Suprising Soakings
ScottBrown replied to Kingsislandfreak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I somehow got soaked on Pirates of the Caribbean in Ca when it came off of the lift at the end of the ride for some reason it created a splash just big enough to get me and the person behind me pretty wet. -

16/20 Im a dork -
Yeah I agree I don't think they are going to close it down they are just taking some time to figure out what they can do with the park. The couldn't build the GCI in the planned location and removing Grizzly or Demon would present the same problem, I guarantee if they were to tear either of those down it would be a huge battle to build anything new there. The only option for anything new would have been to clear up a spot away from those Nazi businesses along the side of the park

Doesn't the park already have a Chance Revolution? What is it, about seven hours between Knott's and CGA? That's plenty of distance to build a Windseeker at CGA and not be competing with KBF but with SFDK adding Skyscreamer, why should they? They need to add something that Six Flags doesn't have. I think CF is aware that the park needs a new coaster and I'm sure it's in their long term plans if things work out for them regarding the stadium issue. I would like to see the park continue on. Besides, who's idea was it allow office buildings to be built next to a theme park? I was referring to the Kings Island one and the fact that CP has the exact same ride

Wouldn't something like Kanonen fit nicely in that spot. Im still not ruling out a Windseeker even though there will be one at Knott's and a similar ride at SFDK . . . I have a great example for you Delerium and Max Air . . . perhaps they will surprise us with a new coaster and a Windseeker replacing Skytower

That's the same thing that spelled doom for two face following it's malfunction in 07.Negative publicity forced the park to remove it. Perhaps they may be shipping the ride east? CP already has WT so there's not much sense in installing it there. Yes but Drop Tower has had its share of negative publicity and a much worse accident and yet it remains in the park, same can be said for Perilous Plunge at Knott's. Cedar fair doesn't seem to be in the business of removing a ride due to bad press

Regardless of what anyone says I can see it going to Cedar Point along with another new coaster because its got a small footprint and would be easy to squeeze in the park and boost the coaster count with minimal investment At this point CGA may as well just only open for Haunt it seems to be the only reason to go there anymore

Oh you are not alone I feel the same way. I am thinking at best if anything does go in that spot it will be a hand me down from another park, (I wonder if Knott's is still looking to get rid of Screamin Swing) It no doubt a sad shadow of the park we grew up going to isn't it. I agree with you 100% about Invertigo going to Cedar Point if it is going anywhere it will be there to boost the coaster count
