  1. Had the guy been fat and trashy with a family in tow, this wouldn't have happened.
  2. I couldn't find it on Travel Channel's website. I'm sure they'll be showing reruns.
  3. Maybe just in time for Fright Fest. Anyone know how long they've been keeping the backwards train on the other BTR's?
  4. The park looks amazing. Hope Henderson/las Vegas embrace this place cause it's totally top notch!
  5. What an amazing water park!!! Congratulations Shane and the rest of the staff. Best wishes on your Grand Opening on Friday!
  6. Oh send it to SFStL so people in the SFStL thread can stop complaint they don't have a big coaster!
  7. I don't think anyone was stupid enough to think it was gonna stay that way. Just a bit disappointed that SFA decided to open the ride like that.
  8. Just go. You should be fine. The price you paid for the ticket is based on the date you selected on the calendar. Weekdays get $20 discount and Weekends get a $17 discount.
  9. Seriously Sux Flags? I guess they were going for a post Katrina look.
  10. ^^ Yup I agree. Lots of different slides and a wave pool like no other. I hope they keep expanding over the next few years.
  11. Here a few water park pics that were posted on Kens5 news.
  12. I totally agree. If you want to be the Coaster Capital of the World, you better be able to operate like one. Unfortunately that's Six Flags shortcoming. IMHO they would probably be doing better if they had dropped the coaster capital gimmick and worked with what they have and work on infrastructure and guest experience.
  13. Looks like a great addition to the White Water Bay. Picture was tweeted by SFFT. I saw it being built last month when I was in San Antonio and adds to the park skyline closest to the parking lot.
  14. I'm going to Arizona for a wedding in April next year. I take it there are no good themeparks near Phoenix? There is an amusement park called Castles and Coasters that has like 2 roller coasters and a flume ride and a drop tower. Nothing major. We do have a Wet n Wild in North Phoenix and there are a few other water parks in Mesa and Tempe. The closest thing to a GOOD coaster fix is Los Angeles.
  15. Sorry to hear about your loss. The great thing is you have albums of pictures and your own memories of him. Hope you find the pic and post for us. The grieving process truly difficult to deal with. Last year I lost my dad on July 21st and my grandmother (paternal) 4 days later. We're coming upon a year already and it hasn't gotten any easier for me. I will say I'm glad for the memories and for all the pictures we have. He still lives in each of us. Finally after his passing, I just came out to my mother for the first time.(I'm 37 and mom is 69 and after about 5 vodka/red bulls) I cried so much and all she said was "why hadn't you told me a long time ago? I would have understood and still love you as much as I do now!" I was like great so "Happy Mothers Day"!!! It was the best feeling in the world. And then she says "See, you got all drunk for nothing!" I'm just glad I haven't lost any great people in my life because I'm gay.....if anything more straight people at work who want to be my friend because they love who I am. *side note* Anyone coasting for kids who plays for the rainbow team that needs help, let me know. (I know that sounds stupid but I connect better with us gays than I do the straight world*
  16. This coaster just looks absolutely amazing. Makes me hate living in Phoenix even more!!!
  17. Amazing TR, Chad!!! Very nice photos and reading content. Great to hear that the park is off to a great start and they are really committed to providing a great experience to their guests. One question I have is about Mile High Falls. You mentioned Six Flags didn't think it could be saved? Is it just like a Shoot the Chutes ride or a log flume? I've never been to the park so not sure what kind of ride it is. What was wrong with it?
  18. Bahama Blaster getting ready for this weekend. Nice addition to the water park. Tweeted from SFFT.
  19. It would be cool to see where other Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks are as far as their attendance.
  20. Honestly, when I was there for the season pass preview, the surrounding area was mostly the same. Although the ride does look spectacular (as well as the old Hannibarrel benches), there's still out of place facades that look ugly, and the shops on the other side are still old western themed. I guess that Tsunami Soaker has brought more life into that area, it still feels incoherent and a bit uncomplete. I was just wanting to see what the new area looks like around the new ride. Haven't been to the park in a long time.
  21. Any pics of all the improvements and tsunami soaker area???
