  1. ^ I pretty much did the same thing except I came out in the year I took off prior to college and have never looked back
  2. Well that is good to hear It's always nice to hear thing like that - It gives me a little hope for the world
  3. ^ Yes I believe the Sooper Dooper Looper at Hersheypark will be getting some nice new Gerstlauer trains this year
  4. What I had heard is that they were starting to fall apart and pieces were dropping off when the trains would rumble by . . . there were tarps on the underside for the last couple of years they were there to catch any falling debris and I am guessing the cost to fix them up to prevent that from happening was too high so they scrapped them
  5. I would be happy just to see all of the original Demon theming return to tell you the truth, but I honestly think the only large investment CF is willing to put into that roller coaster would be the cost to tear it down at this point in time
  6. Up into the late 80s/early 90s, Arrow made trains for Vekoma coasters. Many operators (Canada's Wonderland, for example) took a spare Arrow train and used it on their Vekoma coaster (The Bat at CW, for example, has the third train from Dragon Fyre). Nowadays, Vekoma will still build Arrow-gauge trains- as is KumbaK ltd. With Gerstlauer moving into the 'new train' business, it's not ruled out that we could see Gerstlauer trains as well. To be honest I can't see CF putting that kind of money into a roller coaster as old as the Demon.
  7. Fully agreed. Voyage hurt me more, but at least it's exciting. Mean Streak just meanders about, and most coasters shouldn't do that. It's almost like a Grizzly with a longer and more interesting layout. Amtrak has a more interesting layout than the Grizzly
  8. The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is replacing their Crazy Surf ride with a KMG X-Factory that will keep the same name
  9. Well..actually the plans state the colour...and it's black/grey.. ei. a dull moody colour. LIKE EVERY SINGLE SINGLE COASTER MERLIN HAVE BUILT! (Saw, Thirteen, Krake, Raptor, The Swarm) Every single one of them is either black/grey or some moody colour. Meh guess it suits the theme. I just with they were abit braver with colour. I think a big part of the dull color choices at Alton is so the roller coasters are not nearly as visible from outside of the park - If the bitchy neighbors think they can see track they raise hell -
  10. I am going to have to go with Superman as well standing under that tower is like standing to close to a jet taking off. Zonga and Flashback both come in a close second although standing in the boarding station of the old Tidal Wave/Greased Lightnin' at CGA was also pretty loud as well
  11. Best Wood SCBB Giant Dipper - Worst Wood CGA Grizzly Best Steel Xcelerator - Worst Steel Demon
  12. ^ Thank you. Scott - your grandmother sounds AWESOME! Oh yeah she is awesome - 91 Years old and still one of the most accepting people I know
  13. Very sad to say none I hate that I live where the nearest amusement parks are all at least an 8 hour drive away
  14. Robb I am going to say I think it might be the new B&M Invert at Asterix
  15. I never really had to come out to my parents - I had a very fun loving mom who was very close with several of my friends and I am unsure if she had asked them or they just told her but before I could say anything to my Mom and Dad they both already knew and my Mom was actually excited about it. Dad not so much at first I think he had to get used to it, he did have many gay friends when he was in college (in fact my Mom thought he was gay when she met him because he did have quite a few gay friends so it wasn't because he had an issue with gay people) It just took him a while for whatever reason , then my Grandma shocked me as I had no clue she knew I was gay until one day she randomly asked if I had a boyfriend and if I did to bring him the next time I came to visit - It was all bit unnerving and awesome at the same time to have it all happen that way
  16. Looking at the test runs it looks like this coaster starts off really good and kind of fizzles out
  17. Rattle or no rattle this just looks like a very intense ride - I really hope we see them designing more coasters like this in the future
  18. I am going to go out on a limb here and say that the people who are saying Grizzly is rough have not been on it since the re-tracking - It was getting really bad before they did all of that work to it
  19. Did Speed of Sound have a bad season? There are several videos on Youtube of it stalling in various places and getting stuck
