  1. I'd probably like to go to any of those parks you mentioned. In fact, I've been to Playland in Rye, NY a few times. I was there a couple weeks ago, and for how old it is, the Dragon Coaster is still amazingly smooth and fun. It's nothing intense or really thrilling, but it's definitely my favorite ride there. On the other hand... Super Flight was a bad idea. Take any crazy mouse, put it in flying coaster form with hard, unpadded plastic cars to lie on top of (most uncomfortable seating EVER), and make it so that the seat sides are as close to the sides of your head as possible. Luckily, the padding spared me a gigantic headache. Also, Crazy Mouse is a very slow, boring ride which only has one thing to offer: a bunch of non-entertaining lateral G's which can almost be found on the Dragon Coaster, except in more entertaining form. In terms of coasters, Playland's oldest is also its best. But anyway, historical parks and coasters do intrigue me, so it's a good idea that you brought this up.
  2. Yeah, that's how I see it too. I may have voted for myself, but I'm only #3 on my top 3 list. I didn't vote for myself because I wanted to improve my chances -- I seriously decided that those were my favorites. And if anyone doesn't believe me, let it be that way... it doesn't affect me. Edit: And yes, I can tell now that I have no chance of winning. Personally I could truly care less... seeing as entering this contest has cost me nothing but a bit of free time. Seriously, I love Photoshopping stuff. I mean, a big ol' bag of UK Trip junk would be interesting to have... but what would I do with it anyway?
  3. I haven't been on very many slides, but I'd have to say my favorite is Niagara Rapids Run at Great Wolf Lodge in Ontario, Canada... I was there last week and rode it 7 times. It's what they call a water-roller-coaster, and it has some decent bursts of airtime and speed. Most of the airtime and speed is from high-speed conveyor belts... and it's a lot of fun.
  4. "Free" - Powerman 5000
  5. Yes, it's very hot where I live. Torrance, CA... 48 miles SW of SFMM. I'm too lazy to look at the temperature, though.
  6. 1. Cllins Entry #1 2. Luxo Entry #1 3. VJGX Entry #1 (honestly; I'm not just voting for myself, ha) Picking these was pretty difficult, though. There are a whole lot of really great ones up there! Great job everyone!
  7. ^ Am I allowed to vote for myself?
  8. Usually not, but my friend does. We were waiting in line for GhostRider and he started playing verbal Tic-Tac-Toe (the one where you say the numbers of each space) with a couple strangers...
  9. The closest I've been to being on a stopped ride is being one car away from riding SuperFlight at Playland, NY. They had to stop the ride for 10 minutes to clean up after someone who vomited. I wasn't on it, but it was pretty awkward. Also, I almost got stuck on Supreme Scream after the ride was over. The buckle wouldn't come undone and they had to get a couple employees to play around with it before it would work again.
  10. Six Flags Magic Mountain. Then again, I've only been to SFMM, KBF, and a couple small parks...
  11. ^^^ I can't imagine E-stopping on a flying coaster... weird. And as for me... I was waiting in line for Tatsu on opening day. I was maybe 10 minutes at the most from getting on. Suddenly, a large group of at least 25 people - no flashpasses, no nothing - cuts everyone in the station to the front of the line -- BLATANTLY, with a bunch of ride ops even watching. What happens? Nothing. No one does anything about it. No "hey"s, no "stop cutting"s. Not a single word about it, and not even a fake excuse from the line-cutters. Unfortunately, it was about midnight and I was half-asleep from waiting so long... and it took me until the next day to realize what had happened. Oh well, at least it didn't bother me at the time; I would've been mad.
  12. ^ That pretty much sums it up. Go to KBF for the overall experience. Go to SFMM for the great rides. Personally, 90% of the reason I visit parks is for the rides, so I prefer SFMM; Both parks are very good, though.
  13. Here's mine. It's a picture of the only coaster I haven't ridden at Knott's (I don't count PP as a coaster). The last time I was there it was closed (and the staff said "uh... we dunno why though"), and the time before that, it was under construction and you couldn't pay me to ride a coaster back then anyway... Is it pink or is it orange? You decide.
  14. Dang, I don't live in the UK. No TV cameos for me to see, I guess. But anyway... that's pretty cool!
  15. Oh, whoops. I didn't notice that little thingy over there under my username... NEVERMIND! I can't believe I didn't notice that... I almost asked for the same user title that I already had, in case anyone cares.
  16. Nope. The closest I had was blurred vision on Tatsu's pretzel loop, opening day, 3rd row (YES, I WAITED IN THAT DANG LINE BUT IT WAS WORTH IT).
  17. With such a small credit list, here's the most I can do: 1. Can't remember 1 (not kiddy). Dragon Coaster (Playland Park, NY) 100. ? 200. ? and so on...
  18. Park Visits: SFMM (1 visit) KBF (1 visit) Rye Playland (1 visit) Coasters ridden: Viper (1 ride; new to me) The Riddler's Revenge (1 ride; new to me) Batman: The Ride (1 ride; new to me) Tatsu (1 ride; new to me) Silver Bullet (3 rides; new to me) Boomerang (1 ride; new to me) Montezooma's Revenge (4 rides; new to me) Ghostrider (1 ride; new to me) Jaguar! (2 rides) Superflight (1 ride; new to me) Dragon Coaster (5 rides) Crazy Mouse (1 ride; new to me)
  19. ^ I can't help but laugh at that one... Although the situation is still sad, nonetheless.
  20. DragonForce Gorillaz Rage Against the Machine Porcupine Tree The White Stripes The Crystal Method The Chemical Brothers and many many more...
  21. Yup, it was a hoax. According to the site's owner/designer, it was a fake website used to experiment with how much attention he could get by making a mysterious website with little information on it.
  22. 60GB Black iPod... Best Christmas gift EVER!! (I use it all the time, every day) By the way, 40 GB remain, 2391 songs, about 300 photos, 15 videos
  23. Yeah, I think it's a hoax. But it is a bit weird that it has some kind of tracking of its users. I'm gonna wait another 22 minutes and see what happens at the end of the countdown. Also, half the time the page doesn't load for me.
  24. Here's my finalized entry. The one I posted in the other thread was more of a quick job -- this one took a lot more work! Edit: Actually uploaded this one directly; thanks for the note Elissa! It's Taiko Drum Master... Robb Edition!
