  1. ^ Darn, I'll be away for the week. At least I've got something to look forward too when I come back.
  2. Well, this is a nice bunch of rides you have here, I had a lot of fun riding them. I'll rate each one individually because they all had their induvidual faults and improvements. Zulu The Good -Nice suprise at the beggining. -It was quite fun. The not so good -It has its fair share of pumps. -The actual layout wasn't that original. -Awful colour. 6/10 Prodigy The good -Great idea -Nice station -Cool colours / logo The not so good -Its quite pumpy -Its virtually the same as the late Flamigoland 'Bullet' minus the cool loop / station thread. 5/10 Liquity The good -It was suprisingly smooth. -A fun layout. -A few original elements. The not so good -As far as the 'whole' ride goes, its not the most original thing in the world. -Awful colours. -Awful forces. 7/10 Will be updated as more rides are added.
  3. I'm completely blow away by this thing, a LOT of work must have went into building it. To bad it has to be taken down sooner or later.
  4. ^ I've already said that (minus the link) but the point still stands.
  5. ^ That will probably go down a bit as it always does yet from what I'm hearing, this is one astonshing film.
  6. Awesome stuff as always, too bad I never have the time (and money) to go on one of these trip. Enought about me because these reports kick ASS.
  7. According to the main site they've been running tests, has anyone got any photos or footage?
  8. I've decided to put this ride on hold for now for a number of reasons. Firstly, its getting boring. Secondly, it isn't as mad as I thought it would be (probably because of the tools) and thirdly, its getting boring! I promise I'll try and make up for it. (not the first time I said that lol)
  9. It looks cool but are those 3d's yours?
  10. As far as terrains go, this isn't the best. It wasn't as if the layout or trackwork was bad, it just wasn't great. The good -The tilted loop was cool. -It felt like a Schwarzkoph. (sp?) The not so good -Nearly everything was at an average scale making your ride very forgettable. -The speed was poorly utilized. My verdict Despite you efforts, this thing exceeds in average-ness.
  11. Yeah, catwalks are probably your best bet for the station. As for the ride, it was alright. Like many rides, the downfall for this thing is those horrific pumps. I think it needs a lot of work concerning the trackwork but saying that, I like the layout. The good -Nice pace -Gloriously screwed up layout The not so good -The pumps were poor at parts, horrific at others -Awful colour scheme -A bit un-original as far as twisters are concerned (not one noticable element) My verdict This thing should be a bucket of fun but the pumpy and forgettable execution spoil it. 5/10
  12. Nice to see a ride from you, I always loved your building style and this one was no different. The good -It exceeds in the fun factor -It explores a different approach in layout while staying true to your track style -Its quite smooth considering the design The not so good -The use of trims and boosts to create the pace you want, I consider that to be cheating when it comes to designing. -Some of the transitions were too harsh. My verdict Despite the obvious faults , your design style ensures that this ride doesn't disappoint. 7/10
  13. I guess I'll be riding this a 1 FPS then.
  14. I thought I heard it somewhere! Being a woodie and being 350ft tall I don't think I'll be supporting it myself. lol However, certain elements will require me to so don't worry too much. Its a bit too late to completely re-haul the ride unfortunatly. There was, however, a earlier version of this ride which is one of the things that got deleted when my computer broke. I never finished due to quite a few problems (mainly forces). When I started to remake it, I got really bored so I desided to try a different approach to making the ride hence the use of tools. Don't worry though, I still plan on making the majority of my rides by hand. I just thought I'd try something different. As for the photos...
  15. With a top speed of 100mph...drops over 300ft...airtime lasting for four seconds...and a track length of over 6000ft. You'll wonder if you ever need to ride another 'Woodie' again, and thats only the first half! Thunder Mountain, coming soon to a computer near you. This thing will be my first NL ride to use tools such as Elementary and, to my surprise, its turning out very well. Its not going to completely rely on 3ds like my last ride. Instead I want to focus on the ride itself. Hopefully, it'll work this time. I'll post some pictures later.
  16. I think it takes real talent and patiance to do what you have done. I was arrogant enought to ignore this thread because I assumed it was just a little drawing stiched together in five minutes. My God, I was wrong! You can forget all those computer-made maps parks sell you for £5, I would pay £10 for this!
  17. ^ Counts peoples posts. < Doesn't count peoples posts. \/ Going to change the subject.
  18. Heres mine, its nothing special but I like the photo.
  19. This is for you Dbru. OMG! How could you do this. I thought you changed your ways but I was wrong. No-one will ever take you seriously if you keep making these RCT-type recreations and death coasters. (Hmm, my Dejavu senses are tingling) Anyway, what the hell happened to that other woodie you were working on?
  20. It was hilarious how much you ranted on about HellCat. I think you came up with about twenty insultments there. I seriously suggest you do a little re-cut here and there because it be honest, it was getting boring. Other than that, I loved it.
  21. This isn't that bad of a try for your first coaster, some parts were actually quite smooth but as you said, others were not smooth. Try not to over use the smoother when making a ride, for things like straight drops you don't really need to use more than one vertex (two if you want it at a certain angle). When you do use the smoother, make sure you seperate it into small parts so it doesn't alter the track shape greatly. Secondly, try and make your own supports. Prefabs are okay depending on how you use them but for major elements try use you own supports. Finally, when theres ANY sort of turn within a ride (when its above 20) you always need to bank it. It can lead to nasty forces if you don't. Thats all I have say at the moment, keep up the good work!
  22. ^ A bit off-topic but I love how they used benches as a fence. Something you won't see in the west.
  23. I think I prefered the style Tim Burton used for Batman, the dark but not too serious one. I think all the films after them have been a bit too serious or not serious enought . I have nothing against Batman Begins, thats the best of the lot. I just thought Burtons 'style' was better. Onto this film, I think it could be the best Batman film ever made, but I can't see any of my brothers wanting to watch it. It looks far too scary.
