  1. Well, I got back from my second (and by far best) visit to Magic Mountain today! Today was about 100 times better than last time, because last time was on Tatsu opening day and it was so crowded that we only got on 4 rides in 12 hours. Anyway, let's cut to the chase of what went on up at the Mountain: Arrival to park: We arrived at about 8:45 AM, and were the first people through the metal detectors and at the gate. When we opened the gate, a few people were ahead of us, but we were generally in the front. Ride 1 - Tatsu: After running a whole lot uphill, we got to Tatsu and waited in the only existant line for the front row. We had to wait for one train, but that took about 5 minutes due to horrid operations in the morning. Great ride -- But not nearly as good as I remember it on opening day -- it seems to run a lot slower than it did then... 9/10 (it was 10/10 on opening day) Ride 2 - Deja Vu: Next, we went down the hill and over to Deja Vu, with a 10-minute wait for row 7. This was the first time I rode it, so I highly underestimated it. This ride is very intense, and quite amazing in my opinion... The first drop is loads of fun/intensity and the rest of the ride isn't too rough at all! I actually enjoyed it more than Tatsu! 10/10 Ride 3 - The Riddler's Revenge: The last time I was at MM, this was the first coaster I ever rode AND LIKED in my life... so going on this brought back memories for me. The wait was about 5 minutes for 5th row. It was running a bit rougher than last time, but is still a great ride. 8.5/10 Ride 4 - Grinder Gearworks: This was the first time I ever rode one of these spinning centrifugal force rides, so I though it was weird. Kind of fun, because it was a walk-on and my friend and I stood on opposite sides to converse which each other during the ride... very weird. 5/10 Ride 5 - Batman: The Ride: Like Riddler's, this was running a bit rougher than I remember (as was everything else in the park for some reason). Wait was about 5 minutes. Aside from a bit of headbanging, I got row 7 and this is still a great ride; although very short... 8/10 Ride 6 - Scream!: This was the first time I rode Scream!, and I found it to be very good. Waited about 2 minutes. Nothing totally special in my opinion, but still a good amount of fun (especially for the short wait it usually has). 8/10 Ride 7 - Colossus: One of the smoother woodies I've been on, but it does have insane jackhammering at the bottom of the 2nd and 3rd drops. Also, we got stuck on the brake run near the end of the ride (not the final one) and I think it may have E-Stopped, because we slammed into the brakes so hard that I almost hit my head on the front of the seat (and my brother actually did). Waited about 10 minutes because someone vomited... 6/10 Ride 8 - Goliath: This was the first coaster with mainly a huge drop and lapbars that I've ever ridden, and I found it to be very good. We waited about 10 minutes. The whole ride is fun, but the helix is pushing it a little and I don't like the tiny restraints much. 8.5/10 Ride 9 - Goldrusher: Waited about 2 minutes. Nothing really too special about this ride, and it's pretty rough... 3/10 Ride 10 - Ninja: Waited about 5 minutes. The only suspended one I've ridden, and I think it's weird but fun. Nothing great, but a good break after the intense Goliath! 6/10 Ride 11 - Superman: The Escape: The left side was running today (not the right), so we decided to ride it. The launch is kind of fun, but the rest of the ride is really mediocre (and too short). 5/10 Lunch: After Superman, we had lunch at the Laughing Dragon Pizza Company. Nice, cool atmosphere, but the food isn't too great. 6/10 Ride 12 - Scream!: After lunch, we decided to go over to the furthest point we would be, then work our way back to Tatsu again. We rode Scream again... and it was pretty good... same wait as last time - 8/10 Rides skipped on the way to Tatsu: Batman (at least 30 minute wait), The Riddler's Revenge (1:30 wait), Deja Vu (2-3 hour wait) Ride 13 - Tatsu: We decided to wait in line and ride Tatsu again. The person at the entrance told us an hour, but it was an hour and a half because it broke down for a while when we were waiting. 9.5/10 Ride 14 - Viper: I didn't ride this because I was exhausted and didn't want any headbanging like last time I tried it. My 2 other guests rode it while I sat out. We then went to the gift shop, where I got a Deja Vu T-Shirt. We got some popcorn and souvenier cup refills, and then left around 5:30. Overall: An awesome day at Magic Mountain - I just wish X was open (I still haven't ridden it!!)... 9/10 That's all, folks! I'll get you next time... Whaddya mean X is closed?! I'm runnin' to it either way! It's back to McDonald's [station] for another ride on Tatsu! Here we are, about to mess with the S. Hehehehehehehe. Don't mess with the S! I've had better pizza... but this was good enough. Ninjas > Pirates Getting ready for Goldrusher/Rough-Transition Coaster Here we are, about to ride OLIA. Dive loops > Vertical loops Who's afraid of the big black bat? Here it is... the ride that got me into all this coaster-loving craziness! Generic photo after a good ride on Tatsu... (I'm in the middle) It's time for the cheesiest opening parade ever!
  2. ^^ Meh... I don't know. Like I said, I'm only going by what the users on RCPro apparently "know".
  3. Wow, sounds like you had fun, Robb! What time did you all get there and get in line to get inside? I should be there tomorrow by 9:15, and if you guys did the same on a Saturday and got on so much in so little time, it shouldn't be too different for me, right? By the way, I plan to ride Tatsu first, then Goliath, Deja Vu, Riddler's, Batman, and so on... good idea? (And no, I don't expect an answer soon because you're still having the party!)
  4. ^ From what I read at RCPro, the computer chip that relays the train's location information isn't working, and it will be closed for at least a week or two... Too bad, I'm going to MM tomorrow!
  5. Ah, okay then... thanks anyway! Oh well... Tatsu it is then!
  6. Hey, my brother went to MM yesterday and said that X was closed. I'll be going on Sunday, and one of the major plans I had was to ride X first. Does anyone working there or with enough knowledge of whats going on know if it may be open by Sunday? I really appreciate any help (as to support good ride-order planning) with this issue... thanks!
  7. Nice TR... Too bad I couldn't be there, but I will be there with you on Sunday!!! Edit: Oh yes... and X better be back open by then... or else vjgx = ANGRY!! Edit 2: According to what I read on RCPro... X WILL BE CLOSED FOR 2 WEEKS!!!
  8. Album: Californication (Bonus Version) Band: Red Hot Chili Peppers Price: $12.99 Tracks: 18 Label: Warner Bros. Records
  9. ^ Yes, I know that. I've already gotten my Tatsu credit and still need to ride X, so X is where I'm heading first. After that I'll be rushing over to Deja Vu, Riddler's, Batman, and so on. Tatsu will be done later when the crowds start to die down.
  10. Definitely Tatsu's seats. They basically are the closest thing to cushions I've ever felt around my whole body on a ride, and you just kinda sink into the weird-shaped seat... Worst: Viper at SFMM... it feels like sitting on a plastic bench, there's no legroom at all whatsoever, and the restraints are like obtrusively annoying pieces of hard rubber that line up right next to your head to bump it during the ride.
  11. X...RUNNING TWO TRAINS?!! It better stay that way for another week (I'm going a week from today)!!
  12. Well, I find coasterfanatics.com to be extremely helpful. Just register and you can add rides to your "ridelist" and rate them too. It makes the coaster-counting process very easy... In fact, if you click my sig, you'll not only see my coaster count, but you'll be directed to the site itself.
  13. , I almost forgot about all the pounding!
  14. I wouldn't be surprised if they're renaming it... I dunno, that's just me. Either way, it doesn't look too good for Flashback...
  15. For me, the best fried chicken and (I think) grilled corn are at Knotts!
  16. I really do like the SF parks I've been to (SFMM only, haha). The coasters are great... they just need to work on the problems of cleaniness and good staff and they could start gettin' up there towards Cedar Fair parks in my opinion...
  17. You're right... why can't we have French Fries and Hot Dog Slices in America? Plus... they're in a CUP!! P.S.: I've actually had a sliced hot dog and french fries before... so I know what that tastes like (nothing special)!
  18. 1. Have fun! 2. Is it just me, or is your facial expression EXACTLY the same in both pictures? Edit: Nope, you're grinning more in the first one.
  19. Besides the obvious stuff: iPod PC Hard Drive, RAM, and Graphics Card
  20. As long as I can convince my parents of your sanity and safekeeping of participants, I MAY be able to try getting on the Midwest trip. It sounds fun, and it's also at a time that may be open to me. I'll be sure to keep my eye out for further info. Oh yeah, and to everyone who keeps post questions without reading the first page... you should PROBABLY read it first (make things easier on R&E)!!
  21. ^ Well, good luck with that. Tatsu is a lot of fun... I hope you can get on this time!
  22. Cool, it looks like you had a lot of fun! I can't wait until I go back to SFMM in late August!
  23. Well... it's mainly #1 and #4! Ah, I shouldn't have posted that anyway...
  24. I wish I could come, but alas, I'm not... for a few reasons: 1. My parents don't trust you guys... too many freaks on the internet (I trust you, though... I THINK. Wait, no. ) 2. I WILL be at SFMM on that Sunday or a few weeks later, but I absolutely refuse to go on a Saturday after what happened last time!! 3. I don't really trust you guys, especially after all the UK Trip weirdness! 4. I don't feel comfortable going to other peoples' homes... I'm one of the shyest guys I know... 5. You already have enough people to deal with... and it's nice enough that you're accomadating so many!! So yeah... to anyone who goes -- Have fun!!
  25. You don't wanna know how many times I've heard someone say "SFMM IS CLOSING SOON!!!" as if it was definite... it really gets on my nerves!
