  1. Cool video. Nice to get a little of the inside scoop on how the ride came about, etc.
  2. Yup....I agree with you there, plus attendance at SFoT was always quite a bit more than SFAW had. They really need to make some changes in management and clean house at SFoT. It seems that SFoT is turning into the SFMM of Texas when it comes to hospitality.
  3. Great Photo TR. Like the pics of Disney and California Adventure the best. It's been years since I've been to those parks during Christmas time. Makes me want to go back.
  4. Makes me wonder WTF is going on with the management at this park. But then again it reminds me of the last 7-8 years that SFAW was open.
  5. Six Flags has totally gone insane with the parking. Definitely makes sense to have the Gold Pass and have it included.
  6. Nice pics. Looking forward to seeing the rest of them.
  7. RoadRunner Express at SFFT is probably the best Arrow Mine train I've ridden. I liked the one King's Island as well.
  8. ^^ I will agree with that totally. River King Mine Train has got to be the most boring Mine train I've ever been on and didn't make sense.
  9. I'd say Riddler's Revenge is the funnest stand up I've ridden. Mantis wasn't bad and I rode it multiple times in a row with no problems. Iron Wolf and Batman the Escape were the two rougher stand ups I've ridden in my time but they were still fun. Just gotta learn how to get the restraint set properly so it doesn't hurt your junk.
  10. Ughh that first drop looks so sick!!! I'll need to get my passport to go down to Mexico next year!
  11. I agree!!! It's high time Houston gets a big amusement park.
  12. Awesome pics of your trip. Love the pics of AZ but the Sea World pics were absolutely amazing.
  13. Yup....they probably won't start construction for another few months on the coaster but at least the other rides are getting some sprucing up. Boomerang at SFStL should never have taken as long as it did to put up so I'm thinking a Memorial Day weekend opening for Ragin' Cajun.
  14. Nice Photo TR of your trip, Woodie Warrior. The only feedback I would give would be "focus". I believe this is the first TR I've seen you post so not bad if it was your first one.
  15. Since I don't have a home park that I can claim here In Phoenix, I'm just going to claim my old home park. SFFT-I'd like to see a new wooden coaster, maybe in the BoardWalk area of the park or maybe a Vekoma Suspended coaster like Freedom Flyer at Fun Spot in Orlando. A coaster like Dare Devil Dive would be cool as well.
  16. Great pics!! There's one pic in there of KidTums coming down the slide that is too cute!
  17. I think SFMM is just going to go basic and call this new one "Kiddee Coaster" considering they haven't named it yet.....why not go with the obvious.
  18. I agree. As long as the park is getting spruced up and fixed, the park is going to look great. Seeing SBNO attractions in parks that have not been removed is a big pet peeve of mine. Hopefully SFStL will continue the upward trend.
  19. Correct..... Premier acquired the the park mid 1998 which is why I posted what I did. Mid 1998 is when they added frisbee and the top spin.
  20. Correct....the Giovanola coaster at SFFT was supposed to be a hyper going from behind the Flags Mercado in Los Festivales across and over what is now the Texas shaped wave pool and the newer expanded part of the water park. John Odum was the new park President back in 1998 when he moved to SFFT from SFStL and he visited a lot with the employees and let us know about some of the parks "visions" for new attractions. The Flags Mercado store was planned on being used as an "exit" store for the new coaster. Plans were scrapped then Red and Blue B&M track began appearing at the park behind Lone Star Lil's Amphitheatre around August 1999 for SKC. That's how I remember it when I was working there from 1996-1999. Also, Frisbee at SFFT was originally installed where Boomerang currently resides in Los Festivales. It was installed summer of 1998 and was called "The Mexican Hat Dance" and the Top Spin called "Der Twister" in Spassburg when Premier bought the Six Flags chain and Fiesta Texas mid season 1998. Once the 1998 season was over, Frisbee was dismantled and Boomerang put up in it's place in 1999 and Frisbee opened up later on in 1999 on the Boardwalk. Boomerang, Poltergeist, Scream, the Texas shaped Wave Pool and water park expansion, and many of the kiddie rides scattered around the park were part of the parks largest expansion project which was $20 million in 1 year. Also in 1999 Scream only opened with two of three working towers. The third tower was converted to operate mid season 1999 so now all three towers run to this date.
  21. Nice TR update of Sea World. I can't wait to go back. I haven't been there since 2008 and can't wait to visit and support Sea World again.
  22. I like getting the emails cause if I don't have time to go browsing through the site, I can at least know what the big updates are.
