  1. Very awesome pics! Thanks for the update and pics. what kind of camera did you use?
  2. Titan has the same strong mid course brake like Goliath. Comes pretty much to a complete stop before it continues into the drop off.
  3. I'm sure based on Robb, Elissa, and Kid Tums ride of the prototype that this Batman the Ride will be way better than Green Lantern at SFMM. If that be the case I see SFSTL getting one of these for 2016.
  4. Thanks for the update and the time it took to provide this update. At least this gives people an idea of what goes into making changes around the park. It seems like all the Six Flags parks are doing something to up their image this year and it shows. Keep up the good work.
  5. Here's the pic off of SFFT's Twitter. Batman is completely erect!!!
  6. It's looking great. The raven drops are fun and look like they'll be pretty smooth. In an interview with Jeff that I saw, they're starting to pour the concrete slab for the station so that should be done soon as well. And now the cars are onsite so it'll only be a matter of time before we see them on the track.
  7. As far as the "Go" or "No Go" on whether to open the ride comes from Ops base. If the wind or rain is bad enough, Ops Base makes the call over to the ride ops and let's them know. Their ultimate goal is to open the ride but if there is a strong chance the ride might valley due to high winds (gust) they're going to keep it closed. (The park doesn't want to do an emergency evacuation and of course they don't a PR nightmare either.). When the weather changes in an instant, so will their decision. That's why they open the queue and then all of a sudden call the opening off. Every other theme park chain does this too. Cedar Point in the middle if summer can sometimes be a nightmare due to weather. There were times when I worked the Rattler back in the day where we would open it and then 5 minutes later have to shut it down because of weather. In other news....look at this shot of BTR posted by Jeff Siebert on Facebook.
  8. Nice pics man. Thanks for the update. The GP is totally eating up the "Batman-The Ride" theming. I'm curious to know what kind of renovations are going on at Road Runner Express. The park is gonna look even more amazing when BTR is done and all the landscaping is complete. I can't wait to see testing.
  9. On a side note, does SFFT's Sky Screamer have the LED lighting package that some of the other Sky Screamers do? Sky Screamer at Six Flags Mexico
  10. Just depends on what they're building. Iron Rattler construction started at the end of August 2012 to be ready by Memorial Day 2013. They're shooting for a Memorial Day 2015 opening date so they adjusted the construction schedule to meet their target opening date. Now could they have had it ready by opening weekend, yes. Why didn't they? Cause they want to build up anticipation early in the season and make people come back to ride it. The one thing I was surprised with is that Six Flags Mexico already opened Sky Screamer.
  11. Nice pics. Thanks for the update. Nice to see the slow down is gone for now. We'll see if it's back for the summer.
  12. Next week is the main weekend for Spring Break for many San Antonio and south Texas schools. It's going to be pretty busy. I would recommend being at the park for opening. I never have done Flash pass in the past but it's something I would consider especially if most of the coasters are 1 train operations. Have fun and take pictures! We would like to see them posted.
  13. Looks like the bottom part is complete and they're working their way up.
  14. Hurricane Katrina made landfall in New Orleans August 29, 2005. Aside from that did you really need to create a separate thread to make your statement? How is this a 10 year anniversary? it's Feb 25th 2015 now. . so still ~6months away. Don't quote me....I just corrected thatGuyfrom Tennesee's error on the date. LOL He had started a new thread "aka: Re: Six Flags New Orleans - 10 Years since Death." so a moderator combined the threads. In any case, the park needs to be torn down.
  15. I understand the dislike of it not having theming since bizzaro got it but I enjoy Scream itself as a ride. I've had my fill of the Scream theme debate though so now i try to ignore it. I wasn't talking about the theming between the two coasters, I was just wondering why Scream isn't as well liked as it's East coast counterpart when it's a mirror image of the original.
  16. Here's a pic that Jeff Siebert posted on Facebook today.

  18. I never understood the strong dislike of Scream either. Isn't it a mirror of Medusa (Bizzaro) at Sfgadv? Is there the same dislike for the east coast version?
  19. Nice! Thanks for posting. Batman will be fully erect in no time!
  20. Awesome update and great pictures. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to more updates.
  21. New pic from SFFT's Facebook page. Looks like it's going to be in a great place for off ride photos.
  22. More construction pics from the SFFT Facebook page. Looks like some huge footers. Chadster mentioned back in December that vertical construction would take about a month so looks like Batman will be fully erect by mid to late March depending on when it starts going up.
  23. Another foundation pic from Jeff Siebert.
