  1. Looks like the news got it wrong yesterday. Just read the real story in the paper and the operator fell from the "Rat" ride, a Maurer Söhne Wilde Maus Classic. I cannot find the article on the internet but the story is the exact same.
  2. I heard this on the radio coming home then looked it up Source from BBC News. Man injured in rollercoaster fall An 18-year-old ride operator is in a serious condition in hospital after falling about 80ft from a rollercoaster in Ayrshire. The man was working at the Loudoun Castle Theme Park in Galston when the accident happened at about 1145 BST on Sunday. He was carrying out repairs on the rollercoaster at the time. He was taken to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock. No-one else was on the ride at the time. Enquiries into the incident are continuing and the Health and Safety Executive has been informed. A statement from Strathclyde Police said: "His condition is described by medical staff as 'very serious'." 'Extremely distressed' The Scottish Ambulance Service said paramedics arrived within seven minutes of the call. Loudoun Castle boasts numerous rides including the Twist and Shout rollercoaster. In a statement, Henk Bembom, director of Loudoun Castle Theme Park, said: "I can confirm that an incident occurred this morning at Loudoun Castle involving a member of staff. "We are all devastated and extremely distressed and our thoughts are with our colleague and his family at this time "An investigation has started by Health and Safety. The ride concerned was in a good operating condition." "Twist and Shout" is a Schwarzkopf silverarrow model (Scorpion at BGA). Personally I feel sorry for this guy but it was probably his own fault. I hate hearing any sort of news like this. This year hasn't been particularly great for accidents, so lets hope this is the last one!!! I've already heard people talking about how dangerous theme parks are, but what they do not realise is that 9/10 incidents are due to people being careless and stupied! "Twist and Shout"
  3. Great TR so far! You guys seem to be having a great time! (Especially the two Brokeback Mountain boys! )

  10. Mines RCDB, which led me to coasterforce, then onto TPR!!! Wooooo!
  11. Happy birthday man!!! Do anything speacial?
  12. ^OMG!!! That looks disgusting! It makes look so tacky and dirty! I would only have rode that if I could take a shower afterwards! Personally I feel the clash between Rita & Corkscrew at AT is pretty much an eyesore. Completely ruins the themeing IMO.
  13. OMG!!! I was just on this 2 weeks ago!!! I would have freaked out if I was on the same train as the poor girl! I feel so sorry for her friends who were with her. Something no one wants to see they're friends like.
  14. Best: I love the ending on Space Mountain: mission 2 @ DLP I rode crush's coaster on the opening day and i thought the ending was fantastic! Go ride it and see for yourself! Worst: The ending to Goudurix at Parc Asterix is pretty dull and boring. Right enough it is the smoothest part of the ride!
  15. Hey man thats totally awesome!!! Very impressive! How long did that take you? Great work!
  16. Hey, Those pics of the Hulk are awesome! Really brings back some memories!!!
  17. OMG!!! That coaster is awesome!!! I didn't catch on to the mind trick though?! Could you tell me what it is and maybe I will click on!
  18. I would like to see copies of the dueling dragons & Hulk ones please? In fact, can I see pics of them all please?
  19. This looks like a really fun coaster! If only coaster companies were as good as the members of TPR!
  20. Oh my god! What the hell was this guy playing at? Is he blind? I mean, was he not even bothering to look? Which kind of suggests he isn't excatly bothered about his job. I don't even want to think about the consequences that could have happened because of this idiot!
  21. That place actually looks kind of fun! Not quite as fun though as the ghetto fairs some of us have been to!
  22. Corkscrew at AT Tornado at M&D's.... seriously you haven't felt pain until you have ridden this! I like Goudurix a LOT more than this torture chamber!
  23. Goudurix at Park Asterix is the SMOOTHEST coaster I have ever been on!
  24. REVIEW!!!!! I was at DLP on the opening day and the park was full! I completely forgot it was the opening day and couldn't figure out why so many people where there! when they finally opened it was like a stampeed towards Crush's coaster. For most of the day it was a 3 hour wait, so I wait till later on in the day to ride it when it was only a 75 minute wait. Personally I didn't think it would be worth the wait but it ended up being a fantastic coaster! I was a little disappointed with the queue line. The themeing was good but I was expecting more to be honest. I really liked the design of the cars though. Really added to the experience itself. If my memory is correct, the beggining of the ride starts with the small drop outside the building then goes through a couple of rooms one being filled with the "Jellies." You then reach a lift-hill which is set in the ship where "Bruce" the shark takes Marlin and Dori for there party from the film. Bruce jumps out half-way up the lift-hill where I completely shat myself! (Don't laugh, I have a fear of sharks!!! Anyway at the top of the lift-hill Crush shouts "Grab Shell Dudes" enter the first drop. The ride from there on is brill! Very fast, intense and unpredictable. Was really shocked with how intense the was for a "little kids" coaster. Seemed a lot more like a family fun if not a thrill ride! It's A LOT better than SW at Alton Towers and was most definetly worth the wait! A great adition to the park! It's not a very good review but if anyone has any Q's about the ride just ask! Oh and was anyone else from TPR their? I'm sure I saw someone wearing a TPR shirt or a coaster shirt out of the corner of my eye. [/u]
