I have a question, if it was a maintenance nightmare why would Cedar Fair relocate it to another park where it would continue to be a maintenance nightmare as opposed to selling it off

Its funny because you don't hear about Powder Keg having many problems, this might be limited to the bigger faster air launched coasters, but I agree if they keep this pattern up it may be the end of them, they do have quite a few other coasters and rides that are reliable though, they should just cut their losses and stick to the ones that work and work out all of the bugs with these newer coasters before selling anymore of them.

I think this will be the end of this coaster, if they are smart it will be at least before it actually does hurt or kill someone

Forget a Jr wooden coaster They should just have GCI come in and rebuild the Zip Im sure it could be done with todays technology

There are quite a few Schwarzkopf coasters in storage I hope somebody will give the love they deserve at this point

So the coaster is gone now any ideas as to where it ended up I would hate to hear that a Jet Star was scrapped

Im surprised they don't have the "V" shape to them like the other newer euro fighters I imagine that slows the loading times slightly though

As of now I know of 3-4 different parks that are holding out on their 2012 additions. They may be one of those parks holding out. Honestly, most announcements are not made until the fall, so I wouldn't spend the whole summer waiting for an announcement that might arrive thin fall. I don't think they know either.... Between ride removals, the stadium, and everything else, I feel the only major announcement they'll have this year is it's closing... I could (and hope) I'm wrong though. Thats about how I feel as well I think they have just given up on it and are planning to run it as long as it makes money or until the city forces a stadium on them

Ok so I am going to be heading up to Oregon and was wondering about the parks up there, I know about Oaks Park and Enchanted Forrest but would like to know how they are and if there are anymore small parks I should know about up there. Thank you

RCDB lists Katun as having a 147.8 ft drop so I would imagine its loop would be around the same height as Medusa and Scream

I think Bizzaro and Scream both are the same height . . . or is Scream a bit bigger?

Im not all that shocked it just seems like it would be a very problematic ride

Yeah measuring criteria is a good thing to bring up are you talking about overall size of the loop or how high you are upside down ?

I would have to say both the SCBB Giant Dipper and the old Tidal Wave at MGA

I wouldn't hold my breath I don't think they even fully know what they are going to do with that place

Flashback at SFMM I never thought that ride got the credit it deserved it wasn't that rough and it was a one of a kind experience with nothing even remotely like it anywhere

Medusa at SFDK way way over hyped . . . not only did they market it as a flying coaster at first it just fails to deliver in all ways possible
