NL- Expedition X-tream
dr.gumbo posted a topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I've finished newest coaster, its an Intamin hyper (well it isn't really as its below 200ft) done in the style of the two new ones in Japan and Denmark and thats about it really so heres the statistics: -Height: 105ft -Speed: 51mph -Length: 2500ft -Elements: -105ft drop, two camel backs, large turn, bunnyhop, two more hills, a twisted hill and a finally hill with lots turns mixed in all of that. Enjoy! EDIT: Downloads back up, must of removed it by accident! I have decided to pull of a Sixflags and alter the ride in a simular fashion to X2, one of the alterations is to the the name Operation X-tream to Expedition X-tream, more changes will be released later including support refinement, colour change and more! EDIT2: I have re-released Operation X as Expedition X or X-tream, this version has a new colour scheme (which I would like you to give a opinion over), refined support work and minor alterations to the trackwork. Enjoy...comments and critism are welcome! Operation X-tream-a2.bmp Before... Expedition X-tream-2-071114215424000.bmp After! Expedition X.nltrack -
[NL] P-51 Mustang
dr.gumbo replied to FeelTheFORCE's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Its a nice, smooth ride with some good elements and great support work. However, I think the layout is'nt the best in the world but its still a good ride (I love how it creeps to the second vertical drop and the train stacking in front of the second inversion). -

Looks great, a bit of a copy of gimmick (something Intamin have been doing a lot of lately) but apart from that it looks like a winner. I wish I could go on the site but flash doesn't work for me, don't ask me why! -
Six Flags St. Louis (SFStL) Discussion Thread
dr.gumbo replied to Homer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
.. and I said yesterday that I thought six flags only was going to add THBS's from now on... Also, it seems that SF St.louis is getting all the attention, theres the other SF parks too! As for the ride, the layout does'nt do anything for me but hey, at least a GCI is being built. -
NL coaster Shadow

Since you responded to mine I'll respond to yours Very good, it has a cool layout and the transitions are smooth and graceful. However the transition before the brake run is a bit quite sharp (though it doesnt look it) and the lifts a bit fast but heck, at least it saves time. Again, great ride! -
NL-The Tempest
dr.gumbo replied to dr.gumbo's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
^ It is my first coaster 'complete' coaster, I've made others but never bothered finishing them! To answer your second question... No, I inserted all the inversions and altered a cobra roll for the Sidewinder. -
NL-The Tempest
dr.gumbo replied to dr.gumbo's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I'm going to start a new coaster soon, so I would like someone to comment on this rollercoaster. It would be a great help so I can improve my next one! Thanks! -
^ Intamin Rocket coasters always break down a lot but they are still open the majority of the time. So unfortunatly were stuck with it. However, Batman and Robin hardly opened at all, and if it did it was only one side operating which doesn't look very professional (but it still would of been so much better than stealth).

Figured it out (eventually)! Also heres some statistics... -2000-ft lenght -100-ft tall -48 mph max sp. -Three inversions ( a loop, a sidewinder and a corkscrew) And thats about it so enjoy! Tempest-070920181907000 (2).bmp The bigger than it looks 90-ft first drop. Tempest-070920182004002 (3).bmp The corkscrew, the last of the three inversions. -
I've recently got NL and after a while, I got bored looking at the ready made rides so I decided to make one myself so... it could of ended in tears but I think its a fair try. The Tempest is loosely based on the 'Tennessee Tornado' incase you wanted to know! BTW Since its the first time I've tried transferring a NL file could you correct me if I'm doing anything wrong. And could someone tell me how to make an NL snapshot into a file so I can put one on like the rules say. Cheers! Tempest.nltrack

The blue flash is undoubtable a great achivement, I 've never heard of another 'safe' back yard looper and if I did'nt know about Blue flash, I possible would'nt beleive it was possible. Great achievment! BTW Thanks for the photos

Kumbak will be exited about this news... -
It does look like a good park, different and unique. Thanks for the photos! BTW It must have been interesting walking around Cliff hanger, I assume they haven't bothered to fence the ride off!

Thats most likely not going to happen (since England hates anything tall), but I would love to see a park get a woodie like Raven or something simular. Lightwater valley could have one as a replacement for the Ultimate if the rumors are true but I'd be gob-smacked if it did happen, speaking about the Ultimate, isn't that longer than the beast (even if its steel, it doesn't really matter as its designed to the style of a woodie). Onto the question; yes, it proberbly will happen!

I don't know about everyone else but I think the new trains look like they will give quite a funky experience, but they do look a bit odd. Even if you dont like them, you've got to give credit to B&M for trying something different. (something they hav'nt done since the Flying coaster or possible Sheikra) BTW I doubt it will break into anyones 'top ten' -

LoCoSuMo? Well mayby thats an exception but if you do look at some of CCI's later rides they are very familiar to what GG do now. Take New Mexico Rattler for example! -

Is there, its not as if they fence there rides of well! (look below) Its still an idiotic thing to do. If they were desperate for it they should of asked a member of staff to do it for them (not with the ride operating offcourse). Picture from the 2005 Europe TPR trip.
