There's nothing wrong with that. They obviously did a great job with the new addition. It's funny how people complain their parks don't have enough flats, then they get a cool flat that the GP will like and then people complain it's not good enough. Their only fault is they're calling it a coaster. Get over it. Just be glad they got something this year anyway. The one mistake Six Flags has made is that they've set an expectation that the parks will get something new and huge every year. They can't do that anymore. They're being more careful with their money. -

Nice pics hwfan. It seems like Six Flags is taking a better approach at updating their infrastructure along with putting up their new attractions. The theatre looks amazing with all the new paint and landscaping. I really think we're going to see more good things with Six Flags in the upcoming years. It really looks like they're starting to care about their image again. -

It's seems like all the parks are shooting for next weekend. Haven't seen anything concrete yet. SFFT had theirs yesterday and it was rain or shine........and it rained a lot. Cool thing is that Six Flags seems to be on top of things this year with their new attractions so I'm sure it's coming soon. -

It's in the terms of service and posting rules. I'm not concerned so much about your well being but the fact that you are not following the rules set by Robb is annoying. Once and a while is ok but you have habitually done it on this thread and Carowinds and a few others. It gets annoying. I've posted the TPR posting rules for your reading enjoyment. Postby robbalvey ยป Sun Feb 13, 2005 8:37 pm Theme Park Review Posting Rules! When posting to TPR please try to keep the following in mind: 5. Do not post for posting sake. What does this mean? If all you do is respond back to posts saying "Yeah, me too" or "I agree" or "Thanks!" you are not adding anything to the conversation. If you do this every once in a while, that's ok, but we have users here that seem like all they are doing is trying to post as much as possible to increase their post count. Well, there is no prize for having high post count, so please, only respond if you have something to add to the conversation. 6. Don't be "annoying" - For example, if you see that the "fart thread" has been closed, for reasons like "This was funny for a day, and now it's just stupid" don't start ANOTHER "fart thread." In short, annoying members will end up being banned. 7. Check each forum for specific rules - If there are specific rules in each forum, they will be posted as a "sticky." Please read these for further instructions. For example, in the "Professional Amateur Videographer Forum", unless you are uploading a file, creating new topics is not allowed. Overall, we're not trying to be mean or strict, but the fact is that we now have over 6,000 registered members, and we need to keep the quality of the board at a high level. We don't delete, edit, or close posts very often, but we will have to if these simple rules are not followed. So let's review..... Theme Park Reviews Forum Posting Rules: 1. Be descriptive! 2. Use the search function. 3. Spell check your posts and use proper grammar. 4. Do NOT use "internet shorthand." 5. Do not post for posting sake. 6. Don't be "annoying." 7. Just saw a video posted on YouTube. Looks awesome. Posted the link. Hope that's ok. Some flip more than others. I'm sure they'll be doing some more tweeking before the season pass preview. I heard from one of the media attendees that initially in some tests they were getting as many as 12 flips before they started tweeking the magnetic fins.

I agree. It's a great starter coaster with an inversion for the beginner riders. Once I rode this coaster for the first time, I rode it the rest of the day and decided to ride Greezed Lightning and Ultra Twister that day as well. -

Geez JetScream was a great coaster. Rode it plenty of times when it was Viper at SFAW. this is one of those coasters I wish was still at SFSTL. This was also my first looping coaster so there's that sentimental value as well. I'm really hoping SFSTL gets some type of new coaster soon. (And not that darn Super Loop). -

Wow. Those are some pretty cool pictures. Where in the park was this attraction? And what was it replaced with, if anything? -

I'm curious as well. I'm sure if someone had a picture they would have posted it. Stop with the useless thread bumping already. -
^ No he's not I don't think they'll have a problem syncing up with three train operation. Someone mentioned before that the lifts are variable speeds. Plus, with the added block before the green lift that side will probably take longer than in the animation. Who knows, maybe they'll even use that block to hold the train until the blue side is ready. However this all goes, I think it's only a matter of time before dueling is deemed "too dangerous." As for the video, that top gun stall is the kind of thing I jack off to I'm sure they have something put in place for the station as far as loading and unloading that's going to help them make the transitions (unload train then move forward to load with new passengers so essentially you don't get off the train where you got on).....as well as the variable motors on the lifts.

Agreed. It all depends on where he is leaving from and who he is flying. So say he flew to Austin on American from the east coast depending on where he's leaving he would probably have to hit one of American's hubs (DFW/Chicago/Miami) before he hits Austin. If it's still an "USAir" American flight then he'd go through Philly, Charlotte, or crazy but it happens Phoenix before he gets to Austin. If you leave from a smaller airport depending where it is and who you fly though, you're gonna hit a hub. So yeh....lot's of homework to do before booking. But I would say Bert's idea is great because Austin is centrally located. If you could swing that......go for it.

I couldn't imagine Six Flags letting it spin as much as it is in the video posted on here a little earlier. I'm thinking they're going to adjust it a bit before it opens. I'd say it's going to be a fight between "it doesn't spin enough" vs. "it spins way too much" so I'm looking forward to see how it ends up for opening day.

And lots of what's between 2013 and now was a bunch of bitching about Boomerang and hopes and wishes of an Iron Boss. In any case, the new ride is looking good and the park is looking great. -

When animatronics and theming have gone to S#!T a year after the new attraction opens. -
By looking at the picture it was cut right above the footer but unbolted at the top. More likely there is going to be another support fabricated and installed to replace the old one. Or just like Goliath at SFFT, the bottoms of some of the supports that corroded in water during Hurricane Katrina were cut off and new steel to bolt down to the footers were welded back on before the coaster was put back up at SFFT.
