible B&M floorless, an Intamin Impulse, and a Vekoma Flyer in all in the span of 2 years, what an accomplisment. When I heard that CF took over I was bittersweet because some names had to change and theming was lost, but I knew CF's high reputation so I thought it would continue to get better. But nope, it just went down slowly. I don't care if Cedar Point is an hour away, they are 2 completely different places with different memories and experiences. Cedar Point, to some, is too big, too crowded, and too commerical, GL is close, and it's more laid back, family friendly, and just a nice beautiful park to visit, which many people might prefer. I know lots of thought went into their decision with this park, but the amusement industry lost another park that seriously had room to expand and become another signature park for Cedar Fair, all I can say is I had fantastic memories there and RIP Six Flags Worlds of Adventure/Geauga Lake, will definitely be missed.
  25. boy that is insane, you really do fly through that loop, what cool rides those are! I saw them once before but it's neat seeing that he built another one, thanks for this unique report!
