  1. Or Timberliners were not an option when this was all planned out
  2. Keep in mind this coaster will have the topography of the land going for it as well - The environment around a coaster can make a big difference
  3. I didn't find FOF's OTSR to be anywhere near as bad as JJ's even with all that extra "padding" you still got bashed around to no end but FOF's(at least at KD) weren't as big around on the top as JJ's were....I'm kinda not liking premier's lap bar all that much either as it's getting to be a tight fit on both FOF & BLSC these days & having that oversized bar shoved into your gut isn't the most comfortable thing during a ride on either coaster. Was there something special about Speed the Ride I don't understand, it seems like all of the Premier rides with OTSR's were unbearable to the point that they were replaced with lap bars with the exception of that one coaster
  4. I wont wait that long for that POS I was just saying the dispatch times are ridiculous
  5. In theory couldn't they get a B&M and fill it with sand and add some sound shielding like California Screamin' has on it and use the Whizzer area
  6. I think the newer B&M stand up trains might help out Vortex It is a great layout for the tiny piece of land it is on and it would be a shame to see it go - If I had to pick a coaster at the park that was on the endangered list I would say The Demon
  7. Yes what you say is very true I believe all 4 parks in the Bay Area deal with whiny bitchy neighbors
  8. Kong at SFDK - certainly the line for an SLC can move faster than the line for an Invertigo or a GIB
  9. Not sure why anyone would be against it USH is the most unimpressive of the Universal Parks it needs something new and spectacular - even if you are not into Harry Potter any park improvements are better than nothing at all -
  10. With the whole recent issue with the Dragon Challenge and the fact that there will probably never be a dueling coaster like that ever built again (at least in the US) I think I would rather see a dragon themed roller coaster like the Incredible Hulk at USH instead
  11. I group it into two sets My first roller coaster other than kiddie coasters was the Jet Stars at SCBB and my first large roller coaster was the Whizzer once at CGA and my first looping coaster was the Tidal Wave once at CGA . . . SCHWARZKOPF POWER !!!!!
  12. These European fairs never cease to amaze me and make me insanely jealous of anyone that gets to go to one - I also find it very interesting that the Chance Zipper never caught on in Europe, I am assuming it is mostly due to low capacity
  13. Olympia Looping has got to be one of the most spectacular looking coasters ever built - it is definitely a work of art
  14. Come on Robbn this trip around the Moser mini top spin didn't look nearly as bad as the one I saw a few years ago
  15. I agree I would like to have a Manta car in my living room who the hell needs a couch when you can have one of those beauties
  16. I am getting very excited for Manta - I want to ride it just to sit in those trains
  17. I can honestly see these being made bigger and more aggressive and marketed as thrill rides
  18. I will be very curious to see if they take the high 5 element and have the trains coming at each other through it in a future design
  19. Its been said by several people already but thank you again Robb and Elissa for taking the time and putting in so much effort in providing all of us with amazing coverage of IAAPA It looks like amazing things are going to be happening over the next couple of years
  20. What do you expect from KMG they are very sick individuals
  21. I absolutely love the new S&S ride - Robb and Elissa on that together is so like me and my partner, he refuses to ride anything with me that I can spin myself - A ride like that has amazing potential to be amped up as a major thrill ride
  22. Nothing....nothing at all. We looked. We asked. Nothing. Oh well I guess we will just have to wait and see - The afterburner is already an amazing ride so the new motion provided by the rotating seats should make it even more incredible
