  1. Only if you consider 38mph fast.... You can find facts about all of the roller coasters at SFGAdv here (where it says "Existing Roller Coasters"). Does inversions mean flips? Yes. An inversion is any part of a coaster in which you go upside-down. I saw once on a television show a roller coaster that not only flipped 360 but it twisted on its sides too. Do you know what this is? Are you talking about http://pictures.rcdb.com/picmax/six-flags-magic-mountain/riddlers-revenge10.jpg? That's basically a half-loop into a twist, but I'm not sure what it's called... I'm still kinda n00bish. By the way, the coaster in that picture was my second big coaster ever. It's The Riddler's Revenge at Six Flags Magic Mountain, and it's an awesome coaster where you stand up with your behind resting on a small cushion for support. Lots of fun.

  3. My avatar can easily count as a random/funny picture, can't it?
  4. Wow, that was unexpected... I'd never expect a Motorcycle-themed coaster, but I must admit it looks pretty cool (and fun)!
  5. Visited- SFMM Possible in the future - KBF, SFDL, Rye Playland Possible but unlikely - SFGAdv, DLR/DCA
  6. People in Japan - Clap for T-Rex; Hate the drop People in America - Scream at T-Rex; Love the Drop I guess things even out. (idea taken from Stitch )
  7. Ah yes, another person new to roller coasters. Just like I was just a few weeks ago! Now, being a new roller coaster enthusiast myself, I know exactly how you feel... and I must tell you that there's NOTHING to worry about. Height, restraints, speed; all of these factors make no difference to me anymore. The only real time that you'll ever be scared of skimpier restraints is before you get on a big ride with them (Nitro for example). Once you're going (after or during the first drop), you won't even be thinking about them. Obviously with Kingda Ka (the 456 ft/128 mph one), no one is making you ride it. But if you do get to ride other coasters before it, you WILL be craving the more intense stuff. Also, if you're afraid of the Superman flying ride, just be happy that you're not going on the flying coaster at my home park (Six Flags Magic Mountain in California), Tatsu. It's a recently opened attraction that is much much more intense than that Superman ride, especially in being forceful and insane. Even so, I've ridden it, and it's AWESOME (in other words, ride Superman)! All in all, I MUST assure you that you will ONLY be afraid of the rides BEFORE you're on them. Once you're going (and after the ride), you won't be scared one bit of it. Just pure, insane, blissful fun and a great adrenaline rush. Trust me. Unless you have a severe diagnosed phobia of speed or heights, you'll love it. You'll be just fine. Have a great time! - ..:[vjgx]:..

  11. I can FINALLY watch Rocko's Modern Life again! THANK YOU for pointing this out! Speaking of which, there's a Wikipedia article which points out the various abundance of sexual innuendos in Rocko's Modern Life... it's actually very interesting. Most parents would never notice...
  12. Yes. And NO, it doesn't! I didn't buy my iPod to be "cool" or anything -- I bought it because of the ease of use, and such. My previous music players were very poorly made, and the iPod blows both of them away. Don't generalize, please. Anyway... Have you ever heard of The Raconteurs?
  13. "The Call of Ktulu" by Metallica (I need a headbanging smilie!... and not the Vekoma one... I mean the GOOD headbanging)
  14. Last coaster ridden on May 13, 2006 at 11:49 PM: Tatsu... Fly at the Speed of FEAR! "Heading out of the pretzel roll... all these people are having their eyeballs smooshed back into their heads." (reminds me of when I experienced that) Source: Westcoaster.com
