  1. 2004 Honda Element. Roomy, with rubber floors, perfect for eating in. Also, great sound system that I can play my iPod through! It's an SUV that I don't want to call an SUV.
  2. I own two iPods, both have been replaced under warranty once: - 4th Generation 40 GB, monochrome screen. November 25?, 2004. - 1st Gen nano, black, 4GB. Dec 26, 2005 I'm waiting for the iPhone to come out and/or the first stand-alone widescreen iPod before I "replace" one of them.
  3. I'm not really into horror films or Halloween stuff, but I love The Shining! After all, the Simpsons parodied it!
  4. I think of myself as 50%-75% straight. I'm not afraid to comment on or take a good look at a good-looking handsome man. I like to spend time with other guys, but not for any such "close relationship." And if I decide to go that way, it probably wont be involving that "Girly Man" stuff. I'm into watching sports like football, baseball, hockey, pizza, junk food, beer. I've spent a lot of time in malls, but not really for the shopping part. Honestly, I've never really dated ANYONE. The last time I spent time with a girl (non-related) personally was at a hockey game a decade ago in high school.
  5. Cincinnati 92.5 The Fox - Bob & Tom in the morning, Classic Rock all day. Probably the one FM station I listen to most. 96.5 Supertalk - Glenn Beck 10am-Noon, Andy Furman sports 4-7 p 97.3 The Wolf - Country, used to be alternative rock K99.1 (Dayton) - Country - they have 50 consecutive minutes of music without commercials B-105.1- Country - They've been around a long time here Rebel 105.9 (Middletown) - Country 550 WKRC - Rush, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin 700 WLW - local talk and sports, like Bill Cunningham, Jim Scott, and Reds baseball "Brennamania!" I used to listen to 102.7 WEBN a lot, but they dropped a lot of their good classic rock, and IMO shortened their library greatly, replacing it with a lot of not-so-good recent pop rock.
  6. Wendy's - Has good food and the fastest drive-thru service. But it can get bland if I eat it too often. McDonald's - THE place to go when I need a good hot breakfast FAST. They're OK at other times, though their speed has been a bit inconsistent. Arby's - There's something weird about me because I like it so much. The location close to home can be a bit slow, but it's different. Plus my cat likes their roast beef! Jack in the Box - Good food, plus breakfast at any hour! Sadly, the nearest location to me is in metro St. Louis. Burger King - Good flame broiled burgers, but the fries aren't that great, and they're not so fast. And sometimes their service has been crappy. Several of their locations near me have closed down in the past several years, but I still don't have to go too far for a BK hankering (not very often) Captain D's - Skimpy fish, I don't find much reason to go back there. Long John Silver's Better than D's, more food for the money I guess, but loaded with fat and grease. Steak 'n Shake They don't want to be known as fast food, but the drive through comes in handy! Great steakburgers, shakes, and thin but tasty fries. Taco Bell Another unpopular favorite, but they seem to be great value for the money.[/b]
  7. "I'm so hungry I could eat at Arby's!" - Sherri or Terri from "Das Bus"
  8. There would be MANY commercials for Cincinnati area businesses that take the cake. Time Warner Cable here has a sh*tload of ANNOYING commercials loaded with bouncing and exploding text, lame covers of famous songs, and sometimes presented in what I consdier to be the tackiest font around... National commercials: The Garmin commercials that aired around Christmas time "Give a-give a-give a-give a-Garmin..."
  9. I think a great song for Kings Island's Firehawk would be "Icarus (Borne on Wings of Steel)" by Kansas.
  10. I've been a classic rock fan for over a decade, especially 1970s stuff. However I've been getting into country as of late. Compared to many of the contempoary popular forms of music, this stuff is actually good!
  11. Jim Gaffigan, for his escalator and Hot Pockets jokes Rodney Carrington Will Ferrell Darrell Hammond Tim Allen Jay Leno (saw live Oct 2004) Also, I saw Tim Cavanagh last September. He's "The One Minute Song Guy" on The Bob & Tom Show, known for "The Piston Song" and "The Bible Factory Outlet". Tim Cavanagh and I, 9/2006
  12. Rodney Atkins and Trace Adkins at Cincinnati Gardens in February.
  13. The MAXX pass gets you into all Cedar Fair ride amusement parks, including the "free" waterparks (Wildwater Kingdom, Boomerang Bay...). It does NOT include separately gated water parks (Soak City, Oceans of Fun). However, you can buy a MAXX Plus pass for access to these water parks.
  14. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
  15. I've met ESPN announcer Dick Vitale, talk show host Sean Hannity, former NFL player Esera Tuaolo, Reds announcers Marty and Thom Brennaman, talk show host Glenn Beck, Bengals linebacker David Pollack, and comedian Tim Cavanagh. In 1992, I met Ray Combs, comedian and Family Feud host, a few years before his death. I've also been near Colts QB Peyton Manning at a speaking engagement, UFC fighter Rich Franklin at a minor league hockey game, former American Idol contestants Mario Vasquez and Josh Gracin, and country singer Jason Aldean at a recent concert. And I sat not too far from the stage where Jay Leno was doing stand-up at an area university.
  16. One last installment... enjoy! ...But the last photo just isn't as cool as this one. I never managed to go to the Eiffel Tower. No, this isn't Son of Beast, though some here wish this is what SOB looks like in the next few years. Thanks for checking out my report! The Passenger Pick-up/Drop-off area is now lined with these snazzy new CFEC Flags! Paramount doesn't feel too wanted anymore... Many of the park signs have changed, but oddly enough, not the BIG one. (Look closely...)
  17. More KI Fun... Vortex was testing. Happy 20th Anniversary! FIREHAWK, formerly located at Geauga Lake, then the Kings Island parking lot, is just about a month away from running again. A nice semi-panoramic shot from the vast parking lot... Cedar Fair must not like chain-link fence as much as Paramount did... One last look back, with the flag at half staff in memory of those lives lost at Virginia Tech. HUH? WHAT? WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE PARK YOU SAY?! The new (blank) Cedar Fair style Park Information sign is in place. And something else for you Vekoma lovers... Kings Island. The Official Theme Park of the 7 1/2 Floor. Ahh... the infamous photo-less season pass... now MINE! The Season Pass Processing Center is a part of (P)KI history...
  18. Kings Island may open in just two days, but why wait that long? Starting last weekend, Kings Island opened up their Season Pass Processing Center to allow people to buy and process their passes, while beating the crowds that are anticipated on Opening Saturday. So yesterday (Wednesday) I went up to get my Cedar Fair MAXX Pass, and also decided to document the changes at the front for you all. The park hasn't even opened yet. A guest has yet to step onto a ride. And yet, somebodby has already managed to puke at Kings Island! A good amount of people came out to buy/exchange/and process their season passes. A Supervisor dressed the in Cedar Fair was avaiable to answer questions and direct people the right way. Paramount?! It may be Cedar Faiir's park now, but you will still pay Hollywood prices ($3.00)! Let's go get our passes made! OK, I get it now... They killed off Paramount! Take note, Kings Dominion! This probably looks different... The big sign above the front gate sure looks weird... Kings Island. Also known as Cedar Point South! Same prices, new attitude. But the park wasn't operating, so neither were tolls.
  19. I've been waiting a couple months to hear from one of the schools that I applied to for Master of Architecture programs. Today, I learned that school apparently (lost) my application, even though I sent it in and paid the fee.
  20. Regardless of price, I would get the pass at the park I am going to visit the most. Before the Paramount merger, I would buy my Cedar Fair pass through Cedar Point because I went there the most because of the Joe Cool Club, which is not offered through any other then-CF-owned park. Now, I will get my MAXX Pass through Kings Island simply because I will go to KI most, even more than I will Cedar Point. If I want to get in early at CP, then I will have to stay at Breakers Express or another CP resort, to take advantage of Gold Pass Perks at KI (parking area, early rides, walk-on pass days, etc.).
  21. I just got back from my trip there, and I was overall impressed! Music and characters prior to park opening, good friendly staff including the security, fast pass processing (I bought mine online). T2 was closed because of the construction of Deluge, the water coaster, in which the first pieces of flume were set in place today. Twisted Twins was also closed today; they hoped to get it open around 3 PM, but couldn't because of the cooler temperatures. Low Point: Thunder Run was very rough, except in the front seat. Still suffers from slow loading times, even though attendance was light. High Point: Chang was running very well, and looks wonderful after last year's badly needed and better looking paint job! While I'm badly anticipating the opening of Kings Island on Saturday the 21st, SFKK was a wonderful way to start off the coaster riding season! I will post a longer trip report soon...
  22. Chang at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom today! The 4-plus coaster riding hiatus is finally over!
  23. I've got some right-of-center views, but honestly, this doesn't bother me. It's a private corporation doing this, not a government or a church.
  24. Nice Photos!! I'm hoping to go on Monday, when the temperatures are supposed to be a little warmer. I hoped to go Friday, but it was a bit too nippy for me to drive two hours just for some coasters.
