I love those plastic mold animal machines! I remember the exact smell of the things that came from them! -

What a cool park! Thanks for the trip report, seems like you guys had a great time. Is there Freefall-like ride working? I thought those were all gone. -
Went to Target tonight to get some boots and ended up with this game! I have finished my employment with Tom and now I am trying to figure out what to do next so I can get my code! It is hard for me to move around, I think my wiimotes need to be resynched or something. BTW-My person is so cute and she has a little red flower in her pink hair!

Excellent review of The Dark Knight, I felt exactly the same way. It bothered me all the hero worship that went on with Heath Ledger and I firmly believe that the movie would not have been as popular had Heath not died.

Cruising with Theme Park Review 2008!
nursemelis374 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, how fun for you guys! My friend and I did the Freedom of the Seas in April and it was one of the best vacations I ever took! We did the ziplining in Jamaica and a daylong swim with stingrays/lay on best beach ever thing. Oh yeah, the martini class was the best 10 dollars I ever spent! -

I am always happy to see a park trying something new, no matter who it is geared to or how big or small it is, and this looks like a great holiday addition to USH. I will be interested to see what the tram tour part will be like. Thanks for bringing us the update so fast! -

Great Trip Report! I must say the level of detailing at HHn continues to impress me. I am a nurse and I love the 'nurse' selling the drinks in mini-IV bags and even carting them around on a makeshift IV pole! Fabulous! -

Great TR! I am very jealous of how empty it was! I am dying to get to Dollywood, both because it looks like a great park and because I am a huge Dolly Parton fan! Seems like despite the weather this would be a good time of year to plan a trip. Thanks for posting! -

I am still reading! That zipline is awesome. After doing one in Jamaica I want to become a Zipline enthusiast. Love the report!! -
My brother and a friend of his returned to SFMM last Tuesday after more than 10 years of absence. He said they had a great time and the park felt much less ghetto than it did before. His only complaint was the cost of parking but he did say that the cheap admission more than made up for that. On a funny note he told me that they were in line for a coaster and the girls in front of them tried to get on with their cell phones and water bottles. The operator told them they needed to get a locker. They were redundant about getting out of line and paying for a locker so my brother offered to hold it for them and give it to them when they got back. They agreed and him and his friend ended up spending the afternoon with them. My mack daddy little bro (who is 26 and not really little) even ended up getting one of their numbers. So, all you that are asking how do you meet girls, here you go. I think this proves one thing. Jay and his team are not interested in making money of the lockers, but rather helping all you coaster fans out there meet the ladies. You should be thanking them.

Another vote for The Cheesecake Factory. This is one of my favorite places to eat. Love the bread! The portions are very large here and I have frequently been quite full by just sharing a meal and a slice of cheesecake for dinner. Enjoy!

I am director of 95 people and do a lot of hiring in my position. I have probably interviewed 50 people in the last year and work closely with our recruiters (I am a nursing director at a hospital). In fact I just minutes ago finished interviewing someone. I can give 2 bits of advice based solely on mistakes she made: 1. Do not wear open toed shoes. I don't think this will be a problem for you but thought I would throw it in there. It was the first thing I noticed and very unprofessional. 2. Know something about the place you are interviewing at. I asked her what she knew about this place and why she applied here. Her answer was basically that she knew nothing and applied here because there were no open positions near her. I ended up really liking her by the end of the interview but that was a huge no-no in my opinion. Some other things: 3. I think this is the most important. Follow up your online application with a phone call, preferably a call to the person you want to work for. I have 9 open positions right now and get approximately 8-12 applications forwarded to me a day. Someone really stands out and grabs my attention when they call or even send an email. We have an online system and I had a colleague apply and the HR people forgot to send her resume through to the director. If she hadn't called she would never have been hired. 4. Follow all the cliches about interviews and applying. Have a good resume or CV with correct spelling and that has been looked over by at least 3-5 other people. Bring a copy on nice paper with you to the interview. Dress appropriately for the interview, women remember to be modest. I hire people that wear scrubs all day and it is still critical in my mind that they look professional at their interview. 5. I feel a thank you email is fine. I actually would prefer it as it saves paper. Plus it shows me that you know how to use email. 6. Practice interview! Get a friend or mentor and be prepared or at least comfortable answering questions. Be honest when answering questions. 7. Arrive early and let the person know you are here early. If your interview is at 4, arrive by 3:45. It shows you will hopefully do the same for work. 8. Ask your own questions at an interview! I hate when I am doing all the asking and it shows me you are engaged and have thought about this. 9. Do not say anything bad about your previous boss, co-workers or workplace. Last year I interviewed for my current position thinking that I had no chance of getting it, I felt I was too young and inexperienced. I knew I was competing against a lot of people. My current boss and co-workers said that I got the job because I was prepared and intelligent, but also because I wore a suit, pearls and had my hair pulled back; I brought copies for the entire panel of my CV that was on nice resume paper and I got the interview in the first place because my resume was awesome. I had a professional assist me with my CV and cover letter. It is the small things that say so much. GOOD LUCK!!!

This really saddens me as I have grown up loving Knott's. Each year my brother and I got to choose to go to Knott's or Disneyland for the day and I remember it was such a hard decision for us. I can't even imagine that being the case now! I have been craving that chicken, but am seriously doubting even going there. You know what though? If SFMM can turn around, so can Knott's. I just hope they do it before it is beyond repair.

What are the X2 passes? Do you mean the coupon books they give out? My friends and I got our passes in December and picked up the coupon books without problem at WCB. One thing that frustrated me was we had our passes processed in December they told us we could only have one coupon book per order instead of one per pass. This seemed stupid to me. For one, no where on the website did it say that when we were ordering. Also, we were saving everyone work by ordering them together. I decided to not argue at that moment in time and would deal with it when we actually picked up the books. I emailed using the form on the website but received no response. Sure enough when we went to get the coupon books at WCB they gave each of us one with no questions asked. I just wonder if anyone lost out because of what they were told.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall Saw this last night and thought it was a great movie. It was funny and not in the typical romantic-comedy way. It had some unexpected storyline turns that added to the movie. Definitely not a child-friendly movie. I would love to see it again.
