So basically if you do anything in China they reserve the right to utilize your technology and produce it themselves

Yeah that looks like a copy of Kumali to me as well. I wonder if they have some kind of contract with Vekoma or if they are blatantly ripping them off . . . if so Vekoma is not the only company they are doing that to . . . http://www.rcdb.com/8601.htm?p=24946

My first guess is Primeval Whirl -
I think the Giant Dipper is very underrated, it may not be the biggest but for being over 80 years old its quite a ride

I have a few problems with that theory, the heavier trains wouldn't "have more mass to lift up and over the hill" in theory the extra weight would restrict its climb . . . take a light rock and a heavy one and throw them both up in the air the same concept applies here. And of course a lot of this also depends on how tight the wheels fit the track as well, wheel friction could also play a major role in slowing the train dramatically as well.

Where in the World is Robb & Elissa???
ScottBrown replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I know it's probably hard for some people to understand this - but Formula Rossa was not the main reason for us to come to the UAE. We have been talking about Dubai for a few years now, and yes, Rossa was one of the reasons, but the fact that we got to come to part of the world we have never been to before, spend a few days exploring, and getting do a lot of amazing fun things by far makes up for missing one coaster. We pretty much knew that the ride would be closed our entire visit from day one of us getting here. At any point in this update, did it look like that put a damper on our trip? And keep in mind, we travel all over the world all time. It's not as though this was going to be our "chance of a lifetime" to ride one coaster. If it was really that big of a deal to us, we would extend our stay out here as there is nothing stopping us from doing that. We just don't really care THAT much. I have a feeling you'll see us back here sooner than later as we really liked this part of the world. --Robb "We really weren't bummed because we are having an awesome time." Alvey I completely understand I just thought it was a funny caption to the picture, Dubai looks like an incredible place and I have wanted to go there for a while now roller coasters or no roller coasters. Glad to hear you are having an awesome time -
