  1. Did KMG have any information on Sicko ? I was curious as if the seats spin free or are motorized
  2. Has there ever been any ground under any coaster that has been more scrutinized and speculated about than the ground under Scream! ? Yes Medusa at SFDK
  3. I've been trying to think of potential name changes. So far, I keep coming up with "Touchdown" for Drop Tower . Flight Deck and Drop Tower will most likely have new names...aren't those Cedar Fair trademarks? Since I've completely given up hope for a new ride during this transition year, the most exciting thing about the 2012 season will be seeing the new ride names... Firefall could be renamed fumble
  4. So since it is in fact a Premier Rides project could there be a chance it would have the dual loading station like the Mr. freeze coasters have that would help with the RPH
  5. So they are going to name it Goliath correct me if I am wrong but wouldn't there be a coaster taller than "Goliath" in that park that seems kind of silly if you ask me
  6. Wouldn't it be funny if Pandemonium from SFDK ended up there just so the park could keep the record
  7. To be fair (pun intended), it costs a lot less to build one ride five times, than it does to design and develop five different rides. If they are able to see an increase at the turnstile with being smart with how they spend their money, that's some great business decisions there. And wasn't this the company that was almost sold a few months ago and in a bit of trouble? While this particular ride may not appear to some die-hard thrill seekers or coaster enthusiasts, it's not a bad move for the company. And these rides no matter how thrilling they are are a definite attention grabber to the GP which is the whole point in the first place, parks don't build rides for enthusiasts they build them to get people in the parks
  8. Well they have not sunk to the level of Alton Towers yet so that's probably a good thing
  9. How about a Sartori Twister they might be able to pull one of those off, it would be a tight squeeze but It could work http://www.sartorirides.net/dettaglio_major.asp?lingua=eng&id=105#
  10. Let the bitching and complaining begin
  11. You are so right I has never thought about that
  12. Seems that will be the location of the new ride for 2012. Though what will fit on this small space? My guess is a Zamperla Hawk or Rotoshake. I would love to see them get a Zamperla Air Race but it sure won't fit in that location A KMG Discovery would fit nicely there however
  13. Yeah I love that smell as well and I do come across similar smells from time to time as well
  14. Put the dinosaurs in Disaster Transport and rename it Dinocoaster
  15. That wonderful mixture of grease moisture and old wood
  16. Olympia Looping and The WEM Mindbender
  17. Right, I am sure the presence of the Delta Flyer/Eagles Flight was a big factor in the decision to remove the train. The park isn't that big two transportation rides were not needed IMO
  18. I think it is going to be more like Flashback
  19. We really need a park up in Nor Cal our nearest parks to the south are CGA, SFDK and SCBB over 300 miles away, Going north isn't much better the nearest parks that way are in Northern Oregon about 300-400 miles away
  20. I'm glad someone mentioned this one (figured it would be you, John!) But seriously, if there was ever a "GP" Ride that got people talking, even though the ride totally sucked, it's that I'd always hear random non-coaster people say "Did you see/ride/whatever the coaster on top of the tower in Las Vegas???" They wouldn't know what the name of the ride was, and most of them didn't even know the name of the tower. But they knew there was a coaster up there! Most people don't care about a drop tower or some spin n' puke, they want to tell people they rode the ROLLER COASTER on the tower! I've heard nothing but how attendance has dropped dramatically from the attractions on the tower since the coaster left. Stupid, stupid, stupid move... even for Las Vegas! Yeah I had forgotten about that one, One can only hope something new is in the works for the top of the tower I think something with cars similar to a Volare would work quite well up there
  21. It goes back further than that CGA was also supposed to get a Hurler at one point as well
  22. The way the ROS midway is set up you would have to pass the sign to get to the exit. The ride exits through the gift show and the ride entrance with the sign is located just to the left of the Gift Shop. He would have to pass the entrance in order to get to the ride exit. Thank you for clearing that up I have seen quite a few rides where the exit is in another area and a person going through that way wouldn't see the signs at all.
