  2. Enthusiast??? Lmao. What would you call yourself then??? You’re the one who created this thread and weren’t you just at an “Enthusiast” event this weekend.
  3. Whatever “dude”. I used to work there. I know what was there before the coaster was there. Just because it’s next to the parking lot doesn’t make it a parking lot coaster. Scream at SFMM and Medusa at SFDK are built on an ACTUAL parking lot where six flags didn’t even throw rock down to cover the asphalt or paint over the lines. Now THAT’s a parking lot coaster.
  4. Yup. Those sure look like wooden coaster footers. Maybe something from Rocky Mountain? In other news, Steel Eel received a new paint job. Purple Eel
  5. San Antonio wasn't really affected by Hurricane Harvey. They just got a few inches of rain. Minimal flooding around San Antonio. Harvey made it as far inland as about 70 miles east of San Antonio which accounted for the rain and gusts up to 40mph. It was open for the Labor Day weekend as scheduled.
  6. You know you're at a Six Flags Park if.....all the marketing for their new rides looks like it was created by Kellyanne Conway and backed by Sean Spicer.
  7. You do know their business model, right? There is no way they buy any more than the minimum number of trains. I know of course they won't. The 400 Riders per hour is going to make for a miserable line. Park President Jeffery Seibert confirmed in a Q&A session to Texas Thrillseekers that it'll be A three train operation with continuous moving trains in the station for loading and unloading. They'll make it work. He also stated they are wanting to have the coaster in operation by Spring Break 2018. Sucks that SFStL will probably get screwed over yet again. Okay, well three trains will help, but it's still 3 trains that combined add up to 1 normal train. And count me skeptical that Six Flags gets any new ride running by Spring Break. Considering SFFT wants to get theirs open before CGA, I'm pretty sure they can get it done. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, it should be open mid March. It's not the norm for Six Flags but SFFT isn't the norm either. They've done it before.
  8. According to Park President Jeff S, they plan to have WW-GLC open by around Spring Break 2018. Three train operation continuous moving trains through the station should help a little with capacity.

  10. ^^ Wow that's an awesome lighting package on that ride. Thanks for sharing. Looks pretty much like a newer version of Spinnaker (Enterprise) with open seats vs. enclosed gondolas.
  11. His time is already over... --Robb "Zero tolerance, bitches... zero tolerance..." Alvey Lmao. Gotta love when Robb takes the trash out. And I also agree the DiskO that SFStL is getting is a great investment. The parks need a good assortment of flat rides and that's exactly what they're getting. It's nice to see that Six Flags is committing to invest (however small) in their parks rather than going years without some type of new coaster or flat ride. They're coming out of bankruptcy slowly but surely and working with what they have to work with. It may not be a lot, but it's something. *Glass half full*
  12. I agree. I recall several people complain in various Six Flags park threads about the lack of good flats, etc. Now the parks are getting some really good flats and people are bitching about that. There's more to a park than just roller coasters. Of course some Cedar Fair parks are modeled a little differently but most other parks want to appeal to a larger audience.
  13. Here's a post on Facebook from Jeffery Siebert of SFFT posting a teaser for 2017. Pretty interesting but still makes you wonder. Twister, Tornado, Hurricane. Or are they referring to three flats and one waterpark ride?
  14. It works fine from my FireFox browser. It plays on the TPR forum page and doesn't need to open a different YouTube screen.
  15. Just because it's gotten some track replaced doesn't mean anything. Rattler at SFFT had track replaced the year before as well as some RMC topper track installed on it and look what happened. I guess my point is you never know. true, but SFA would've announced that they were closing roar by now Good point. Touche! hehe

  17. I know SKC has a history of vallying during high winds. I believe Iron Rattler has on a few occasions since 2013 as well. I think it's more when there are wind gusts vs just some sustained winds but I don't know. Just guessing on that. I would think SFOT would have the same issues with the high winds here but I guess they don't.
  18. ^^ The reason the park lacks theming is because it's not a theme park.
  19. Usually Goliath, Boomerang, Roadrunner Express, Pandamonium, and IRat are usually guaranteed open. Poltergeist is open as long as it's not too cold out. Once it goes below 45°, Poltergeist goes down. If it's super windy, expect Irat to be closed. Superman isn't open during HiP as far as I can remember. Scream is usually open too. I guess we'll have to see how the new BtR does during HiP. The park is great during HiP. It's not like huge crazy crowds but sometimes it does get pretty busy. Good luck and have a good time.
