I don't think it's fair to judge all of Six Flags based on one of their worst parks. That's like judging all of Cedar Fair based on Geauga Lake.

We'd have to come up with a new name for the ride. But, if we took that Kings Island would definitely win the Golden Ticket Award for worst large coaster collection. Nobody else would even come close.

Six Flags Parks Visited: SFKK, SFGAm, SFMM, SFOG, SGA, and SFGAdv. Cedar Fair Parks Visited: Cedar Point, Kings Island, Kings Dominion, Knott's Berry Farm, and Geauga Lake. Six Flags by a long shot. Cedar Point is the only CF park that I've visited that I have any desire to go back to. Sometimes I slum it at Kings Island because it's my home park, but I don't really like the place. Six Flags, in general, just has a *lot* better coasters. A quick trip to Mitch's poll supports this. Both parks have ugly concrete slab parks like SFA, Geauga, etc, but I don't think that CF could EVER compete with the quality of SFGAdv, SFOG, and SFGAm. Those three parks to me are all better than CP, especially SFGAdv, which may have the strongest coaster collection in North America. Behemoth is the only thing that has me hopeful about CF right now. This may be the beginning of them installing great coasters outside of CP.

Yeah, I hope they can restore it to how it ran last year. It's way too early to neutering the ride already. The spot after the triple down used to be amazing, but now you're chugging along trying to regain speed.

You mean a site called "Theme Park Review" offers trips where you do nothing but ride roller coasters? On a more serious note sightseeing is fine. And there are about a billion companies that offer sightseeing tours of Europe. That just happens to be outside the focus of this outfit. The wife and I plan to arrive in Paris a few days early to do all the standard tourist stuff beforehand. So we get both the standard tourist stuff AND the theme parks.

Uhm, the guitar is just a prop. The music is all electronic. No guitar at all. This video gets two thumbs up from me. A coaster as good as The Phoenix certainly deserves its own cheesy song.

Having one kick ass B&M automatically makes Carowinds a better park than Kings Island. But, at least Kings Island has......oh that's right. Nothing!

I dunno Ted. I'm not sure that I can be thankful for them ruining my favorite part of the ride with the trims. As a result, Voyage quickly fell out of my top 10 this year. They should have gone with Intamin. A higher upfront investment would be worth it for less long term problems.

I think that floorless is more about marketing than anything else; a way to breathe some new life into the old sit down loopers. Is it a radical departure from previous technology? Nope. But at least it doesn't suck like stand ups do.

Who cares about the announcement? The real mystery is how many feet of re-tracking is Voyage going to need this year. I think it was 1100 feet last year. I'm going to go with ~2,000 feet this year. Anyone want to get a pool going?

Flyers bring lines nearly everywhere I've been. They load slowly and they're still a novelty to many people.

Geez. And I thought this was one of the more well run Six Flags parks.

Has anyone else noticed that CP fanboys usually have literacy problems? Maybe we can start a fund to help Cedar Point's fans out. "Give to Kinzel's Kids", or something to that effect.

Since my brother lives in Asheville, I'll certainly make it up to G-TITS some day. It looks like it has the potential to be a really awesome park.

This is the part of the story that has the "WTF???" factor. I smell a rat!...someone is pointing there finger on the wrong people. Yeah, because nobody ever sues doctors. There aren't enough facts presented here to render any semblance of a judgment. Poor guy. This does seem like a pretty bizarre case. If someone was injured this extensively on a ride, it should be shut down and inspected.

You know I'm starting to really dislike big woodies, unless they're Intamin woodies. All of my favorite woodies, except ET, are under 100 feet. Phoenix, Avalanche, Cornball Express, Raven, Thunderbolt, etc. Giant woodies just get jacked up quicker.
