Calif. interchange collapses after fire.

This makes mass transit in the Bay Area much more enticing. If your city doesn't have some sort of rapid transit, and something like this happens... good luck. -
TR: Kings Island - 4/22/07
CoastersNSich replied to coasterville's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
A Great TR as always... I had the privilege to run into you and RideMan both on the 22nd and 29th (tonight). I did spot the ACE plaque tonight, still saying "Paramount's Kings Island Salutes ACE members". Also while we're on International Street, I notice how the Royal Fountain has more schemes than before. I also like the change in music; I might be in the minority, but I didn't care for the movie themes that much. The pop/soft rock seems more soothing. -
Neat photos, I sure like that idea of the American Eagle queue equipped for easier re-rides, as it was something I liked to ride several times during my last trip there in '2004. The big stickers on the trashcans may seem a little tacky, but likewise "mean business." SFKK has no-smoking symbols on their trash cans, and would be a nice idea for some Cedar Fair parks too since... Begin Rant... Kings Island still has issues with its smoking enforcement. I'd see employees walk past or see smokers walk past them, doing nothing, just either staring into space or in their subconcious world. End of Rant.

Where's the one that says "My name is Glenn Beck?" I'm talking about a guy who calls himself a conservative, but wears pastel and pink colors for ties and shirts, and has occasionally shouted "I NEED a gay man NOW!!!"

I guess you probably haven't seen Gilbert Gottfried do the voice-over for this commercial on the Tonight Show: "Head On, apply directly to the forehead!! Head On, apply directly to the forehead!! Head On, apply directly to the forehead!! SON OF A BITCH!!!"

You may remember "Hottest Man In The World," where I shamelessly nominated Channing Tatum... http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20159 But, like with some of the "Best" coaster topics, let's go for the antithesis: Who is one of the ugliest men/women around? I nominate former Temple University basketball coacch John Chaney:

What is your favorite TV-series?
CoastersNSich replied to Hattuchili's topic in Random, Random, Random
I CAN"T miss The Simpsons, American Idol, or Deal or No Deal. I've also enjoyed The Apprentice, Family Guy, The OC, and South Park. I've been wanting to see Prison Break, but haven't made the effort to watch it. -
I should add Sheryl Crow, in reference to "people should only use one square of toilet paper." When is the last time she took a dump? I did an hour ago. TEN squares sounds conservative to me.

Best Arrow Suspended Coaster

Big Bad Wolf: it has the speed and action of KI's Top Gun, but much longer, and with better scenery, themed and natural. -
Steve Stifler: Hey, Kev, seen Sh*tbreak lately? Kevin: Why? What did you do to him? Steve Stifler: Me? Nothing. I'm the one who ass he kicked. But uh... I'll tell you one thing... I don't think he's gonna have a problem sh*tting in school anymore. Slipped a little something into his Moccachino. [shows a jar of laxatives]

In order from most to least favorite Football - Love watching high school, college, NFL and Arena. Baseball - The "Great American" game. Hockey - Not as passionate about it as I once was, but I sure do enjoy seeing the NHL when I can. Basketball - I'm more into the college and high school games. I've never been to an NBA game. Soccer - It might seem slow and boring to us, but people in other nations seem to love it, and I'm starting to like it even more. Auto Racing - Mother's an Indiana native, so I have a little preference for IndyCar Golf Tennis

Looping Star, Beech Bend Hurler, Kings Dominion (2004) Mean Streak, Cedar Point (2003) There's more I could include, but some of them depend on where you're sitting.

Geauga Lake Marketing 2007
CoastersNSich replied to RollerC's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
They must be the first park to use an old Sears slogan. Just kidding! It's Kings Island. (Where else?) -
I had two slices of LaRosa's at the Rivertown location at Kings Island today. Loaded with pepperoni and sausage, I don't think it's too bad for $6.

Because I was in the area Friday afternoon, I decided to make a stop at the park for a little bit... - An even LONGER line for Season Pass sales and processing than on Wednesday. I guess that word did get around for people to beat the crowds, even though it created a small crowd this time. - MORE of the trash cans have been labeled with the Cedar Point stickers. - New signs placed on the Group Sales and Season Pass/Ticket Sales buildings. - The big blue "important information" signs are complete, but don't have a space for ride closures. Will they use an electronic message board for this instead? - There is a big sign for the Great Wolf Lodge as you head to the North Parking Lot. Right in front where they put the wood fencing in the premier parking area is the pathway to the Great Wolf Lodge. If I had to guess, there is no shuttle service to the lodge, just a dedicated pathway connecting GWL with KI. Rather than having me post the photos now, I'll post later, along with what's new and different INSIDE the park!

The "Post Your Favorite Family Guy Quotes" Game!
CoastersNSich replied to robbalvey's topic in Random, Random, Random
What Robb said in the original post. "Like that time I out-farted Michael Moore" I assume that Peter out-shat Moore, too... Also, "Ah, pooping, the poor man's ejaculating." -Peter -
- LaRosa's pizza at Kings Island. It may be on the skimpy side, but the sauce is the best! If I want more than what KI serves, then I can just go to my neighborhood LaRosa's! - Holiday World. Not only does it taste good, but it's a nice value: two big slices and fries for around $5.

Rosie O'Donnell Chris Rock (he might be funny, but something turns me off...) Terrell Owens Britney Spears Tom Cruise Chad Johnson (he's just given a bit too much publicity) Kanye West (George Bush doesn't care about black people?!) Al Franken Gwen Stefani (ooh, this my sh*t) Kevin Federline Eminem Rappers, probably excluding Will Smith P. Diddy Kid Rock This list is surely to grow/shrink...

Favorite Coaster at Cedar Point?
CoastersNSich replied to pkdcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
"Well, actually, he forgot Gemini!" -
I voted for Cedar Point, because of that great peninsula setting. But I can't think of just one to name... - Busch Gardens Europe, that beautiful river/lake that runs through. - Beech Bend, being on a farm setting - Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. I admit I like it because of the city setting, with the Expo Center next door, and views of the Papa John's stadium, Churchill Downs, and Downtown Louisville.

What's the worst song you ever heard?...
CoastersNSich replied to Movieguy's topic in Random, Random, Random
"Who Let the Dogs Out?" by Baha Men. It's so bad that the multimedia guy at the Reds' ball park refused/refuses to play it.
