Ok, you may cringe, freak out, then laugh your butt off. (This was my reaction...) NBC6 Miami reporter starts with... "Ok now this next story is quite distrubing, so you may want to leave the room for a second..." The story, a 400 pound man was cremated. The fat content in his body liquified, and started a grease fire, and burned down the funeral parlor. Now, it's strange that, this sounds too funny to be true. I cannot find anything about this on the internet. Could NBC6 Miami been duped? Wouldn't be the 1st time the media was burned! Disgutingly histerical, none the less.

Photo TR: Beemer's weeklong trip back home to Florida...

Wow, I missed this one... here's some comments on the Fort Lauderdale section of your report.... This is my former employer. I hope you didn't eat at this location, the desserts are a week old there. This isn't the only location, there is another just west of the beach on Oakland Park Blvd. And yes, it's JUST LIKE the one in Pittsburgh, For I am a Pittsburgher, and a Fort Lauderdalian! Actually, these aren't the best hoagies/subs in town, but they are good. Good report! -

Wait a minute. Though not as extreme, wasn't Fiesta Texas Rattler's 1st drop a twisting drop? -

Gotta love at how many say they'd do it, but half of them would chicken out once the thing was crawling on their hand. I've eaten one of these things, live, and I can honestly say, NOT worth a roller coaster ride. It was, however, worth the $1000 I won for eating it. It DOES NOT taste like chicken. LOL

OMG! Ye looks very different! ARG!

Best Dark Roller Coaster?
DenDen replied to drewelap's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Lightning Bolt v.1 @ MGM Grande Adventures was THE dark coaster! Totally superior to today's standards. -
^ ARG! I meant last year! LOL

You trimmed!?!?!?!? We wanna see! LOL Wow, just seems like yesterday someone brought up this very subject here on the tpr forums.

I love publix also! ANYWAY, we have a Skyline Chili restaurant down the street, it's actually VERY good. I'm sure the frozen crap doesn't do it justice.

I am totally freaked out! Where did they get the western girl for the commercial, and why did she do it? LOL

I'm a Plimpton fan, so the video was cool. But as for the song itself, I think it has a deeper meaning than what you think. Wierd Al publically criticized the RIAA and iTunes, for ripping off artists by not paying them the fair share for each download. It was all over the headlines about a month ago. Granted the song talks about file sharing sites, but that's more funny than itunes, and he certainly can't bite the hand that feeds him, even if it isn't enough. He also tells you "You belong at the record store", and "go buy the CD" because he claimes artists make more money from a CD sale. I'm not that thrilled about the song either, I think he could have done better.

I remember when Huss started pushing these things. It was like they wanted to seek a thrill audience for a family type ride. It looked really impressive on paper, but once you saw or rode it, it was obvious that this was one of those over-hyped rides. -

What is it with this thing... Someone educate me on this. Is this not the second steel coaster under the S&S-Arrow name, and the second coaster with one of these things? What exactly is it? -

It's the DOA in many states that's responsible for ride inspections. Not sure about the history behind how the DOA got responsibility for this, but I think it has to do with the fact that in ancient times (cough) instead of creating a new government office, they picked one that had experience in large machinery. (ie. farm equipment.) -

I only have one thing to say.... OMG CHOLESTEROL! -
For as easy as this sounds, it's VERY difficult to do. When parents are crazy enough to send their kids to these kinds of places, they're also crazy enough to have PI's and spies on their kids as well.

First, sorry I'm late, if I repeat anything said earlier in this thread, I'm sorry. 10 Pages is a lot. LOL ANYWAY... I sort of know a LOT about these camps. (I know a few who have attended them, and one has fought and exposed them on national television for what they really are! I am also an openly gay Christian.) They are downright dangerous. Suicide rates of people attending these camps are extremely high, and the ones who survive that have mental problems later in life. These camps are not about religion, or even the well being of their attendees, they're about prejudice and money. It's easier to hate and sweep problems under a rug while making money at it, than it is to love and accept. These camps choose the easy way, playing on the fears of parents who don't truly love their own children, and are more worried about their reputation at Sunday services. Comparing this to a concentration camp is a tad off. I'd call it a mental ward run by untrained staff, prescription drugs, and stun guns.
