Favorite Dark Ride
jarmor replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
You know what, the funny thing is that in my latest issue of "Roller Coaster!" they have a behind-the-scenes look at blazing fury that shows the track diagram! Jarvis "I guess joining ACE is a good idea!" Morant -
Favorite Dark Ride
jarmor replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I dont know about you guys but im really into dark rides. They are soo much fun and they offerquite a different experience from any other type of ride in a theme/amusement park. But what gets me is why not too many parks still install them? I have been fortunate enough to have gone on some pretty good dark rides like The brand new Treasure Hunt down at myrtle Beach Pavilion (must not moving the park since they just added a new ride! ) which was totally awesome and fun, another one at myrtle beach which is the haunted hotel which I thought was gonna be a tad bit more gruesome but it was still fun none the least, Monster Plantation down at Six Flags over Georgia which is, in my opinion, one of the BEST and original dark rides out there, Blazin' Fury over at Dollywood which has some very funny (and ugly) animatronics and cool effects, Scooby Doo's Haunted Mansion at Paramount's Carowinds is pretty good but it seem a tad bit "generic", Spidey down at IOA is what I would consider the second generation of dark rides and very well done, and of course all the dark rides down at Disney World that basically made disney what it is today! I know im not the only one out there who has that **Special** love for the dark rides out there! Jarvis "who keeps a dark ride count before a coaster count " Morant P.S. If anyone is interested I have footage of the Treasure Hunt at Myrtle Beach and Monster Plantation over at SFoG (also have footage of the haunted hotel at myrtle beach but it was a tad but too dark in there!) -

Winter Fest at PKI and PC
jarmor replied to PkiJake's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I doubt that many rides will be running because I think the park is trying to take you out of the "theme park" experience and make it a totally different experience. Now there will be some rides running but what they are right now, who knows! -
Winter Fest at PKI and PC
jarmor replied to PkiJake's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Looks like to me, and this is my theory, that the event was planned for carowinds initially and pki join in the last minute because the virtual tour and everything else seems to focus on carowinds rather than attractions at pki, but then again it could just be my meds talking right now... -
HERE is the link for the BEST VIDEO EVER!!1!1!!$4 I dont know this guys theory and im not spielburg, yet, but I would have atleast read over my lines a few times before getting to hershey park in front of the camera and better yet when I got home and ready to edit the video I would have recorded my piece then and play it back to make sure it was fluid and energetic since it was merely a voice over. But other than that some kinda nice coaster shots

I think disney is going thru the same thing paramount parks is as far as not using the HB characters and pushing the new stuff. While I enjoy the "original" disney characters and things I just wished they will make original ride concepts for new rides instead of evening the score in a since. I really dont think disney likes traditional animation anymore because after the Lion King and Mulan you just see any more quality animated films. I think if disney pushed characters like alice in wonderland and pinicchio (however you spell it) people will become more familiar with them and appreciate them. But what do I know...

Coney Island - Link to Photos!!!
jarmor replied to coasterbill's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It may seem picky but when I clicked on this topic going on what the title was I was expecting to see some pictures right there and atleast some words about coney islands but I got nothing. Jarvis "the title should be "Coney Island link to my site, other than that its...as the police would say, theres nothing here to see folks keep it moving" Morant -

"WOW...That was pretty good. It was different but a good different. It grasp my attention the whole way thru. Music selection was awesome as well as the dancing ride op! Pretty impressive shots of shivering timbers. As well as the other coasters in the park!" Jarvis Morant, "A Day at the Park" Productions 2005 -

I was just going thru my pics and came across this pic of tomb raider in all of its glory at night. The quality isnt all that great because it was done with a regular 35mm camera (remember I lost my camera at SFA the same week ) Well just wanted to share it with you guys!! -

jarmor replied to jarmor's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Why not I thought it was pretty cool not knowing what was real or fake! But I gotta admit, I dont remember any most of the houses because I had my ears covered and my eyes closed most of the way thru. Hey! I was by myself and walking alone!! -
Holiday World (HW) Discussion Thread
jarmor replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I have a weird theory... See holiday world likes wooden coasters, right. Well this coaster is like a wood/steel hybrid coaster, following me. So its like they are converting over to a steel coaster slowly and based on that the next coaster is gonna be totally steel! Jarvis "yep, another boring day at work" Morant -

So thats where my nolimits track went to!! But seriously it does seem to be the professional nolimits software used to make this video. Jarvis "about to call my lawyer right now" Morant! -
Wow...you look different!
jarmor replied to jarmor's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Let me clarify a little...coasters that look different from when they first open! -
Its boring at work and I was just thinking about those coasters that look like totally different coasters. The first coaster that comes to my mind is Rattler at six flags fiesta texas and all of its "reprofiling". So what coaster comes to your mind? Oh yeah it would be cool if you can post a before and after pic!

Ever get into a fight at a theme park?
jarmor replied to freestylenut's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was also at busch gardens tampa and in line for sheikra on opening day. Well of course there was some down time and its was pretty hot so the park was handing out free bottle water. Well these dudes, I think they were latin, start cutting people like it was a normal thing to do. People were saying things to them but they would reply, "mind your own f%ckin' business". Sad to say the people backed down. Standing right behind me (because the line jumpers were not too far from behind me) were this group of like 5 black chicks (from the way freestylinut sounds maybe some of his kin folk... ) watching the whole ordeal and as soon as the latin dudes got close to them one of the black chick was on her cell phone and she was talking to somebody but obviously she wanted the latin dudes to hear her. She was like These Muthaf%ckas 'round here cuttin but I wish like hell they try to get in front of me!". The the other chicks chimed in and was saying things like sh!tttt its hot as hell out here and they playin games! Then one of them was like, "they gonna get the free water right up side they got damn head. Needless to say the latin dudes went to the end of the line but it was funny as heck watching all of that! -

Im sure they probably will since they incorporated that "theme" in a house a few years ago... I read what was on screamscape also, which isnt much (but het, its not their fault). But it would be hepful to know a schedule kinda so I can start making arrangements! Jarvis "HHN beats anyday at any park!" Morant
